Brings back so many memories. The best night time soap EVER !!! Keeping millions of people home on a Friday night !!! This will probably go down in history as the greatest show produced. I am so glad to have been a part of watching this awesome show.
I was born in 1978. Bed time was before Dallas started. My brother and sister and I used to sneak out of bed and watch from behind the couch. The theme song still gets my heart pumping.
That poor preacher after Cliff stood up had me rolling and laughing! He was about to have a heart attack after that "Speak now or forever hold your peace" part. LOL
When J.R. remarried Sue Ellen, Cliff Barnes was still in love with her. He even took an overdose after she dumped him for J.R. (although that was not the only reason that Cliff OD'd). I felt sorry for Afton when he stood up at their wedding. Cliff never saw the good woman he had in Afton; she saved his life after he swallowed that bottle of pills.
david taylor When you realize that Jim Davis was almost 70 when the series began, its no wonder most of the cast are gone. For that matter, most of the young fans like myself are pretty close to gone also.
Everyone hated JR. This was the whole point. An appalling character, who could be as evil as possible made the show. If he was Mr Nice Guy, there would have been no story line.
Wasp Nest, yes it's such a shame Lucy unfortunately 😢 sadly had to necessarily hate her VERY OWN flesh and blood uncle, J.R. even when every child should admire their own uncle.
I was a teenager at that time and I thought any woman would be lucky to have a Bobby Ewing in her life. He was kind and considerate while his brother was a real devil always pushing to the extremes..
Lol, well for Pam's weddings it made sense. He was even happy to marry her off to Mark. But why he was ever invited to JR and Suellen wedding, I don't know.
presumably the Ewing barbecues were the social events of the year in Braddock. All the "high society" and local notables probably had or wanted to participate in order to be considered among the notables of Braddock. Now, Cliff wants to be seen as a notable or an oil baron so he has to be there too. Ewing family weddings are probably important events that notables want to attend.
They could have had the Pam look a like step in as Pam. She did favor VP. The Pam storyline was a failure. Pam would never have left Christopher and it never gave any ending. Kay the senator from DC was a good match. I did like April & Bobby together too.
Bobby and Pams second wedding was the best especially the flashback to their first. They were really in love with each other and should have never split up.
Marion H Cliff was still in love with Sue-Ellen after their affair. Also to make a good show you have to have something that will give conflict. Cliff and JR were always at each other’s throat.
Bet If Jim Davis hadn't passed away and they kept the Miss Ellie/Jock separation storyline going, we would have even seen a Miss Ellie and Jock Wedding No. 2
I hate Bobby and Pam's make believe flash back wedding. I would have preferred to have them just show then at Southfork for the entire ceremony instead of that made up nonsense.
My mother's fav 80s tv show I was a kid in the 80s good ol days when granny her and my great uncle would have their snackfood ready every Fri night they would tell my cousins and I shhh be quiet lol glued into it
Lucy wedding is the only time the whole family including wifes were all together.....its a shame cliff was not there too lol he normally turned to at ewing weddings and barbecues!!!
I had forgotten about all these weddings. Presley was very pretty then - what she looks like now is something else. I can't get used to her stark red hair and the surgery she has had. She's a very sweet lady and had her reasons for leaving Elvis so we can't say anything because we weren't there and don't know what went on. I wish her and Lisa the best.
Audrey Kennedy Because that was her married name. Just because a spouse passes on does not mean the woman has to go back to her maiden name. It is the woman’s choice. Look it up.
@@frankiefelinesalwayswelcom5825 She did take back her maiden name. Elvis forbade her to carry the Presley name. After Elvis pasted away she went back to Presley.
What a horrible wedding dress Jenna (Priscilla Presley) was given to wear! Looked like something from Little Bo Peep, all that was missing was a staff and a flock of sheep! 😂
Lucy and Mitch's wedding was done at the fake South Fork ranch, in the studio in California. I like all the weddings that were done on the really South Fork ranch in Texas. I think more people were pushed or fell in the fake South Fork pool than the real South Fork pool in California. Pam and Bobby's remarriage was done at the real South Fork ranch in Texas. I am very happy about that.
Rob Rutt It’s customary that the father gives his daughter away because he’s basically saying to his son-in-law: “Ok I’m trusting that you will take good care of my daughter the way I did.”
Jenna marrying Ray and basically moving onto Southfork land again made me wonder if she ever really loved Bobby the way she claimed she did. Very distasteful and up until her falling all over Ray, I was in her corner because of how Bobby left her high and dry!
The Bobby and Pam flashback wedding didn’t work for me because Pam clearly looked a lot older than she did when Dallas first started, which only showed them shortly after their marriage, and from which this wedding scene was re-enacted.
Bobby and Pams was the only ones that took the vows seriously and were truly in love. They were with each other even when they were not together. You could see it on both of there faces the entire series.
God no. JR and Sue Ellen adored each other despite everything and stuck by each other - even almost getting back together in 2012. Pam ran out on Bobby and left her son.
Has anybody noticed that whenever J.R. gets married there's always thunder in the background? LOL When he married Sue Ellen the second time there was the threat of a thunderstorm and when he married Cally there was also thunder.
OHHHH YEAH, I noticed those gloomy wedding weather forecasts anytime J.R. and the cursed bride married. I even reckon his(J.R.'s) and Sue Ellen's wedding weather foreshadowed a rocky marriage 🌩️🤵🏻💔 👰🏻🌧️ by means of threats of a thunderstorm. 🧐 Those threatening weather patterns like that went to show that J.R. wasn't marriage material AT ALL!
@@Zzsmuf She would've better off w Mark. Bobby would've cheated on her sooner or later. He sure "made the rounds" after he & Pam divorced. Mark wasn't like that. He would've been faithful to her. Plus he didn't have a toxic narcissist brother either! Only other woman I liked Bobby w was April. Really hated what they did to April.
Why does Pam always wear the most ugliest wedding dresses. And can we talk about the score in JR and Sue Ellen wedding it was so lovely except for the Here Comes The Bride, it just sounded weird.
Jenna never loved Ray and he never loved her. She was a gold digger. First Bobby and here Ray. I hated Priscillas acting. Morgan Fairchild was better. And I´d loved to see Morgan Fairchild and Morgan Brittany in scenes togehter.
I waited and waited for Bobby and Jenna wedding...and it never happened....Even Jenna and Jack, but that was a dream, but Jenna and Ray ????? It wasn't believable...
I just wish that the horrible accident hadn't happened with Pam. She was hurt so badly- nearly died. Then she saw herself. She ran away from Bobby & Christopher. I felt bad for all of them.
Brandi Hilton Pam DID DIE in that car accident, when her red sports car burst into flame. At that time she had wanted off of the show. It wasn’t ever really made known the reason why.
Yes. Gary & Valene were the parents of Lucy. Gary was J.R.'s & Bobby's brother. He was the black sheep of the family & went to California, where him & Valene settled down in the subdivision called Knots Landing.
