Damien Rice 2014 10 27 Carré, Amsterdam, The Netherlands 

He turned down a six album record deal with his former band because his creativity was compromised. Then went to Tuscany to be a farmer and he went busking around Europe. After a few years he went back to his country to record 1 song. That's what it takes to write great, timeless songs. Ferment it with isolation, rub with blood, sweat and tears, sprinkle it with heart break, dose it with life experience and then you get a Damien Rice song.

Oh wow. It's nearly a religious experience for me. Never in my entire life have I seen something so beautiful, complete and raw. I do not think there's a musician out there these days that can be in any way compared to Damien Rice. He himself is pure music.

This guy is just incredible. No words can describe it.

That first song, 'The Blower's Daughter', is desperation set to music. He cried, I cried--- Tragically beautiful. And at 13:40, 'Colour Me In', I just want to hug this guy's pain away. I'm not even kidding. So heartfelt.

The sound quality on this concert is amazing!

Good god his performance of My Favourite Faded Fantasy was astounding.

it hurts me so much to see him perform I remember with anyone else but her, cause, no offense, whoever the girls are, they sing it well, but it just is not real, and while they sing and he plays he's so absent in his thoughts, and when he joins singing, he's so quiet, almost silent, still in his thoughts, and slowly begins to escalate in the power he used to have when he performed it the first times.. and in the end, he doesn't want it to end, he keeps on improvising some jam, but there's simply nobody to join him.. it's pretty sad, it's awesome in this way still, but I feel like it's not what it used to mean to him
