Good on the Bucks for being aggressive here. We’ve seen Front Offices take their homegrown stars for granted (ex. LeBron in Cleveland the first time) and not go all out to build a serious team around their star. Milwaukee has done what they could throughout Giannis’ time as a Top 3 player in the world to build a very good roster around him, this further proves that.

@@brandoncrockett9266 The NBA can be the place for best players in the world. But there is no way to prove NBA's dominance over other leagues. The funny thing is NBA doesn't care about the world basketball. They won't bother creating a competition to rightfully claim world championship. Even in the national team arena, the US don't care about what's happening in the world and keep getting beaten over and over. Yet, despite all of this not caring, they still think they are the best in the world. In international level, there is no B-team or C-team. There is only one team that is supposed to be your best possible team available. So, as proven very recently, the US best team is not the best in the world. Unless they win it again, this won't change. So, again, NBA's MVP isn't world's best player. NBA champion isn't the world champion. NBA and the rest of the world are two separate things. Considering the rules are also different, we can't even claim that NBA's best player is good at basketball. We can only say that he is good at NBA basketball (within NBA rules).

The Bucks built a championship team around Giannis, the Blazers never could do that around Dame, that’s why they’re teaming up in Milwaukee and not Portland. Good for them. The two players in the league most “loyal to the soil”, and their games should fit together perfectly.

Bucks definitely got better but the Celtics are still the favorite in my eyes anyways. Al, Horford and Brogdon coming off the bench never mind Brissett and the guy they just got from Cleveland. I definitely take the Celtics over Milwaukee in a seven game series. Holiday put up 30 points against the Celtics and we still beat them. They just replaced holiday with another point guard. I know Damien is much better. I just don’t think it will be enough to beat the Celtics.

Any team Dame ended up on would-be championship or bust, to be honest. But Dame and Giannis seem like a perfect fit. Giannis can stop bringing the ball up and shooting and Dame can bet more spacing. I am wondering how effective creating a wall for Giannis will be since teams will have to respect Dame's shot as soon as he crosses half-court.

Nurkic is very hit or miss--usually miss. He can give you a few great games a month, but that's all you're getting, at best. He'll spend a third of the season on the IR and the rest of the season giving you bipolar performances. He's inconsistent, in both effort and skill.

Health has been the real issue for the Bucks. If Giannis has a healthy Middleton, they get past the Celtics. The Heat don't beat a healthy Giannis & Middleton in 5. But I actually like Middleton as the #3 in the Big 3. It's a better fit for his talent TBH.

As a Suns fan I thought Ayton can't handle the pressure of the playoffs. He is a great player and has a lot of upside but the Suns trading Mikal and Cam really traded their future to win now! Nurkic is a lot better fit for this team defensively. Not going to say the Suns is winning it all but they got better defensively and saved money while at it.

@mjtrace8391 Khris is 6"7, Holiday is 6"4, Dame is 6"2. Yes, we lose Holiday's defense. But I rather keep a 6"7 great shooter in Middleton over losing him and having 2 smaller guards. People are sleeping on all the young players the Bucks drafted or added for player development. People keep sleeping on Horst, dude finds ways to get players to keep Bucks in the favorite discussions. I hate losing Holiday but he has a player option and talked about retiring. The Bucks are giving Dame his big chance over a lesser chance in Miami.

I see a lot more pick and pops being established on the Bucks offense. It is kind of similar to how Clyde Drexler was brought to Houston to be paired up with Hakeem. The Rockets already had great 3 point shooters such as Kenny Smith, Sam Cassell, Vernon Maxwell, Mario Elie, and Robert Horry. The Bucks already have great 3 point shooters such as Brook Lopez (37.4%), Bobby Portis (37.0%), Malik Beasley (35.7%), Jae Crowder (43.6%), and Khris Middleton will be a better 3 point shooter this season.

Terrible example. Hakeem has pull underneath the basket. Gianni’s relies on strength and momentum. He doesn’t have the post moves. The rockets were an inside out team. Hakeem looks for chances and draws defense, and passes out when there are openings. This bucks team, dame will be drawing defenses to get openings for Gianni’s to cut and attack. Outside in. Terrible example.

The Bucks will run a different system this season so I don't expect them to sell out to defend the paint and leaving shooters open. Although they definitely could still do it with Giannis and Lopez still defending the rim. I just don't see how you can defend the Bucks now unless they have an off night.

If it was me I’d start dame, Middleton, Gianni’s, Portis, Lopez. That lineup is virtually unplayable because the size of that lineup is insane so they’re gonna dominate the paint/rebounds and dame is free to do what he does. Scary lineup for sure if they’re healthy

Yeah, no. Dame is the best pairing. He actually makes shots and closes when it counts, and we're talking about a potential championship team here. Give me Dame with the ball and the last shot in any scenario, at any time over Steph. Go look at the numbers if you doubt. He's the perfect pair for Giannis. Bucks killed it here.

Dame is 33. I think he can play until 36-37, if he wanted to in a healthy state. This works out for Dame. Going from one small market team to another with the potential to win a chip. However, I think it is now or never for Dame Time. I want to see him win one with the Bucks within the next two years.
