Damien Rice played a surprise show at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, CA on Oct 7, 2012 Hotel Cafe is an intimate venue that holds approximately 180 people. A rare treat to see Damien there.
Ah Damien Damien Damien... I found out about you by chance! Some family friends saw your concert in Europe and they brought your CD all the way back to Brazil! They played it in their car and I fell in love. Lucky me!
Yep! He has the few (many) that he's done publicly a few times but not released and there are apparently HUNDREDS that go unreleased even if he knows they are very good. The metric for 'My Favourite Faded.." was that those were the songs he personally liked to play and listen to at the time.
How lucky those who happened to be in the right place at the right time to see him in such an intimate setting. So So lucky. . .180 lucky fans. . .It's nice to hear him once again. Thank you Damien and who ever posted this video. :)
montopunk I've been playing guitar for 10 years. The opening for example, the way he mutes it, the part in which he says "let it go", with the finger picking... it's amazing. Dont be condescending baselessly. WIth saying what you're saying, you sound musically-ignorant.
Well, surely there's time to deal another hand You can turn off the lights if you need. I'm curious to know if we could still dance With that elaborate pain in our knees And surely there's a will to cut off these ropes That bound us like prisoners between The curious ghosts and the fearless hopes We might have to get close to cut free And no one need know No one need know No one need know but me Surely you know the hand's not at fault And the beast is not always best tamed. We both learned so young how to spill too much salt Through the wounds of this elaborate game And no one need know No one need know No one need know but me What have we got to lose if We have nothing at all? Nothing at all. You hold onto your bruises Way past the fall. Don't get off the train I'm not here to complain I wouldn't change you at all There's too much to learn But I think it's your turn So when you're ready You can come over slow We'll dance 'til we don't And no one need know but me. Oh, come over slow We'll watch it unfold And no one need know but me No, no, no, no, no No one need know but me No one need know No one need know No one need know but me So come over slow Come over slow And no one need know but me. Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go Let it go, let it go, let it go. Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go Let it go, let it go, let it go. Let it go, let it go, let it go Let it go
not a big deal, shut your eyes once and then he will appear like chewbacca again (I bet that in his next appearances he will be te typical ball of hair). I love Damien
