It's about time they got Dam-Funk...he's only afterall one of the most passionate, and inspiring artists to ever enter the game. FINALLY "Invite the Light" comes out Sep. 04, it is the ONLY ALBUM since the last Madlib album I got that I actually WANT to go to the record store and pay full price. NO downloading, no free streaming...infact his album was streaming for free yesterday, I could only listen to 3 tracks (that I already heard) because I didn't want the rest of the album spoiled...I am THAT excited about it. Hell I even traveled 7+ hours a year ago to see him perform (and ended up meeting him) in NYC. I HAD to tell him "I traveled all the way here JUST to see you, and I really wanted to say thank you for your music". I swear, his calling was music, he was put on this Earth FOR music. This guys' music is so unique and extraordinaty that it's very surprising he isn't selling records like Drake or these other played-out artists...He stays cool, he remains true, and he has NO competition because nobody can compare to him. The man is a genius, a mastermind, a legend.
+Shayne B It's never too late to start listening to his music, but you MUST NOW! It is life-changing music. He is one of my biggest inspirations. Even if you download his free EP "STFU" that was released early this Summer, those 4 tracks are phenomenal. An example of it is at the end of this video when his music starts playing...that song is called "FREE" it's 8 minutes of the most blissfull, beautiful, peaceful music I have ever heard. He is one of those artists where if you just close your eyes and listen to some of his songs, you get choked up and your eyes water because it gives you this spiritual feeling unlike anything else. He is certainly THE artist not to sleep on, now that you know him START NOW, I mean it. Life-altering music.
FunkMoSphere at Virgil Bar every Thursday on Santa Monica/Virgil. Be there to hear The Honorable Dam Funk and other dope Boogie Funk Djs spin that FUNK! Great time every time.
Nicolas Bertin $30??? I have a friend that sold a 12" of ain't no half stepping by big daddy Kane for $340 all because it had a rare version on the B side.
All this time I'm thinking 'Boogie' was a feeling you get deep down in your bones when that beat drops💣🎵💃, or when your favorite sing along part comes on🗣🎤🎼. Little did I know it's a music genre🤔😃😉
+ahmad jamaal III It is kind of weird that they get 10,000 - 400,000 views on each video but make the artists in the video pay for a stack worth only $200...
