DAN HARDY MEETS JORGE MASVIDAL FOR A CANDID CHAT AT AMERICAN TOP TEAM BEFORE HEADING OVER TO HIS NEIGHBOURHOOD FOR SOME STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING - PLUS A CHAT WITH MASVIDALS MANAGER ABE KAWA.
@@lutherblissett7873 It's because he's a real fighter like them. Been in the ring, went through the training camps and the weight cuts - all of it. It's different than being an analyst who just writes about it.
Dan hardy is underrated. Don't mean that in a negative way at all. His perspective/commentary on fighting is unmatched. Keep up the good work Dan you're the shit.
I think you get a good look into why Jorge has such a quick trigger when he gets disrespected.. he shows respect to everyone that came before him. He spoke positively about every name that came up. They've given him the thuggish image in the media, but he's really just a good dude who isn't taking unsolicited shit from anyone and only knows how to handle those things one way. He's the man
Walfredo That’s the way I look at it! Someone who lives their life showing respect to others, until they give him a reason not to at least, is definitely going to flip quick when disrespected and fair fuckin play! He treats people as he expects to be treated and as people are now learning, that certainly doesn’t mean you’re soft! I’m a fan of Jorge 💯
@@billpeltier3360 that's cause of the violence...the violence ... His beard relating to jesus ,the resurrection also, his name jorge, j,j v.so new name VIOLENT j Fuk icp
Just watched this and it’s now after the Usman fighter. Can’t wait to see Jorge fight again. Fuck!! Full camp and this blood seeker will collect heads. Cant wait. All respect to Usman but he got off a little lucky dealing with a 6 week Jorge who never went down.
This is rad, Hardy is such a great conversationalist. He gives the perfect balance of actually listening and giving his own input. Brings the best out of Masvidal. Solid
It actually is a sucker punch by the old definition. A sucker punch was one you threw in a fight that the opponent didn't see, you made him a sucker. This bullshit of jumping someone with a punch from behind is just bitch shit that started getting called a sucker punch.
Central Carson Self Storage yes. If your in a fight. Unless it’s a dance fight or something?or Unless the dude has no arms? Tht be a trip. That’s a fuckin lose lose sit.
It’s called a sucker punch.matter of fact it was even more of a sucker punch because he was looking at him. U see a dude walking with his hands behind his back ?That means he’s a polite young lad? Or ? he’s covering his ass to say it was self defense later. Which means he’s gonna hit u. So walking up to him like he wants to talk it out or like he’s playing for the camera? Kinda a sucker move? No?
@Est 1990 I'm not saying masvidal isn't In his prime I said both of them in their prime which means Dan would have to be the one to be In his prime not Jorge
The reason why these interviews are so good is because Dan Hardy is well respected within the MMA community, they open up to him more than they would a journo. It's really priceless stuff for the MMA fan. Thanks Dan and the team for this amazing channel!
The best MMA interview video I've ever seen Real interview; real content; genuine discourse. No hype - no trash talking - real fighters in real environments. Camera guy shot this perfectly - feels natural and edgy Brilliant !!!
This is cool. I remember I trained at ATT back in like 2004, and I had the chance to meet and train with Dan Hardy and Paul Daley. This was before both of them became well know fighters, and it was really cool talking to them about what MMA was like in the UK.
@@marklower007 They were visiting Florida for a few weeks at the time. If you look up Dan Hardy's MMA record, you'll see he fought in AFC back in 2004. I was at that event, so I remember.
Love this format. Hardy understands the struggle fighters have with media obligations, so he makes things as homey as possible...in the gym just shooting the shit in between training sessions.
What a great format. Dan mate, you are so casual and natural on camera. It really feels like we are just hangin with you boys listening in. It helps that Jorge is such a stand up geezer also. Great work.
Same here I just recently started following Bredgame's work & all the while he's from my neighborhood. This vid impressed me with the conversations. Towards the end he mentioned Daniel Valverde who is a legit anaconda on the mat whom I had the honor of tapping out to about 10 years ago. I've got much more respect for Hardy after this & I'm looking forward to his final fight along with Bredgame's next fight after his 5 second new record KO victory. Cheers to all!
I could watch and listen to Hardy and Masvidal talk for a decade. Dan brings out the kinder, gentler side of Jorge and Jorge brings out the fighter in Dan. This is so classy and good. Thanks, guys.
How can anyone not love Jorge, he’s true fighter and so exciting to watch. What a great interview between two great fighters who respect each other. Kudos to Dan and his crew.
This is one of the the best interviews I've ever seen. So natural and casual, felt like I was there chatting with those guys. Dan Hardy is the man, way better than most sports reporters. Not even gonna mention his knowledge of MMA or accomplishments in the octagon..
This was brilliant - so laid back and you could tell Jorge was ultra comfortable with Mr No Tap 😉 Loved the bonus Yoel Romero stories too 😎 Felt like I was there watching some friends chat.
Fighters are more open when speaking to other fighters compared to the regular sports reporter. Especially someone like Dan. This channel will blow up if great content like this keeps coming.
