Geez, watching this feels like a highlight reel, the guy is always in phase, always fighting at the catchpoint, such a ferocious hitter, and so competitive. And then you realize it's not a highlight reel, it's actually just all his targets! Playing across from okudah isn't easy, but this guy makes it look that way. Easily the most underrated corner in the draft.
Raiders fans!!! Don’t worry. It looks like a reach now, but he’ll win y’all over man. And these are just the targets; there are plenty other snaps of him shutting WRs down and being physical in the run game. An all-around corner that gets the job done. Y’all secondary could be something special...
I read the book Above the Line by Urban Meyer and based on that and what his program is all about and also hearing what they say about this kid and now watching his 2019 tape of how he competes even with a cast on makes me believe as a Raider Fan that Mayock is getting it Done and we might be witnessing something special brewing rite in front of us
After watching this I think he is definitely a starting corner #2 with potential to be a number 1. I was not happy when my raiders drafted him but after watching this Im cool with it. Based on his tape hes the 2nd best corner in this draft!
Yeah I literally went like wtf when the raiders drafted him. I’m like who tf is this guy and after seeing highlights and hearing a lot about him. He seems and looks like a monster. I hope he makes me eat my words when the 2020 season starts
Welcome to Raider Nation! Who ever the people that helped you decide to come back to school deserves some love! That advise and decision alone helped you and the Raiders tremendously! #RN4L
Welcome to the Las vegas Raiders you have some big shoes to fill in if you want to be the next C Wood. Our coaching staff will make sure he'll be a pro bowler we have a rich history of having good corner backs go raiders
He only allowed one touchdown per Collegiate season that's four tds. That is similar to Trayvon Mullen. Ohio also lined him up on the opposite side after the wrist injury. Because he said he'd be able to use his right arm to wrap up... welcome to the dark side Raider Nation
I worry a bit about short area explosiveness/shiftiness (re: double moves, zip routes ecc.), other than that, he was my CB3 in the class so I'm happy my Raiders drafted him.
I'm trying to feel good about the pick just like everybody else if you look at the tape he got beat more times than not the Wisconsin receiver tore him up. I really think we missed out on Kenneth Murray and Patrick Queen they were both on the board when we picked Arnett we could have gotten him later.
2 likes clown he only got beat 5 times in this whole video just sthu kid and Leander football he only allowed a 45 completion percentage, only 1 touchdown per season, and allowed the lowest passer rating in college football when in man to man shut up and be happy you just got he second best corner back in the draft
@@LouieVIsOnMe get off it Leon you're just hoping he's going to be good you don't know that. Look at the tape and shut the hell up. Who the hell are you to tell someone to shut up and the guy is not even proven yet he can be another gareon Conley. you don't know Leon
@@dinostanley7206 look at the tape? I did he actually tackles in the run game unlike any other cornback besides jeff okudah in this whole draft, played through a broken hand all year and still held down that left side of the field, and has a dog mentality that loves football the only joe burrow can match and that's exactly what gruden loves and the only reason your saying he's gareon conley is because he played for ohio state aswell which is a clown take if he was from Georgia or south Carolina or whatever program you would be all over him idiot. Now shut up idiot.
Romain, out of all these DB prospect videos of yours that I’ve watched over the past 2 weeks, this was NOT the guy I thought the Raiders would draft in the 1st round. I would’ve loved this pick if the Raiders had traded down and then drafted him, but I’m having a hard time liking at 19. He does a lot of good things, but he could’ve been flagged on at least half of those targets. Way too much grabbing. On the bright side, most of the grabbing was unnecessary because he was usually in good position. I’m hoping that means that they can coach that tendency out of him.
You have to remember he played injuired most of this season. Which in itself is insane. He's definitely able to be ciached to get rid of certain flaws. He's going to be good shutting down the number 2 guys on the other teams, while mullen handles the other side.
All these fake raider fans giving no props need to re-evaluate this young man game cuz bruh gots mad skills , I seen a few plays he lost track of his receiver but the second play he makes up for it , we got us a LESTER HAYES , all the way . Welcome to the RAIDERS BRUH.
Absolute dog competitor that is always around the ball. Technique is a mess a lot of the time and far too handsy and physical down the field. But if he can be coached up to be more of a technician, he's got the feet, hips, and mentality to be a CB1 in the league. My favorite 2nd tier guy after Okudah and Henderson
I’m 13 mins into this video and tbh he only really allowed 2 catches that were on him. Everything else he was as eeither right there and was barely off of deflecting the ball. So ion get how he was graded as a 2-3rd round pick cuz this dude looks great on tape. This isn’t even a highlight real. This is all his targets
Okay finished it so more like 5 catches he allowed. And even that number might be lower cuz some of them might just be gaps in the zone that weren’t on him.
After watching this tape I think NFL QBs are going to eat him alive idk about pick 19 for this guy hopefully he can get coached but I don’t see it in year one tho....
@jack mann problem is, in college football, a PI is only 15yds at the most... NFL it's a spot foul, could put the ball on the one yard line. Usually, pretty much the same as a touchdown, right?
