Lisa Harmon Because he did not sign with Sony or a big label he was loyal to his own management team and their label which was not massive. He was unable to work and do songs with the top top artists due to non financial backing that some one like Sony should give you.

It was one of the last things he said to me before he died, he wanted to record a song in the studio and one of his favourite songs was ‘He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother’ unfortunately he didn’t get the chance so I did for him after he passed away. @@Beautwentyoneapril My heart breaks for you and many who have lost loved ones due to the many reasons why people become homeless. Myself included, I lived in a van for two years all to aware of how close I was to sleeping in a bush. At one point I started looking at different areas of safety in "bushes" I can not totally explain how terrifying that is. My car was breaking down and ?? well thank god it was fixed. But how fast the mind plays games and tricks on oneself tell you how screwed up you are. Luckily I had many tools to lean on mentally. I know how extremely fortunate I am. The mind filled with fear and doubt can do such lasting damage. I wish I could bottle how I got through it all and give it away. this all happened during the '08' economy crash. Back to the song. I have always loved this song, it speaks of so many heart breaking scenarios. And so many of these scenarios can be fixed if we could get over the greed and fear factors. The line of "If I'm laden at all , I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another (put a bunch of hearts here please) this lines get me the most, because of the truth.
