Really cool. When they said his wife went to attend community meetings on how this could best benefit the community, I mean that's MAJOR kudos right there. Can we do this for Baltimore? Bmore is just about as bad.

He's a very good man & seeing this makes me like him even more. I'm actually in a 10 day process of moving him out of his house right now, an it's BEYOND ANY EPISODE OF MTV CRIBS!!! in there but all the people who work there are very nice an the place just lets off good vibes, his son talked to me the other day and he was actually a pretty cool kid and very down to earth his wife is a very kind lady also you'd never guess they're filthy rich just because of how down to earth they're I was suprised to see how kind everyone has been & never once have they gave me a feeling that anyone of them was better/higher up then me...great man great family keep it up Dan Gilbert you're truly inspirational for me and for M.I.

The 1st thing you can do to stabilize people and help them stay in their homes - IS PAY THEM A LIVING WAGE. An economic system that allows the wealth created in the richest country in the world to get swallowed up by less and less people is corrupt and unhealthy. Right now, in 2023, three families own more wealth than the bottom half in this country. We are quickly becoming an Oligarchy where a small group of people own and control all the power in the country. Dan may be a nice person, he didn't create this system, but in a fair, healthy economic system THERE SHOULD BE NO BILLIONAIRES while half the citizens are so underpaid they could not raise $1,000 in an emergency.

I completely disagree about "listening to the community", Not having preconceptions is one thing, but "listening to the community" is itself a euphemism for following the preconceptions of self anointed community leaders who have nothing better to do with there time but tell other people how to spend their money.

Gentrification the Dan Gilbert way. Money to be made. Get rich or die trying. The man had an epiphany. Hopefully he'll show Detroit some sympathy. And not just stuff the dollars in his pocket. More money to be made for the rocket.

OMG ...WHO is Gayle's "stylist" ? She has no sense of how she presents herself. Her glasses are from the 1970's- she should be able to wear some very fashionable eyewear & she rarely looks put together - whether it is makeup, her outfits, her hair... and she is anchoring the news ??? @@TechMan1900 Even though a few buildings look a little better than they did before, most of that $500 million will "disappear," with overall conditions in Detroit continuing to deteriorate. With that in mind, he is flushing $500 million down Detoilet.
