Accidental Babies has to be one of the most gut wrenching songs ever written, and this version with the additional arrangement at the end is just sublime.
I love Damien and Lisa when they perform together. However, I did not think that this was their best performance of these particular songs. You can tell that they are holding back a little. I really love the performances where they completely let loose. Check out Damien's version of 9 Crimes Live from the Basement and you'll see the difference that I'm talking about- you can really feel the raw emotions in that version.
Hey , I know I'm a little late in replying but what you're saying maybe true but being a musician myself i can tell you that all the versions shouldn't be the same and they shouldn't be sharing the same energy. That's the reason we listen to the same song in so many different settings. What gives the song it's feel is the things that the artist is feeling that day and all the thoughts that are on his mind while playing his or her music. All these different versions have their own place , there is no need to compare.Just My Opinion.
Poetry is precious and should never be messed with for the sake of broadcasting restrictions! If I am allowed to write the words 'Fuck-You' then why is Damien not allowed to sing it?
damien doesn't make the impression that he would come back to play again... i don't think he liked the interuption at the very end of this beautiful, heartfelt version of accidental babys.
This is a live version but is only Damien on the Piano. The audience laughs at 'accidental babies' though but it's still excellent: /watch?v=ci1TMpGXCcs
Sad campers, but great musicians. apparently their friendship had gone really stale by this point and soon after they parted ways. Love them both nonetheless.
FUCK YOU was the expression written to translate his feelings(when written) so to cut it out damages the experience of that song somewhat! Let me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Fuck Yooooooooou" ruined a beautiful rendition of Rootless Tree & if that wasn't the radio station's fault, the voice-over ruining the end of Accidental Baby appears to be.
