In this video we show you how a heavily pitted and corroded chrome Work VS XX wheel gets restored to a show quality finish. First the faces were put in a bath and a reverse electrolysis process was preformed. Once the chrome, nickel and copper plating was removed they were ready for a 4 stage ceramic media polishing process. This custom machine was designed in house specifically for 3 piece wheels. These are not chrome plated anymore, they are polished aluminum. If you have damaged chrome on your 3 piece wheels, contact us!

I am in Michigan and have one Chrome wheel with real deep scratches and peeling chrome on outer edged. Can you recommend a place to repair it or can you do it?

No you can’t clean up flaking chrome like that. You have to strip it in a electrolytic chemical bath

Reverse chrome process. Same as chrome plating except backwards.

But this doesn't fix the problem does it? How to you now prevent the bare exposed metal from corroding?

once it is polished to perfection you can high gloss clear coat but make sure the surface is clean before coating. or you add ceramic coating / wax and hand polish every 2 weeks or so

For those of us that are morons how do you tell if it is a 3 piece rim. I also have polished aluminum rims for my 92 corvette. Do you only do 3 piece? Thank you, beautiful work!
