The truth is that I had some many years without listening to such a beatiful voice. I don't believe Damien hasn't been a worldwide triumph up to now. I need more music from him. I will listen to it every day from now on.
He is so freaking humble!!! Most artists would have a cocky attitude by now, but he does not. So much emotion and truth behind his voice! OMG so passionate! He needs to win!
I've been listening to this gentleman and I dont care! How many ballets he sing, cuz the man can sing! Thats what this show is all about.finding thee best voice and we all are listening to it.you really have to just be honest with yourself and admit he has strong vocals and vote the obvious way! Not offten does a singer comes along with moving vocals like his. if you you brought his album and liked only one song you bet you have gotten your money's worth! So ppl plz don't let what ever is lacking in your mind. allow you not to give this man what he rightful deserves. which is! a win,win vote!
you can listen to sad song with any artist but this guy makes me cry every song i can say hes probably the best voice for me that has ever been on the voice ever
+1. His performances come from the heart that knows different pains so it's natural there would be a tear-jerker in there somewhere. The one that made me well up the most tho was his audition number. That was awesome
The road is long With many a winding turn That leads us to who knows where Who knows where But I'm strong Strong enough to carry him He ain't heavy, he's my brother So on we go His welfare is of my concern No burden is he to bear We'll get there For I know He would not encumber me He ain't heavy, he's my brother If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another It's a long, long road From which there is no return While we're on the way to there Why not share And the load Doesn't weigh me down at all He ain't heavy he's my brother He's my brother He ain't heavy, he's my brother, he ain't heavy
I know I haven't come across this guy before today, bummer I know, but there we are... It's tough when people are disparaging and telling you you couldn't do it. Some have said negative things to me over the years in different areas of my life, but I know deep down what I can and can't do just as you did deep down, so screw the haters! You stuck with it, Damien, and you persevered. I love a broad range of music myself and singing, and I just get lost in it, as I'm sure you do. But this is not just about Damien being the best singer of the season, but I think that VERSION of that classic song is by far the best I've ever heard! Forget that the Hollies version was strong and powerful, Damien's version rules! I didn't know Donny Hathaway did that song too (I youtubed him too) but before today, I always wondered how this song would sound from a southern, gospel, Motown angle, and Damien really took me to church, he took me to the clouds above, and back again! Both his audition along with this performance - really brought tears to my eyes he is that good!
he is just awesome! The only thing he needs to learn is turn the mic away from him when he takes a breath cuz he sounds like he's gasping....great job!
that year was a really good year at the Voice with Gwen, Pharell and the "vets", the artists were amazing, I was disappointed that Mat did win but other than that it was good entertainment
