Money should be allocated for more social services such as job training, mental healthcare, after school programs etc. We can do this and still fund the police.

Concealed carry had zero to do with this. Pretty sure they retrieved at least a couple of guns from their cars.....long guns (aka. rifles) Not many folk conceal a long gun, just sayin'

What exactly is a "high powered semi auto assault rifle" which you speak of? Last I've checked, assault rifles are not semiautomatic and have been illegal under Federal law since the 1930's
