Lets be real, more than half of those fans are there to see how Caitlin play. Thanks to those many fans following Caitlin now they provide charter plane for everyone. Let's support them all.

Great to hear the appreciation for charter flights. And for new players coming in & old ones retiring. Arike says it's "the cycle of basketball, the cycle of life . . . it's good for the league." Kalani says, "I'm excited for the new ones that's coming in . . . great time." Though I am a longtime Caitlin Clark fan, that was a fabulous shot by Arike to win the game!

Caitlyn gave them 20 millions in a preseason game. This is just a beginning for women's basketball. She will be ready and hungry for the season because she is a great competitor and I expect even better performance than 40 points triple double.

That limited roster ? shows the WNBA's biggest issue. Sports are not just about teams, individual stars for fans to root for are crucial to any sports success. Players have often built a fan base over their college career, but its next to impossible for them to maintain them, much less gain more, when they turn pro. Most rookies are cut & play overseas before they are able to make it into to the league. Even if they survive their rookie year, players are constantly coming & going from the league due to limited spots causing constant cuts. Its hard to get fans invested in a league or willing to support ind. player when so much uncertainty about who will be on a team or even in the league from yr to yr.

I don't think the high Popularity Rate in the WNBA & Charter Planes & Flights, ecterra. Has come & gotten to this point just because of Catlin Clark. Angel Reese has brought a lot of Popularity just as much as Catlin Clark. And there are other WNBA Players out there too, that has brought much hype to the WNBA & th World.

Exactly! That’s what the media wants people to believe. These ladies have been balling. The younger generation having more of a social media presence and the fact that college athletes are now able to market themselves with NIL deals is why more eyes are on the women’s game. Talent has never been the issue. The knew generation of athletes have luxuries that players before them didn’t have. It’s a slap in the face to make it seem like one player is the “savior” of the league. Smh. Only bandwagon fans would believe that.

The ESPN paid good money for a new TV-deal, and they have been promoting Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers and a few other women players. So the ESPN is a big part of the reason why the WNBA suddenly has money for charter flights.

It’s just another 25 million they have to overcome before the league as a whole is breakeven. Having security as the reason is such BS, security from what? 10 year olds, wanting autographs.

There might be creepos out there who'll try to get too close or take unwarranted pictures or want to hug the players, that's what the security is for. Or there might even be parents who are delusional and will try to flag down players for autographs.. that's what the chartered flights are a way to get the teams a more favorable travel experience

Allegedly Brittney Griner was harassed by a right wing RU-vidr in Dallas in 2023, so they had to call airport security. The league has a better economy after the new media deal, so allegedly they can afford the charter flights.

The only reason their preseason game was sold out is because Caitlin was there. End of story. If it was any other team, it would of been a tiny crowd, which is business as usual.

She got the shot off cause the one guarding her didn't do her job, she gave her to much space, should have been all up on her, instead of playing as far off as she did.
