As a Stars fan, I hope Joe "retires" as a Star, but I'd love to see the Sharks offer to bring him back for a one-day contract and let him officially retire as a Shark. Dude deserves to also have his number retired by both teams.

@@Black4Cook Wrong again. The Czech Republic won the 98' Olympics. The U.S. won the 96' World Cup.

@@mr.brenman2132 you refer to the world cup of hockey, which is not the official world cup. The official word cup is called Ice Hockey World Championships (IIHF) and Czech Republic beat the US in the semi-finals. The tournament the US won was organized by the NHL and took place with only 8 teams. This tournament was an additional tournament after the official world championship (official tournament is in mai every year and this world cup of hockey was in August after the official tournament) I think the name is stupid beacuse it is called world cup but it isnt a real world cup because it was a Europe vs America tournament.

@@Black4Cook Wrong again. The World Cup of Hockey is different then the World Championships. The World Cup of hockey is held in higher esteem then the World Championships. The 96' World Cup had all of the best teams in the world. The tournament final was best 2 out of 3 where the U.S. beat Canada in 3 games.
