They are dead. You didn't know that? DAMIEN died from colon cancer and Dame got killed in a rain storm auto accident same day he died but her demise was 2 years later ...had they not passed away they'd be PLATINUM SUCCESS 💽💽💽💽 and they wouldn't need an Unsung segment.
Debra Jean Hurd aka Deah Dame had some pipes on her. I heard her solo album, she was an amazing singer she didn't have much of a part on this song to show it. Damian sounded great. You don't hear to many artist sound exactly like their recordings and this is that group.
Yo my guy I've got a funny story about him. When he first moved to Atlanta he came in Aaron's to rent some furniture where I worked at the time and he had no ID. I had just bought the CD a week prior, and I'm like you're the dude on the CD cover. We used that for ID. We became cool after that. He had a cousin in Detroit with the same name as mind. But yeah, that's my lifetime memory of him.
@@I-AM-BELIEVER Yo what up. When Bruce was a customer of Aaron's he'd come in to make a payment and we'd do the small talk. The CD wasn't known by too many people at the time, but everyone knew Baby-face. About 2mos later I'm watching him on Apollo. There was no serious hanging or anything
Man, she was so fine. As pretty as her sweet little voice. It's heartbreaking to see this and know that they both died tragically on the same day, two years apart.
@@emoore8478 I truly believe they were sacrificed for La Face to be succesful as a label. No different than Hollywood couples that sacrifice their first borns for success in the industry. I liked them a lot but they were not the group you launch a label with. IMO
@@stephenbrown4477 Y’all seriously get on my nerves with these conspiracies. How were the sacrificed when the female artist was literally under the influence when she was driving from a party and Damian had passed of cancer. It’s like y’all can’t believe someone can pass of natural or other things. Smh
@@tyronetriplett4071 Jean Hurd was killed in a car accident on June 27th, 1994. Bruce Edward Broadus died two years later on the same day due to being diagnosed with colon cancer.
@@TgotSoul Damian Dame produced and did a lot behind the scenes for LaFace records and never got rewarded for it. LaFace could have pushed them but were more focused on TLC, Tevin Campbell, Toni Braxton, and Usher(his first album)
OMG! They were.so friggin' talented!! Life is so unfair to have taken them both so young!! Continue to RIHP Emperor & Empress.of R& B Romance!! 💘 🎶 👗Best of LaFace!
Yes!, he definitely does completely they sound just alike... It's just too bad that this record did not take off the way it should have took off back in that day🕛
@@bgrant1500 Tony Toni Tone actually came out exactly one year before Damien Dame. But I don't believe one was copying the other. Their voices just naturally have a similar tone. Great singers.
These two had so much potential. Such a tragic way for their stories to end. The female died in a car accident and the dude died a year later on the exact same date from cancer .
Look of Royalty both pure authentic talent, you visited this small planet left your mark and moved on to Greater things good timing. Because now they are letting any piece of cape, culture vultures in this business gets worse each year it's a 🎪 and the clowns took over not music just distortion.
@@TgotSoul He never changed up sorry to hear about the death of these 2 beautiful individuals my heart goes out to them she was gorgeous keep up the good content salute
I find it odd, but yet peculiar about their deaths: They both were born 7 days apart, and died on the same day, just 2 years apart from each other 😢. Bruce Edward "Damien" Broadus: was born September 13, 1966 and passed away on June 27, 1996 due to colon cancer. He was 29 at the time of his death.😢 Debra Jean "Deah Dame" Hurd: was born on September 20, 1958 and passed away on June 27, 1994 due to a fatal car accident, when she was driving home during a thunderstorm 😢. She was 35 at the time of her death. Rest In Peace to them both. 🕊️🕊️🙏🏾🙏🏾💙💙💖💖
Babyface & L.A. Reid played themselves when they shelved Damian Dame and didn't invest more time and promotion in them. These two were as good as Ashford & Simpson.
💯 didn't seem like they were all that invested... right down to it & exclusivity remix did pretty good on the charts, but laface held up dropping the 3rd single almost a YEAR after the album debuted, and it flopped I think they did it intentionally They were the first victims of the laface cartel... before TLC & Toni Braxton
@@desmondriles9311 Deah was an alcoholic, she's drunk here. That's why she sat down the whole time. It was as if she didn't know she was performing in front of a live audience, she was there....but she wasn't there.
