I used to do this for a living, hope you wore a mask while sanding since it looks like powdercoat and the dust is pretty bad for you. Other that that im impressed, looks great. Wet painting like that outdoors aint easy. We hade some diffrent equipment but the way we did it was pretty much the same. Good job!

Did you quit the masking tape when paint Still wet or once it dried? It so you did a pass to the masking tape with a razór or just you tape off??

Wow…in the time it took you to prep one rim a set of 4 just got powder coated and baked. Oh, and thanks for that generic bass drop @ 12:42. At least you didn’t just cram it down our throats without the fade, had a bit of time to prepare the volume knob. I guess nice job but bro, switch to powder coat. The time it took you to tape off the black just for that little silver strip was excruciating to watch 😂

Nice job. But let me give you an advise: WEAR GLOVES!!! When you degrease your surface with any chemicals, wear gloves! Safety for your skin. And, don't touch the surface you gonna paint with bar fingers, you will get back grease on your surface.

Sheesh that paint job has to cost close to the price of new rims. At least 3 days work I'd imagine. I wish it was easier to two tone rims lol

An improvement on Subaru Forester wheels 2012-2024 all ugly pigs' alloy where you painted white, and the rest is black.

I do not want to insult the author of the video as it is clear how much time and effort he put in to this project. It is may be fine for DIY but unfortunatelly results are not that long lasting given the harsh environment wheels live in. I would not pay 1 dollar for the job that is not a powdercoating as powdercoat is pretty much only proper technology for the wheels, everything else is putting on the lipstic. Thos is not the process that will take in properly equipped professional wheel repair shop should you bring similar wheel there. All the paint will be stripped in chemical bath, to bare metal > all gouges will be filled with aluminum vith sort of welding machine for aluminum and then cut down to be flush with the rest of the suface with industry specific CNC machine , then wheel will be powder coated black and then all those silver lines, they were not color, rather bare aluminum, so CNC machine will be programned (it can actually take its own measurments) to shave off hairline thick layer of black powder coating to expose aluminum and after that wheel will be powder coated with clear powder to seal exposed aluminum and prevent it from oxydizing. And thats a proper repair with long lasting results or till you hit the next curb :)

if you want to do the job right, you should weld the dents, paint and diamond cut. This is cheap restoration.

I have done once 4 wheels with masking it for two colours... Never do it again, my nerves are not for it. :)
