Holy Shit! This girl has one of the most amazing pop voices I've ever heard! It will be interesting to see how this translates into a long career given all of the talent competition out there.. esp when success if as much intangible and connections and timing as it is talent.

I saw the original Thelma Houston do this in concert in 1977. Yes I'm that old. this girl WAS spot on!!! Thelma would be very proud!!!

I was in elementary and junior high school during the disco years. This was great dancing music. the 70s had some great dancing music.

Wow, nicely done young lady!! Her vocals were right on point, she made this song her own and sang it to perfection in my humble opinion. No crazy vocal runs, pretty damn close to the original. Also have to give props to the backing band, the bassist nailed the original!! Bravo!!!

The Original song was sung by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, the great Teddy Pendegrass lead vocals, a couple years later they kicked in a more Disco beat with TH on vocals

What's good about Dami is that each week she sings her songs as per genre, disco this week, rock in week 5. Seen on the uk x factor, they change the turn the songs into ballads because they can't sing how it should be. A class above any x factor I've seen

That's to your ears and that group has more than one singer and multiple instruments that this version never had but as far vocals she left them for dead especially that male singer and his chorus is sung like he just sucked on some helium
