The video I shot today, about the construction of a dam/wall to prevent lava flowing in Nátthagi.
If it does, then it might become a threat for the road 427, Suðurstrandarvegur, and for a buried fiber optic cable line.
The construction should be completed by the end of the weekend.
I interviewed Ari Guðmundsson of Verkís, the company that is taking care of this project. He is a Civil Engineer and the Project Leader of the dam construction.
