It's Part TWO of #Damned25... my year-long PERIOD MODELS ONLY playthrough of every Warband in Games Workshop's GRIMDARK Classic... Mordheim. That's right... I'm gonna smoke the whole pack on this one.

I'm kicking off the series with Chase and his Undead warband! I've painted up the original 10 model Warband from the starter set along with ALL the terrain that also came in the box. How will my Human Mercenaries do? Historically... not well. Let's jump in.

Mordheim, or how I got into playing with 28mm miniatures. I owe this game system so much. My first 'war band' was a shameless attempt to recreate the mercenary unit under Michael Caine's 'Captain' that featured in the film 'The Last Valley'. Thanks guys for this nostalgic return to a time where gaming was so much simpler.

That first move, the imagined unnatural speed and grace of a vampire running through the ruins, yet we instead see preternatural agility leading them face-first into a wall - no-one has a good day in Mordheim.

6:15 "It's not ass-tarts, it's astartes!" Had to pause the video here I was laughing so hard. I remember growing up and I had a friend who would pronounce 'scimitar' as 'shmuckter' and now I can never read 'scimitar' without thinking of it.

6:26 The "Ass-tarts" are a rightfully feared Slaanesh Chaos Marine Warband. The "Mule" minis is great. He's got a real 1970s' glam rock hair-do going on. The way that Da Mounay spent most of the fight lurking makes me imagine him as Laszlo Cravensworth from What We Do In The Shadows. I wonder if "The Terror" will turn up in Grim Dark Media as a book or "film".

The dire wolves can’t run, but they can charge. And charge is double move, so early in the game the wolf could have made an 18” charge, right? Or have I been playing this wrong! 😬😮 Loving this series!

Buy your new Marksman hero a blunderbuss! That way he can get the shot off up close-ish (he's only BS 3 so it's not like you need him to be a sniper) and then charge in kick butt with his 2 Attacks! A perfect second-wave/counter charge fighter!

The game is sentient and hunting you, its evolved .. the signs of a derangement? The gamer convinced it's got it in for him. And we thought it was only warband members that took insanity. Really enjoying the series, even with never having played Mordheim. Makes me excited for my group's next Relicblade campaign. Sean's campaign rules definitely owe a debt of gratitude to Mordheim.

Our play group just finished up a 6 week Mordheim campaign, and one of my Sisters Superiors got hit with that same Stupidity injury mid-campaign and spent the remaining games being useless and drooling. Hilarious AND debilitating!

Hoorah for Mordhiem! As a strictly sci-fi player in my youth, mordheim was the only fantasy game from GW that got me excited. Played just a few demo games in the store, but it got me to buy a bunch of reaper and ralpartha pewtys.

I hope you don't edit the cleanup phase so tightly next time, finding out the fate of all the characters is the most cathartic part! Otherwise, great game.

Mordheim SHOULD have a malevolent essence. If there is ever a 2nd ed, I want what they did with X Com 2: In aggregate, of all the players that have ever touched the game, the lose and death has advanced the timeline into a future were things are worse. The darkest timeline. Like a minor Chaos god is created around Mordheim that actively fucks with players via events and conditions.

Hey loveing the videos!. I do feel your Middenheim warband are at a disadvantage on the smsller board as your not getting your ranged attacks in. On a bigger 4x4 board you might have had s stronger start? Keep them comming!

I like the Rulebook stuff, it´s great.. Just have to ask anyways.. As I usually felt the first Town Cryer warbands, those from the WD part of it.. ALMOST feel the same to me.. WHat are the chances we will see some Stunties and orcs & Goblins for example. Later this year? ;) Totally cool if we don´t but I still have to ask (O&Gs being my favs) Love this though. the stuff in the rulebook are real nice and feel good facing each other. Nice limit.

I don´t.. Like Mordheim on anything but 20mm abses - well, Orcs on 24 etc.. But round? I don´t use it myself.. It is not the same feel as I had back then, ruins it.. ;) Of course I face it and don´t care about others.. But my own.. No.

Do not all critical hits cause 2 wounds? I see you do a single wound with +2 on injury table when its a crit with 5-6. I think it should be two wounds with +2.
