This is my take on the daily vlog concept.
Everyday I upload a 4 minute vlog, shot 4 minutes after the day before.
There’s no editing, no re-takes and no music over-dubs and they always finish right on the 4 minute mark, no exceptions.

Suffering from chest pain and tenderness three months after Minor chest injury. x ray report is totally normal.Orthopaedic doctor and general physician is saying nothing to worry u will recover.If x ray is normal why its still paining after three months and how long it will pain.there is also small hard bump of 2 mm inside Muscles feel when I press hard there.Contacted two doctors in Apollo Hospital Bangalore main branch.

Don't mess with pain, man. Take a break from surfing and see an expert! I agree it sounds muscular so hopefully some rest (and maybe a bit of ice) will help, but best to see a doctor and get their opinion.

I had major rib and sternum pain after surfing and bodyboarding daily for a month ... a few days off and is way better already

I rocked my ribs skateboarding 6 months ago , I tried to surf for the first time a week ago as I was fully healed. The first time I jumped on the board I hit that spot and immediately felt something. It was not hard enough to brake anything. It’s most likely torn cartilage . It took three weeks for my first injury to feel healed. Hope you found some relief.

Did you get this sorted? I’ve had the exact same experience 3 times consecutively. Nothing showing up in X-rays so I’ve put it down to getting older and losing core strength. I’ve started a lot more stretching and exercise to try and prevent this from reoccurring.

The only Thing that Worked to me was make a bandage under the neoprene suit!!!!it Works very well...

Hope you feel better soon. That kind of pain sucks. Not sure X-rays would help because even if there’s a fracture they don’t do anything. Best to increase your antioxidants to help heal whatever it might be and take it easy. Don’t do anything that irritates it for couple weeks.

Yeah, I think you are right. Need to ease off on what caused the injury in the first place at least for a week, maybe longer.

@@filippo7576 For me it was bone bruising from over use. The only solution was to not surf as much :(

​@@GivesAMinutehow long did it take you to heal? I am off surfing for 5 weeks and it still hurts when I'm getting up from my bed. Xray was ok, and the doctor said to be patient, but man it's been 5 weeks 🙈

It's actually getting better tho, the first day was terrible but since then it's steadily getting less painful :)

This isn’t an advert but when I’m out for extended sessions I wear this padded vest they make for surfing. It’s more of a preventative than a fix, but I make a habit of it and it helps a lot if you get this consistently as a daily surfer. The bands they make are garbage though, also wear a rash guard under it to go full kook mode and avoid the friction on your skin. I get some looks but the pain is not worth it.

Cheers Luke, since this video I have actually invested in a padded vest from O&E. I wear it every time and you're right, it's not a preventative measure but it does keep things in check nicely. :)

Could be inercoast cartridge. I've been out of the water for 4 months now with torn/damaged inercoatal cartridge injury from paddling. Sucks lol

My mate when he switched from a foamie to a hard board damaged his rib cartilage just from laying on the board, he still has the pain slightly after a few months, but he bought himself a padded vest which he puts over his wetsuit, I reckon you might have a similar issue

@@GivesAMinute I'm not sure if uses this specific one but something very similar to this www.oceanearthstore.com/wetsuits-rash-vests/rib-guard-padded-vest-grey/ I think it was just because he doesn't have any fat on him so his boney ribs would stick into the board etc and damaged them somehow

Not good, hope it heals up soon. I had a similar injury, put an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel on it 3 times a day. It will bring the swelling down, & bring some relief. Listen to your body, & have a few days off until it comes good. (The surf will be perfect during this time!)

I think regardless of what the injury is I need to take the time off and let things heal. Surfing every day for an hour or so has taken it's toll!!

Hi there! I exactly have the same thing you got, went non stop surfing for 5 weeks in Costa Rica. The pain started on New Year’s Day and still is! How did you get rid of it, I leave to Bali in April and hope it is gone by then…

I feel your pain bro. I'm going through the exact same thing. It sucks cos I I want to surf whilst I'm here in sri lanka on holiday for the next 2 weeks but I physically can't 😫

Kuna, unfortunately it's a problem that only goes away with time off from surfing. I still have pain if I surf too much, but if I take a few days off the pain sort of goes away.

I cracked my rib falling down the stairs , then split it when I sneezed driving a highway truck . Took everything I had not to hit the ditch , wrap yourself then use duck tape over it to hold you. Yes X-ray!!! My spilt was pocking my organs . I still worked was ruff but I finished my week. Hope you feel better soon
