"Oops, did I say that out loud?" Damon knows exactly what he just did. Couldn't help throwing that in. I think one of the reasons Damon didn't realize something was wrong with Elena (sirebond) because he was enjoying being there for Elena, being needed, seeing her let go in a way her human self would never have allowed. And can we just think for a moment about the blood drinking? Wish they'd integrated that more into the series, it was a huge thing in the books and they could have had some fun with it.
He knew, but he didn't intend it. Stefan pushing made him slip up lol. Better with Damon because he doesn't want her to be ashamed of what she is... for the same reason he told Rose, "You went on a murderous rampage. It happens."
@@anubhavdassharma1854 Very true. I wish they'd kept some things like that in the show though. They had to drop a lot of fun and interesting things that I think could have been used further down the line, but I get the CW's budget issues early on. I'm thinking of the Vampire Blood Sex, Running Water, Animal Familiars, etc. We had Damon's familiar crow in season one and then mysteriously the whole thing stopped. would have loved to see Katherine's White Owl and Tiger. And Klaus being limited by running water would have been fun, especially with how we played with the importance of that bridge several times.
@@TerraUmbraVampWriter I think that would be too much. TvD is my favorite interpretation of vampires because it's a lot more believable for characters to have strength increasing with age or simple mind compulsion than to have them stopped by running water or mirrors or garlic or whatever holy. I would have loved to see more telepathy though.
Damon doesn't care where she gets her blood supply so long as she isn't starving, but he prefers her drinking human blood because it has its obvious advantages. She'd be weak on animal blood just as Stefan is. Had he known she was sired, he'd have gotten her to drink from blood bags sooner rather than later. Stefan should be promoting blood bags instead of animal blood for the same reason. If she's gonna be facing a vampire hunter, best she be drinking human blood. The entire reason Stefan forces his animal diet on everyone else is because he's an addict struggling with temptation. Like when Lexi drank in front of him, he had to distance himself. They shouldn't have to drink animal blood just because he has a problem with human blood. He needs to get over himself, and he's the one determined to get his way. He doesn't like Elena being a vampire. He wants her to be as human-like as he is.
Seriously though. I can just picture Elena trying to compel April on an animal diet. Stefan needed Damon to compel Jeremy in the first season because he failed compelling Vicki. Strength is the #1 reason to feed on humans, even if it comes from a blood bag.
Stefan irked me so much here. He says Damon is determined to have his way, but what do you call what he is doing? He basically guilts her into starting out with animal blood when every other vampire has said how gross it is. Even Lexi couldn't last on it and she seems to be the best vampire to me. Idk, Stefan was too annoying after she turned, he coddled her and projected his own personal experiences way too much. I wish Lexi didn't die, she was a good example of a well balanced vampire.
Yeah I started to not like Stefan in season 3. When he intentionally put Elena in danger to get what he wanted is when I lost all respect. I started to in season 2 honestly. Damon is the reason she was alive past season 1 really
Stefan hates what he is, so he's the wrong person to help Elena embrace her vampirism. That's why Damon says what he does at Alaric's grave. It's a direct slam against Stefan, who pretends that if he trains Elena just right, she won't kill as vampires do. He actually believes he can stop her from being a vampire even though she is a vampire. He handles Elena with kid gloves.
I get irritated with Stefan pushing Damon to set her free. Constantly insisting it's the sire bond, yet the witch in New Orleans said it only works if she had feelings for him before she turned. Human feelings....so why does he need to set her free? Caroline aggravates me too. Always interjecting herself between them, because she hates Damon. Of course, once she slept with Klaus those days were done. I can see the attraction to him. The accents sells it, but I'm a Damon girl. His character has got to be one of the sexiest I've ever seen! Those eyes with the sarcasm!
God, you're so right! When I watched these episodes Stefan and Caroline where the most annoying characters for me. All that they were doing here is messing with Damon and Elena's feelings for each other. And I still can't understand, why everyone keeps ignoring the reason of the sire bond. I'm just a Damon girl too. And at these episodes as much I was happy for Delena, as much I was annoyed by Stefan and Caroline
@@albinae.9614 Stefan was so sanctimonious it irritated the crap out of me. Then Caroline with her comment about he and Elena being "epic!" Right, so now she is choosing who Elena's first love really is based on HER personal feelings? How the hell does she know what anyone really feels? She lived in this fairy tail world. Damon may have been an ass at times, especially in the first few seasons, but he loved her the minute he first saw her on that road. Granted, she looked like Katherine, but you could see he was so drawn to her. He could of slaughtered her seeing that's what he was doing out there. Watching Damon go from a killer with no regard for his victims to falling so hard for a girl, who is human, he would give up his life was one of the best character arc in the show, in my opinion. Bonus, so fricken hot! I've got a Pinterest board with him plastered all over it. It aches just to look at him. So many thoughts.. Lol.
@@scorpio-mh1np Yeah...That's one of reasons why I wanted Caroline to end up with Klaus. He was that "Bad guy", who could give her passion, rich, interesting life (She always wanted it), Klaus was right, when he said that life in this little town will be never enough for her. And I was hoping, that if she would get together with Klaus, she would've understand Elena's love for Damon. She just never felt a REAL love, so she lived in a fairy tale, that she created. Even her relationship with Stefan came from friendship, and not that friendship with flirt and temptation like Elena and Damon had, but friendship like Elena and Matt had. They just supported each other and that's it. And I think that it was bad decision to made them marry at the end.
Stefan has an ego, always considered himself better than Damon. He often makes comments that say as much, like this one... "She's better off without me. Sure as hell better off without you." It's his way of saying he's better than Damon. It's the same with his comment in 4x8. "Because it's impossible for her to be so blind that she doesn't see how wrong you are for her." While Stefan believes Damon is wrong for her, he doesn't believe the same of himself. That's why he fought so hard to keep Elena in season three and season four. He thought he was too good to pass up for Damon, so it had to be the sire bond. That's his ego.
Can the freaking producers tell me why the fuck they always get interrupted?! Jeremy, Bonnie, stefan, Caroline, cell phone, Silas, ripper Stefan, church bell and so many other things!! Why god why!!😭😭😭😂😂😂😂

