Why do you superhero movies and comics fans want every hero to be morally good and nice all the time? Why is there always an “other side” ? Why do you want every character to be respectable?
Darkseid personally held the funeral for Wonder Woman when he killed her, he’s evil but he’s not a monster. He holds a lot of respect for heroic acts, as he sees himself as the hero. He just understands that he’s one of the only ones who sees it that way. Thanos tried to save the universe by reducing the population. Darkseid is trying to save the multiverse by getting rid of free will and forcing everyone to work together towards a common goal.
I mean to be fair, as much as darkseid doesn't like batman, he still has respect for him as a foe, which has been stated, so not hard to imagine him giving Bruce that moment, plus it'd bring out the less restraint version of him and make things more exciting for Darkseid

I fully recommend watching all the movies for it, really makes this one feel good. I don't have the exact list on me, but you can probably Google it easy (Also, all of them are piratable if needed)
His entire batman persona is legit based on it somewhat. The reason he chose bats was because it's the thing that scared him most. Untill he lost his parents and found that death of a loved one is far more scary.
This moment when I first watched it made me tear up a little. And I didn't expect it to come from someone like Damian, who's annoying in the comics. (I mean the animated movies are no different but still) They made a great job building up his character development in this animated movie universe.

When Damian said Justice Not Vengeance I really felt that. It was like Damian was trying to keep his father in the good way even after his own death. I just have seen some movies of Batman but I think is the first time I see him crying.

When have you seen any league members including supergirl, wonder woman and shazam who are basically gods see an omega beam coming to them and they are just like yeah I can tank that. In the newest batman movie its more based off the year one storyline where he's back on gotham and just starting out but it's about 2 years into him becoming batman before he learned the kind of impact he has like in the first issues he was killing people left and right and using guns till the writers had to retconn that

It's not just the first time Damian has shown is emotional side...even in "bad blood" you can clearly see how Damian was so concerned about his father...in "teen titans Judas contract" you can see he was telling nightwing somthing is off with her... sounding like she is a bad person....but later on he asked terra if there is something... Damian told terra...that she can share it with him....🙃 He might act like a brat...but he is not one of them... "Damian is a kind and generous soul"

Despite a rocky relationship, Bruce truly did care for his son. And I’m glad that this series taught Damian humanity rather than having him stay in his ways. And this development was for the very best
I love that it was Dick who intervened for Damian’s sake in each of those memories, cooling down the hot-headed Waynes protecting Damian from Bruce’s snap judgement and Damian from himself before his own hot head made him take it too far. He was the best big brother in the world and the person Damian actually respects the most.
