Fandom: Oh Dick is the nicest one out of all of the batfam- Dick Grayson in Batman Hush, being an absolute chaotic being: I have set a building on fire with the purpose of getting rid of the smugglers drugs and it happened to explode
This man started out as Robin because he was 9 years old and wanted to kill a man, he has been an agent of chaos since the day he was born and idk how DC keeps forgetting it 😂
I lost it at the scene in Batman vs. Robin where Dick started to tell Damien to go screw himself but was quickly admonished by Alfred, lol. But to be fair, Damian did deserve that. I'm just happy writers for DC have had him (mostly) grow out of the entitled, insufferable little buttmunch phase he was in when we first met him.
They really do be nerfing him on all levels, huh? Like Nightwing is literally immune to fear toxin both pre52 And post 52... DC, why are you like this... Nightwing is one of your most beloved characters!!!
@cosmicriptid Pre52, due to exposure at a young age and all the inoculations he's gained immunity from it and at most it makes him disoriented but he can still fight like a badass and absolutely trounces Jason when Red Hood sprays him with fear toxin. Post52, he's literally born like that. He's fearless in a way no one else is, the fear toxin has never worked on him and Scarecrow absolutely can't stand him for it. In fact when Scarecrow is hit with fear toxin his hallucination takes on the form of a fucked up Robin. Scarecrow describes Robin/Nightwing as the "boy without fear" if I'm remembering correctly. Something along those lines. So the fact that DC can't even do basic research over literally one of its longest running, most experienced, and universally loved characters.... is well. DC in a nutshell, I guess.
Welcome to the suffering of aqualad fans in teen titans. Seriously, it's like as soon as speedy and aqualad first fought? They NEEDED TO KNEECAP HIM WORSE THAN IN RED HOOD!
@GingeryGinger I don't see the point in that tbh. It's an established canon. The only effect he should feel is disorientation pre52, and that makes sense because he's built a tolerance to it, so while the fear/hallucinations no longer effect him, there's still some side effects vs nothing post52. Because. Well, it's literally never worked on him. It's a pretty cool interpretation, honestly. One of the only things I like about the post52 comics. When writers deliberately break canon I wish they'd give an explanation, and one that actually makes sense, you know? "Oh its a new variant" is such a weak excuse for the writing. Like, he's been exposed to tons of new variants, that's why his tolerance is incredible. What other reason could there be? Or post52, it's literally never worked before, why does this one? Even in Dick's most fragile state of mind fear toxin didn't work on him, so what makes this variant special? Writers never really acknowledge these things, just kinda hand wave them away. If they addressed these issues, maybe then it wouldn't be nerfing.
Mainly because he ends up being the guy that gets hit with the Worf effect most often in the DCAMU. They have Nightwing get his ass kicked way more often than he should as a means of power scaling, when the guy should consistently be on Batman’s level or at least close to it on a regular basis
@@raymondfisheriii791 yeah. It's kinda upsetting BC he's my fav character in all of DC. He never really has a good adaptation. Either he's not good at fighting, or he gets injured in some way to get him out of the way, or both. Even young justice, which portrays him better than most, still nerfs him quite a bit. Then again, in young justice, he was younger than his usual age in comics.
@@ilovebuckybarnestoomuch and at least in the last season, I did like the idea of him letting them think the team had been killed in order to regroup and strategize on how to properly beat them after having fought them once with better understanding of their capabilities and of their goals. To be fair though, I guess it says a lot about Nightwing that most adaptations tend to have to need him like they would The Flash or Superman at times.
Here me out, I love to think about how Dick started as a cheery little Robin, decided to leave and become the more intense Teen Titans Robin (teenager phase lol) and then became the Nightwing we love
"Pretty messed up that you guys have a plan for this" As if you don't have a premade list of excuses ready for your father -- the police commissioner -- for when you come home battered and bleeding after getting your ass kicked by supervillains.
