When it comes to outside the comics, they both have different strengths. its ok if you like one or the other but its not cool to put one company down to lift up another*

@Sergio Balaguera they can do his character better than that tho. His entire character development is him learning about the world outside the one he was raised in. Your point would be the same as the writers' reasoning as to why they're not developing him

@Sergio Balaguera the animated works overcompensate his character too. Just because he was raised as an assassin doesn't mean he can swim farther than humanly possible or beat an adult man who was probably twice or thrice his weight class. They don't do him Justice either way. Only times I found Damian likable was when he was interacting with Dick, Starfire, or Raven and that's because he has _character_ This frustrates me a lot since he had the potential of being the absolute best superhero despite his bratty attitude and they're fudging up everything

Ah, the Damian Reset Button by some writers for not able to understand the complexity of Damian on his character development. I know some writer there who only knows Damian by his Supersons appearance. Then some writers forgetting that he is Vegan after rescuing a cow (later becomes Bat-cow).

Chinyere Ugwu Dick didn’t want to become Batman he probably did in the beginning but he he changed his mind later. because of how dark and alone Bruce was because he was either working on Wayne tech or in the Batcave trying to fight crime which consumed his time and all that time just working and fighting it caused him to become a little bitter,Dark and just immersed and sadness. Dick saw the effect of fighting crime and training constantly to fight bad guys on Bruce. He was afraid that if he dawned the cowl he would end up like him and that’s not what Dick wants. So because of that he became his own superhero and he wanted to have life besides crime fighting. And I’m not writing out Batman to be a loner with no feelings he has a heart underneath all that trauma like the time on justice league where Ace was going to die and he had a choice to kill her with Cadmus equipment but he didn’t he decided to sit with her and hold her hand till she sadly passed. It was one of the most touching scenes I’ve ever seen.

I don't think every Robin can become Batman and as of now only Damian feels like he's made for it. Dick has worked hard to be his own person. He is Nightwing Jason too has his own path and his way of doing things Tim honestly lacks the angst and brooding deposition that comes with the cowl xP. Also Robin fits him better as a persona Damian feels like the only one with potential. Now if only they stoped resetting his character so they can postpone it and keep him young for longer!

Resetting his character at the beginning of every arc is quite annoying sometimes I still like him kicking his whole team's @sses though lol

Yeah it's frustrating Every arc and reset. An arc without character development feels empty so they give it to us but then they want to halt age and character progression as much as possible (to milk the character) so reset it is. It's such a pity cuz Damian has so much potential to be incredible. I feel like when it is time he'll be the one to take on the mantel. He doesn't feel like a Robin and it wouldn't feel right to just take off and make his own name like Dick, he feels like a batman in the making but of course the writers would be scared to actually do it so the try to delay by keeping him young and dicksly immature as much as possible (while at the same time giving us char dev.) = resets

@@passerbytanuki2456 It's the same reason Joker War sucks. When the entire point of the story is to change a status quo everyone already knows will be restored by the end of the story, the entire thing becomes a great big ball of fucking pointless.

@@passerbytanuki2456 It is just never gonna happen in the main story line. Bruce will always be batman to the readers and dc most likely will be dead within the next 50 years if not sooner (at least producing comics). I just don't see this ever going anywhere. The concept of Bruce having a son and taking over can be traced all the way back to the silver age. The closest will will ever get to a conclusive version with a different batman is batman beyond and that is over and done with now.

I think it would be a cold dynamic. While I’m not a fan of the show personally, I did find Bruce and Terry’s relationship to be the most entertaining aspect. I think that damian would probably have a less high-tech suit than terry because if Damian had the beyond suit there would just be no stopping him.

There’s moments in continuity where he seems human. Mainly in supersons and his interactions with Dick Grayson, but other than that they write him as an insufferable prick

You should try reading the Batman and Robin New 52 series by Peter Tomasi, that's the series that made me love him as a character.

The reason I like Damian now is because of his character development so I’m hoping he redeems himself in a main story , he’s not really a prick anywhere else.

Crick1952 in the comics he showed up while Tim was robin and acted entitled demanding that he becomes Robin. He also demanded being the Teen Titans leader. He didn’t really respect anyone and was really annoying. All of the children superheros at the time didn’t like him.
