Damage, Cost, & Getting Epic / Legendary Schematics in Palworld

We all started somewhere. Not everyone knows everything about a game. Even after over 200 hours, i still learn a lot from others. Thank you for continuing these guides. I lost so many items from it falling through the floor after butchering in my base. It helped to leave a space open and butcher it where i caught it since my bases had alot of items dropping from ore trees, stone ranch, etc....

I'd love to see a video on base building. Just efficient builds as you level up, what work stations and pals to prioritize, how to place stations out so pals don't get stuck (especially the big ones), defenses, etc. I just find that I'm always reconfiguring my base as I unlock new pals and stations and some fresh ideas could be cool beans yah feel? even getting technical on stations and workspeed could be cash money

in case you wanted to know, the pump action shotgun is really really good. like. really good. hella damage, shoots pretty fast, and decent clip

You've literally been my guide for so many of my favorite adventure games (BOTW/TOTK) and now Palworld?! I'm about 120 hours in and come to just about the same conclusions you have, such as mainly using pal/giga/legendary spheres, and also using AR and Crossbow for main hunting weapons! I will definitely try out using Rayhound as my land mount because that speed is awesome, but for now my Jetragon and Fenglope have gotten me everywhere I need to go! Thanks again for these vids!

An important thing to notice: While the upgraded equips are more expensive to make and repair, they will use more common materials for repairs and ammo. So it might be worth using a lower tech level equip with higher rarity to not strain the supply of the top tier materials you are making. They are better used for spheres and base upgrades first. And even after that, you can save the expensive stuff for higher level pals and not waste them on things you just farm in masses.

So there have been posts I've seen that show the regular baseline Pal Metal Armor (no upgraded temperature resistance) can indeed spawn as a legendary schematic. But no one I've seen remembers where they got it from and it seems to be a general consensus there is no dedicated boss drop for it like all the others. It's kinda pointless anyway since the hot/cold ones not only protect against temperature but also come with a slightly higher defense rating and durability. But if you could find that before unlocking the other versions, would def be a good thing to use. I believe they just have a random chance to spawn in high overworld and dungeon chests so keep an eye out or go farming if you REALLY want to be a completionist. Also, I've heard the various versions of the Refined Metal Armor (iirc) actually come in different colors with like the rare or epic version being the only black armor in the game.

Hey Austin a word of advice, you can lock your references so you don't get cells that read #REF! when you move things, sort, etc. You can do this independently for the alphabetic and numeric reference by putting a '$' before each. For example: "$A$2" would always reference A2 whether you move it, copy it somewhere else, etc. "$A2" would always reference the A column, but would shift which row it references as you move it around. Hope you find this useful!

I'll be honest I didn't even care about the information when I clicked on the video, I just clicked because I knew you'd MAKE me interested. I wasn't wrong. XD This was fascinating. I love your content.

I have some tips that I found out Tip 1: if you use fengelope and you see a cliffe you should use 'Cloud tempest' you first off all will get a huge speed best and the moment fengelope finishes the attack if your still in the air you must jump it will give you a huge speed boost. Tip 2: if you want to get a shit ton of xp just gather a shit ton of eggs and then hatch them all it will give you so much xp and you will get a ton of pals

Great content! Just to mention when the wanted level appears , you can just fly up in the air higher than where they can shoot you. The game will automatically try to respawn them in the air and you will only see their name and an invisible outline. Then after 20-30 seconds any wanted level goes away. Worth mentioning because it works easy and fast.

You're missing out on the pump shotgun. It's incredibly powerful and efficient. One shotgun blast at close enough range (the damage falls off very quickly at range) does somewhere between 5-10 times the assault rifles damage. Each individual pellet does about 2/3rds of an assault rifle bullet. With a gun-focused build you can one-shot any non-alpha/lucky pal in the game with the shotgun up close. I've been running Frostallion+4 Gobfins, and I can 1-shot Mammorest Crysts even with type disadvantage (basically I'm losing the entire benefit of the Frostallion). That said, if you have unlimited ammo/repair materials, it doesn't exactly take much time to fire 5-10 assault rifle rounds into a target, so you're not losing much in terms of DPS while gaining way more range. So you don't NEED to use the shotgun, but if you are worried about efficiency the shotgun blows everything else away easily.

There are 25 Legendary Schematics that we know of, some schematics that can only be gotten from Locked Chests in the overworld, and then the Purple Chests at the very end of Dungeons (not before the boss.) The drop rates are very very low, with weights like 0.04 to 0.012 depending on which it is you're looking for. For reference, Legendary Pal Metal Armor (non-resistant) can only be gotten from Snow Dungeons, not in the overworld locked chests. This can be important to people as they might not like how the Resistant options look, and it is significantly more rare than the Resistant options as well. You can find specific drop rates on the Palworld Wiki (not Fandom.) Side note: Bosses respawn as soon as the day/night cycle icon switches back to day. The only bosses that take an hour to respawn are those that are in the sealed temples with teleporters.