I wish when this universe started, they would of put Jason, Tim, Cass and Steph. We could of had the potential of the whole Batfam on screen 😭😭😭😭. I wish they would of worked more on this universe rather than killing this universe. I mean, we even have a young Superboy🥺🥺🥺 .
Bro I feel you I want this universe back 😢😢😢😢 they had to short of screen time. Plus they had such an amazing cast for the characters. Like all the voice actors were phenomenal! I hope they can bring it back😢😢😢😢😢
I think the titans version of Nightwing got a little justice. Also i think nightwing is one of the people that remind Batman that he's Bruce and needs a life ouside batman too
DCAMU nerfed him into oblivion + is the only real Starfire Nightwing relationship we have outside the comics and they did them both so dirty. Nightwing beat Batman on occassions and here he gets beaten by Damien lmao Edit: There is also the Starfire and Nightwing Relationship non-comics in Injustice, where he gets OHKOd in the stupidest way by Damien, where Starfire is shown in the end, remembering all the Titans, sitting alone in Titans Tower eating Pizza as one after another disappears from the screen, with only her left saying she even lost Nightwing, her star-crossed soul mate. DC really doesn't like Nightwing outside the comics and even sometimes in the comics, if he has a life outside the Batfamily
I agree with you about Nightwing losing to Damian and they made him dirty but If Batman and Nightwing fought 10 times, Nightwing would win 3 times and Batman would win 7, so Dick getting defeated makes sense for someone like Batman who is on the god level, Your only concern is for Nightwing to defeat Batman, because Batman is the one who set the power standard for everything and made it impossible to reach. This is the real level of Nightwing, not what they exaggerated in the comics, and when DC realized their mistake and knew that Batman could not compete with him, they wrote Slade's line saying that Nightwing is overrated. I forgot the name of the movie, but you can be sure.
Nightwing is great, although the one thing I really don’t understand about this version of him compared the rest of the DCAMU movies he’s in is that, why does he have Blue eyes in Batman: Hush but all previous movies with him in such as Son of Batman, Batman VS Robin, Batman: Bad Blood, Teen Titans VS Justice League & Teen Titans: Judas Contract, Dick has brown eyes?
Totally agree! I mean they ended it with a flashpoint thus resetting the whole timeline and effectively undoing everything. Like, what was the point of all that if your jus gonna I do it!?
@@BirthweenBoiThat’s a speaking look. It says, “I have heard you saying words about my date. I am unsure why you feel the need to say so many words about my date. I do not feel the need to say words back to you in reply.” Or, alternatively translated: “I can tell you are advocating for me to tell this woman my secret. I have just thanked Alfred for his contribution to my getting ready for my date. I do not feel the need to thank you because I do not consider your unsolicited suggestion a valuable contribution.” 😂
I think he's adopted by batman his adopted father and adopted elder brother of Jason Todd tim drake and damian and they known as the wayne brothers and nightwing's full name is Richard John "dick" Grayson wayne and I think he's born in 1986 and batman adopted him by his his age might be 0 in about 1 week when batman was 14
Honestly, if you told me Dick does flips on bar that's on a tiny platform over the abyss of the Batcave just to pass the time while waiting on Bruce, I wouldn't even need to see this movie to believe you.
Unpopular Opinion but I like night wings Character regardless of the universe. Even though at some point he seems weaker and other universes. I think it does him what he supposed to be for Batman emotional persons( i.e what if Batman's favorite son doesn't wanna be batman). I always love his character though, I don't like it when they go in the direction of him and Barbara being together or other people other than him and starfire. I see why they happened in each universe. I feel that he's always a good contrast to how they're trying to tell the story with Batman, even if it does kinda nerf his character at times *Long story shirt nightwing, despite not being on the same level as this all the time. Does what he supposed to as a character when he's not*
Somehow, Nightwing looks older than Batman xDD Also, I just saw a Teen Wolf video with Stiles-Thumbnail in my recs and I think he would make a very good mid-twenties nightwing :D
I love that they're so used to being shot at that they're having a casual chat in the Batmobile with bullets bouncing off. And Nightwing is acting like they're at a diner.
