Enjoyed the stream but not sure how I felt about a chilled relaxed Damian talking about what he has achieved rather than a over tired stressed Damian trying to paint to an impossible deadline but somehow managing it thanks to the help of a shed and an audio book but I guess it makes a nice change of pace
Sorry for the disappointment. Hobby VLOG #15 has •massive spoilers* a chilled out Damian not quite managing his Hobby Goals which should be more to your liking. However, Hobby VLOG #16, which began today, is what you're really after: sheds, late nights, freezing temperatures, impossible deadlines, it's got it all and - as of right now - I don't know how it ends... I like the idea of a spreadsheet tracking my model completion progress throughout the year and am totally going to steal it to help power through my own backlog

Excellent Vlog Damian, thanks for sharing....These videos are excellent motivation for all of us to try to keep up with you in your efforts to clear your backlog.....I think BSIME has directly led to me painting over 150 models from my collection over the last couple years that otherwise would likely still be sitting in a box or primed and sitting on a shelf waiting for their turn... Thanks as always and looking forward to the next one - and now off to the shed with you ! lol

Massive congrats on the 150 models - that's awesome and it's incredibly humbling to heat that our silly little project is genuinely affecting people's painting habits and rescuing models from the backlog, kinda makes it all worthwhile! I'm now at 167 models that have only been painted because of the streams so I know how good it feels! Fantastic sir! Great video as normal you really make me want to get all my models out and count them up and set myself some hobby goals. As I write this I am a few minutes out from watching the latest bsime stream and I am ready to rumble got the paints out kettle on models on the desk. Again mate thank you for making these great hobby vlogs really inspired to clear my back log next year😀. Awwwww that's awesome dude, it's always really great to hear that the streams have got rewatch value :-) Thanks for the kind words, there's been a really great reaction to the Hobby VLOGs since I brought them back this year which really encourages me to keep going with them. You should defo give the backlog counting and clearing thing a go, I found that it really really helps and has made me enjoy my hobbying more. Kinda feels like I'm back in control somehow and when you can see the unpainted stuff going down, however slowly, it's a really encouraging sign :-) And please don't apologise for the Secret Santa, I absolutely loved the package and all the personal touches and the models were all very gratefully received - it's been great getting the Vets done at last and the first batch of Knights is on the schedule for Jan or Feb, this year's Secret Santa will have a lot to live up to! :-) Damian

Such a nice content to watch! This year I am trying to finish my Minas Tirith army, that startet with last years Secret Santa. Well I will fail that, but I was able to get startet with Beregond and 6 citadel guard while listening to your VLOG!

Always enjoy seeing your updates. Good luck with maintaining those sorts of numbers for the remaining 7ish weeks of the year. I always try and do a similar thing; paint/get rid of more than I buy and paint more than last year. Currently making good progress; 185 painted, 175 bought and 9 given away putting me on +19 and I'm also only 5 models behind last year's total of 190 (and 15 behind my record of 200).

My numbers were looking pretty good for the year so far having painted 72 models and only bought about 50. But then I cracked and pre-ordered the Osgiliath box AND the Isengard Battle Host! No chance of painting more than purchasing this year now.
Ha, yeah those will tip you over the edge for sure! I think my Osgiliath box is turning up tomorrow (exciting times!) but that won't damage my chances too much as I'm getting rid of the Morannons and Minas Tirith warriors so it'll only add about 18 models to my backlog! 72 painted for the year so far is really good though dude - you should be proud! :-) Damian

Great video - your Minas Tirith collection seems to be inadvertantly drifting towards the army composition for the Osgiliath scenario from Quest of the Ringbearer (just need 12 Rangers and the other four Ranger heroes - assuming you have a Frodo, Sam, and Smeagol lying around). Something to think about the next time you just need to paint something. :-)
@@SonsOfGondor1 Ha, that Tauriel model would be a really good choice - I do have something special and very 'me' in mind for the model to mark passing 1000 and it involves taking a model all the way from unassembled and forgotten in the backlog to the finished product rather than finishing a half painted one but we'll just have to see. Hopefully I'll find the time to mark what is a really cool milestone around March/April next year :-)

It's a really fun process watching the Minas Tirith army unfold! it's funny you mention the Osgiliath force, as I type this, my Osgiliath starter set is due to arrive tomorrow and I'll definitely be working on the rangers from that box early next year to help finally get my BSIME Gondor army ready for some games. I've got lots of versions of Sam, Frodo and Gollum painted but I rarely need much excuse to paint new versions of the cool Heroes! :-) Damian
I feel like i've been psycho-analysed, first you said some people really want to know the numbers, then you end by saying some viewers really like to see you suffer in a wet and cold shed. Guilty as charged. If only you showed a box of BNIB miniatures being emptied to join the queue soon and then another box of minis that you are never going to paint this side of 2025 going into a cupboard, then all my guilty viewing pleasures will be fullfilled hahahaha
It’s mad how much I enjoy a man talking at great length about how many toy soldiers he’s painted and not painted and bought. Another good vlog! I’ll catch up eventually!