Love you Austin, by the way I do recommend checking out the pump shotgun because it is a beast even as regular. Just kill black marketeer go out of render and back for it to respawn and repeat for some gold then use that for ammo. Works for me pretty well instead of making ammo.

The only channel to not only confidently tell you everything you need to know about each individual part of palworld per video but to also back it up by extensive research and data to show how and why it works! Absolutely loving every video and seeing the hard work you put into these videos keep it up!

Just a helpful tip, if you are set on taking down pals such as jetragon and the two in the desert(I forget their names) and maybe aren't at a good place to catch them. Use an ice pal to freeze them, hit the frozen pals with rockets (aim low on them), and then collect the loot when they take fall damage and are defeated. Catching them like Austin said is the better method, but this way also works if maybe you're not prepared to catch them

for blazemut / suzaku / beakon / necromus ,paladius, and jetragon no need to wait one hour, it will respawn every ingame day cycle, so if u hit nighttime and sleep, u can hunt them again. only work for non dungeon boss

The pumpy is really good if you get the upgraded variants, my guild found the epic one and it packs the most punch per shot, behind the rocket launcher of course. Last night i finally earned my crossbow legendary schematic. Now that means i have hot and cold palmetal armor, palmetal helmet, crossbow, handgun, pump action shotgun AND assault rifle all legendary! Super decked out in all gold stuff feels awesome and now gonna farm for rocket launcher lol. You guy need to grind for these but they so worth it!

However I just want to say I am always beyond grateful for the time and effort you put into the videos you create. As a LCSW myself, I am unfortunately fully aware of how negative social media platforms can be from the false anonymity it provides to some who use it to spew hate. However, I am beyond grateful for your work and I hope those of us who are grateful make sure we share our thanks to you so that it drowns out all the negative. Your content really does have a positive effect on people. Always stay true to you and know that most of us are very grateful for you.

The pump action shotgun is insanely good, i'd say it's better than every other weapon in the game except pal weapons (since they scale with pal stats and team buffs) and the rocket launcher. The reason for this is due to the player ATK scaling from the damage formula. Every other weapon in the game that isn't a shotgun will use up 1 unit of ammo per damage instance, but both the double-barrel shotgun and the pump action shotgun will deal anywhere from 1 to 8 instances of damage per unit of ammo depending on your distance to the target, each scaling to the damage on the weapon tooltip. This means that as long as you hit at least 2 shots per bullet, you will deal more damage than every other legendary weapon that isn't the rocket launcher. This also makes it a very economically-friendly weapon to use, considering it's only 220g per bullet, or 1 refined metal ingots+3 gunpowder, having to waste less time restocking ammo is a huge plus for me. The damage formula is also coded in a way that makes you deal significantly more damage to an enemy if your character's ATK is higher than their DEF, which scales even harder when you're hitting several instances of damage per bullet with the shotgun. If you take firing rate and reload time into consideration, maybe only the assault rifle can rival its dps in exchange for significantly more ammo usage.

- For fastest drop farming, you can change the Pal spawn rate from 1 to 2 or 3 in the world settings. This makes each individual Pal spawn go up to triple their output, including making 3 alpha bosses spawn at the same time and place. Also triples the lag though lol. I don't recommend it when fighting the Legend Pals, they're brutal in a pack. - There's also a setting for increasing drops from Pals too, but that doesn't increase the likelihood a schematic will drop from a boss, just the amount of items dropped when you hit the roll (so you'd get either 0 schematics from a boss, or 3). It's great if you're farming mass amounts of normal drops like bones or pal fluid for example.

Hey Austin John don’t forget about that 1 purple chest in the ruined city, south west of the frozen area that currently has its own loot table. It’s the only purple chest in the game that drops red chest loot but doesn’t need a key. It’s just a bit south east from that large circle structure that has the x4 chest on top of it. Sorry I don’t currently have the game up to tell you the exact coords. It always spawns as a purple chest, always has red chest loot, has a decent chance to drop legendary schematics, and doesn’t require a gold key. If you are making rounds and opening the 4 on top of the circle structure, might as well swing by an open that one. It has a super long respawn timer though. I believe it’s the same timer as the chest in the cave alpha bosses which is like 6 hours

Pump-Action Shotgun + Rocket Launcher is my daily loadout. Shotgun shells are very common from Syndicate spawns in the NE desert, and if you're doing the twins legendary pals up north, you're going to bump into those guys. Some of them have rocket launchers too!

I don't know if anyone else has used this feature, but if you are playing co-op and use another players pal workbench to make the flopie necklace. when you drop material, the flopie puts the material in the other players' inventory. Useful when relocating a base. 12:59
