Sounds like 2023/24 Klay Thompson. Can't make a bucket or make his threes. Occasionally playing decent defense and setting up his teammates. Mavericks signed him for shooting though?
Klay gets paid what $40,000,000 give or take? That is a lot of money. Unfortunately whether he is in the game or sitting out, you cannot tell the difference :)
No, he's only getting paid 16 million a year now ... Warriors actually offered 24 mil and he demanded $40 million. So he was very foolish not taking the Warriors offer.
Thought klay would be great with mavs, and warriors would feel slack. But man, compared to how the warriors performed last game, it shows that they have a chance to be the dark horse in the west. Leaving klay and mavs questionnable, unless jkidd doesnt play him more minutes and instead give it to other deserving guys.
Only one game but the Warriors had offered him 24 million a year and he refused .... wanting 40 million, which was crazy at his age with all the injuries. But the Warriors made the right decision to move on. How much he will help the Mavs remains to be seen.
