@@crevrath7374 Show was already in a bad-writing spiral when they brought back Bobby from the dead. They should never have killed him off the way they did. If they'd left the door open for his return without that ridiculous dream season the show might have recovered, or at least not fallen off a cliff. (The dream season itself wasn't all that bad - Barbara Bel Geddes was back at least. That next season, Season 10, was kind of a train wreck. Victoria got out before it went completely to crap.)
@@sunspot42 yes I agree with your spin too. Hence VP echoed this numerous times after the 7th (1984-85) season when the good quality writers departed , Dallas started a slow decline and VP gave two years notice before her 1987 departure.

What I love about Pam, Bobby and Christopher relationship is that even after Bobby and Pam divorced they were still a family and still loved each other and raised Christopher together and loved him as if he was theirs naturally. You have more adopted children being raised well and loved well than natural born children do.

Exactly. Pam was so dumb for leaving Bobby and then having the nerve to get mad at him for going out with Jenna AFTER they got divorced. Unlike her, he waited until they weren’t married anymore to move on. Pam sucked since season 3 but she got so insufferable in season 5.
Pam slapping Katherine is how Bobby fights Jr when he gets in the middle of Bobby and Pam. That's one thing Pam and Bobby have in common when it comes to each other and Christopher they are very protective even amongst family
Pam's family was trouble. Her brother Cliff was a headache. Instead of leaving the Ewings alone he kept on trying to fight them & her sister Katherine was a mess. Pam & Bobby deserve to live their lives in peace without their families interfering. Families need to let lovebirds live in peace & stop messing & poisoning one another with their negativity. If you ask me I think throwing negative energy at one another causes bad luck & I think that families should quit that because it only causes pain. Period.
Did you see the documentary. What Pam was saying about Patrick Duffy. It wasn't cool. Him sticking his hand up her behind. Her doing a fainting scene. And He laid on top of her. Not cool to me.. That really made me not like him. Today it would be called sexual harassment.. He kept saying how beautiful she was. Look at the documentary. She was happily married at the time.
It seems when Victoria Principal was on Dallas, she loved wearing women's white dress pants. Because she wore lot of white/creamed colored dress pants in the dream season.
THANK YOU! I too noticed how in seasons 6,7, and 8 (the dream season) Victoria Principal/Pamela Barnes Ewing was wearing alot of WHITE. But she looked good in it, though. By her final season 9, they dropped all the white clothing for Pam.

I have a friend who is adopted and years later they had a child of thier own the parents told when they found out the truth that they love each child same because one they made and the other they chose and they do
oh well it takes more than a letter to break up a marriage. if a relationship is built on a strong foundation there should be no fear in it collasping when high winds blow blow blow and blow. it takes communication compromise empathy compassion sacrifice and mostly trust and faith to overcome the outside BS..Ego and pride will hender a good marriage.
Never understood how Pam fell so naive to Katherine. As much practice as she’s had with J.R. manipulating her into leaving Bobby every chance he got, how in hell did she manage to skip right over Katherine’s red flags? Always trusting her with Bobby. Practically sending Katherine to Bobby whenever she didn’t have time for him yet not wanting to let him go while dating Mark. It became irritating after a while. And why couldn’t Bobby see how Katherine felt about him? No sister-in-law would be that “concerned” nor touchy-feely with her sister’s husband and no guy would allow her hugging all over him and him with her unless he suspected, at minimum, that she had more than friendly feelings towards him. I know it was the 80’s but damn…
Has anyone noticed that none of Morgan Brittany's acting spots has ever had her in a kissing scene? This is due to her over the top jealous husband Jack Gill. I was at a car show in the eighties where they were both guests and I was talking to Morgan after she had given me an autograph and I could see Gill giving me the side eye as if I was some sort of threat to him. I'm thinking wow, I'm just a 23 year old nobody fan and her husband is dripping jealousy. I'd hate to see what her would he would have done if he caught her cheating!
i don't know about that ..perhapsshe was sexier but she lacks the grace and or personality which makes her ugly. too fake and made up for me. Pam when she first arrived wass quite the honey bun and she matured gracefully....in other words Pam i would appreciate as a wife but Katherine would be the mistress side chick to visit when it suits me.

how i would've done the show was have Katherine fall in love with Jr and Jr told her he would leave Sue Ellen if she helped break up Pam and Bobby, and Pam almost Bobby got divorced but thr day before the papers were signed talked and found out about the forged letter and didn't divorced. And when Pamela comes back to Southfork Jr Ends his relationship with Katherine and starts chasing after Sue Ellen again and in season 8 she shots Bobby thinking it was Jr. Sue Ellen and Jr are back together and have a another baby but he cheats on her and they break up again Bobby and Pam renew their vows. And some of you are gonna think it stupid but let a girl dream.
That's actually better scheming than the writers were coming up with at the time. I thought it was stupid that Katherine confessed to Pam what had happened. She should have insisted she found Pam's letter in the garbage, and when Pam told her she never wrote any such letter, blamed it on JR. Which Pam totally would have believed.
While VP was spotty as an actress when she acted well...she killed it! That look on her face starting at 2:09 followed by the rest...everything! :D lol Between that then when she smacked Katherine (for real it appears! lol) = one of her BEST scenes ever on the show! While I always preferred VP w/ long hair this style was one her hottest. Shoulda kept it! Next season w/ that mid 80s bowl bob cut...um not so much lol

If JR and Cliff were both involved in a fatal car crash in the very first episode of Dallas, I think Pam and Bobby would have stood a good chance of having a long and steady marriage.
It just seems like Mark and Jenna came into their lives only because being together was too much on their families. When they got married they loved each other so much not thinking the affect it will be on their families. Pam and Bobby were living under the same roof as Jr and Jock. Even though Pam isn't Cliff guilty by association gets you every time. As soon as Pam and Cliff mom died Bobby and Pam shouldve lived in her mother's house but because it's a male dominated show, even though Southfork wasn't Bobby's all by himself, they had to stay there.
Katherine tried to shoot and kill Bobby. When that didn't work, she tried to inject him with poison while he was on his hospital bed, blind. When that didn't work, she tried to run her sister over and ended up killing him. She was dedicated and never gave up, you got to give her that. Greatest villain in the history of the show.
When Katherine says JR forced her to write the letter, how come Pam will not believe Katherine when she says this? Pam knows JR is a snake & he actually screwed Pam # of times before this clip. I know Katherine loves Bobby, but I still believe her that JR, for the least part, is behind the divorce letter between Pam & Bobby. Maybe it's been mentioned in earlier episode that JR has something to do with it, but I know JR hates Pam, so I don't believe Katherine is really lying when she told Pam that JR made her do it!!
I don’t believe that is fair to say… yes, technically, JR asked Katherine to make sure that Bobby and Pam didn’t get back together, but Katharine was the one who came up with the idea of the letter and Katherine by no means had a figurative gun to her head, she had no qualms whatsoever about writing that letter and breaking up Pam and Bobby…
If Bobby and I were married if Katherine sent a letter to our lawyer wanting us to get divorced because she wanted Bobby for herself after Pam left him, Bobby and I would gone to our lawyer we see the letter, Bobby says we never sent that to u we didn’t write it Bobby says to our lawyer that writing is from my former sister in law my first wife sister Katherine she is jealous that I married liane after Pam left me. Our lawyer contacted the Dallas police they see the letter go arrest Katherine for the fake letter she wrote trying to break up our marriage trying to harm us she(Katherine put in jail forever) can’t be near either one of us.
