Damien Rice's take on the classic by Leonard Cohen. Quite alot of recordings of this on RU-vid, but This is good quality. Check out my page for more rare songs uk.ru-vid.com
Good quality isn't about the volume. It's about what you can hear. In that respect its crystal clear, and at about the right pitch and volume to catch the fragility and sadness of this song.
I'm looking for a version of this song and i don't know who sang it but it was SOOO moving and the vocals so powerful, his voice was kind of like this but he sang it more powerfully & louder & you could hear all the subtle imperfections of his voice and i just want to hear it and can't find it...is there a studio version of this song by this guy it might be?
@sudfuty5 if its live, it was recorded with a cell phone or an old fashioned tape recorder. it sounds awful. check out the live performance of damien playing this song at leonard cohen's rock n roll hall of fame induction ceremony. THAT is what live performances sound like. this sounds terrible.
@sudfuty5 LOL it sounds live? no it doesnt. it sounds like someone set thier microphone next to thier computer speakers, hit play, then hit record. sounds awful.
@sudfuty5 search damien rice hallelujah - sommerfest 2010. OR his performance at the rock and roll hall of fame. thats live music. this is lame. hear the echoing, the screeching? you think damien played a live show with that shitty of equipment? i seriously doubt it. this is an issue with the recording device, not simply a "live" version.
