Dame Myra Hess plays Beethoven Sonata No 30 in E major Op 109 

One of the best, of not the best, interpretations of this wonderful sonata on RU-vid, and her playing is faithfulto the score. Dame Myra Hess was rightly regarded as a legendary pianist.

Mitica Myra Hess!!! Il suo sublime Beethoven era virile ma anche filosofico,pieno di verve ma ricco di mezze tinte,rigoroso ed improvvisativo ad un tempo...insomma,unico!! E poi io la amo a prescindere, per quella trascrizione di "Jesus bleibet meine Freude" resa immortale da Dinu Lipatti,che meraviglia!!

You can understand, when you listen to her playing, why people flocked to her wartime concerts at the National Gallery. Beautiful.