the sirebond doesn't make sense. Damon wants her to drink from the vein, so why is she so much against it? she should be more agreeable with him if she's sired... there are A LOT of plotholes involving the stupid sirebond

I'm bothered that Stefan is so bothered at the idea of Elena drinking from blood bags. He expects her to drink animal blood like he does. Elena was leaving a voicemail for Caroline, having every intention of getting help from her, but she changed her mind when Damon called. Elena herself chose Damon to help her feed, so Damon had every reason to help her. If you ask me, Elena turned to Damon instead of Caroline because she's not in love with Caroline. She wanted to be near Damon, and she used her diet as an excuse. Same in 4x4. She could've easily turned to Caroline, but she wanted time with Damon.
I LOVE this episode ❤️ Several times, Elena goes to Damon for help, not Stefan. There's the one in the Mystic Grill bathroom too where Damon gives his own blood to Elena. Oh that scene 🔥 ❤️🔥❤️

the sire bond between two vampires is created when the new vampire (elena) had human feelings before they turned for their sire (damon) aka the vampire blood they used when they died to turn into a vampire lol i know u wrote this a year ago but just in case u don’t know
like Tyler Lockwood said in season 3 compulsion is mind control but being sired to someone is like faith, you do what they ask of you because you believe its the right thing. its kinda like the mindset of someone in a cult. you are loyal to that person.
With compulsion, there's no choice. She'd be feeding on humans if she were compelled, no different than Klaus compelling Stefan to feed on Elena. She's starving because the sire bond is like faith. She's feeding on anything but humans, and it's making her sick because she believes she should be feeding on humans. She's basically stabbing herself with a broomstick over and over again instead of feeding on humans. She can either starve herself to desiccation, or she can feed on humans, but it's her choice.
i dont like delena, but it's really sweet how he's helping her here, even though the sire bond is what made her start hating the blood 🤣 i prefer delena as friends, rather than a romantic couple. too many bedroom scenes should be for love island. not vampire diaries. plus, it doesn't sit right with me, going from stefan to damon where are the morals??
The way d*mon's having fun of this whole situation is disgusting. He really likes to be needed by elena no matter if she's suffering or not. Just look at elena's stupid blank stares, it's like she's his puppet. I know damon's a terrible brother but at least he could respect stefan and elena's relationship for once and not give his blood to elena to drink because blood sharing is something special and damon has no right to do it. He really took a lot of advantage from all that sirebond thing even though he didn't know. And then he's out there trying to make it look like it's something normal and funny... Look at stefan's face after he learned, literally all damon did was to disappoint stefan the whole time. Stefan should've beat the out of him just right there, just enough with damon's bullshit😩
Please, no one knew about the sired bond what Damon was trying to do was help her, because Elena herself asked him for help instead of asking her boyfriend for help. Damon himself tells her "everything my brother does and for you", he tries to convince her no one else can blame her for being in love