Demetrious The Goat Johnson don’t be silly. That AJ didn’t have no where near the same power then he did in LHW. So really not as big of a deal as some would think.
This got me thinking about the difference between fights. Like you get ring rules, street rules and then basically mortal fights between two guys who are trained but truly want to kill each other. My cousin who is much older than me was in the special forces in UK and he always said a real fight between two guys like that would look 100% different than even a ufc fight. Throat, balls, kneecaps, eyes. Every move is to disable someone to set up a killing move next. It chilled me to think there are a few guys out there and they would go into a fight with this mentality.
Sometimes you forget all these superstars out there are just as human as you. This show really makes you see everything from a totally different down to earth perspective. I love watching!!!
I have seen so many interviews and the way this was done, well done Dan, really a different way of doing it. It gets more natural when you don't follow any script etc. Keep up the good work Dan, really appreciated this one
This is super authentic, much respect to Dan, this is what fans wants, at least what I want! real conversations, real content, real life. My hat of to this , thank you!!
I absolutely love this raw/uncut format. This gives a true fly-on-the-wall feeling and I could watch this for days compared to more polished and produced interviews. Well done, thank you and please keep more of these coming!
Soccer kicks should be allowed, head kicks are just as dangerous, so are them shots Henderson does after knockouts. Soccer kicks would neutralise khabibs low single for 2 meters away.
@@snagboi no offense but that's just plain ignorant, the rules are in favor of strikers, it's not even close: 1) round system; aside from the existence of rounds being very intrusive and 5 mins being rather short (compared to e.g. PRIDE) when the striker is in a bad position at the end of the round he's just granted another chance every round instead of resuming with the original position 2) no clothes; it's more slippery and easier to escape especially as time goes on 3) no strikes to the back of the head; strikers are protected whrn their back is taken in a position which would usually lead to brutal tko/ko.. I could go on forever but ufc is live right now
I love this format. Never seen Jorge look so comfortable in a conversation. Dan deserves a lot of credit for that. He garners respect from fellow fighters, it is clear by how much more open and respectful fighters are when talking to him. Awesome stuff.
Great work Dan! i think you being a fighter makes the fighters being interviewed feel comfortable opening up. Great open honest conversation between to legends!
well done dan, this is by far one of the best fighter interviews i have ever seen, was glued to it from start to finish, because it didn't feel like a media interview, as you are also one of the boys, it just felt so much more natural and like i was just standing there listening to everyone shooting the shit. keep it up, i think this will be huge.
Man, I love everything about this: super raw, bare bones nitty gritty shop talk among fighters. I love the more traditional style interviews and settings as well, but I think I like this even more. Everyone is relaxed, no egos, and you just feel like a fly on the wall. More of this please!
Man, I was glued to this! Two of the sports best, knowledgable and most interetsing fighters, listening to their stories puts it all into perspective, and demands respect. It ain't easy! Salute! More please :)
This wAs so cool to watch..it is amazing how much Jorge looked like Till when he had his high hands south paw and showed that teleporting slide. Throw in the Ludwig reference by The Outlaw Dan Hardy I love it...I'm an old school fight fan I don't think these new guys know how good a Dan Hardy and Duane Ludwig were/are. You think Dan is just this well spoken nice guy but in reality Dan is the loud red Mohawk wearing shit talking killer who's known as the "Outlaw"
Awesome content, Dan. Barely any editing besides the normal/necessary stuff; just straight, real and raw content. Keep up the amazing job. P.S. Your breakdowns/previews with John are my absolute favourites.
this was dope, literally felt like you were just chilling with them. never really knew much about Masvidal, but im a fan now. such a cool guy and interesting guy.
Being a regular person listening to trained fighters talking is like being a fly on the wall listening to spiders talking. Just hanging on their every word, Dan and Masvidal are really cool as can be. Would love more of these videos, so insightful, thank you.
Really enjoying the content. It’s that authentic locker room / training room talk. The intricate details of fighting techniques that you and your guest discuss is GOLD man!! Well done! Keep it coming!! Thanks!!!
great way to do it dan, relaxed casual and just letting it flow no question-answer question-answer just great conversation.... keep it up dude!!!! EDIT.... just noticed masvidals T-shirt lol love it!!!!
More of this type of thing please. Two masters of their craft, breaking it down for the rest of us. Hardy had a great line when he explained "technical understanding" vs "fundamental understanding". Great stuff.
I just watched all 9 episodes of Miami Hustle vids today. Bad ass! No joke, those Hollywood producers should use his skills next time they want to make a film set in Miami.
I'm only about halfway into this thing, but thanks for uploading! I love this kind of candid interview/fly on the wall stuff. PLUS we get one more Dan Hardy fight?! I love it... That GSP fight was legend, I have had nothing but respect for Dan ever since - so much heart - and he's one of the few fighters I was sad to see hang up the gloves. Thanks to both Hardy and Masvidal for this. How sick is the Diaz vs Masvidal fight going to be? People talk about heel vs heel, but this is street vs street, real vs real. This is what I love about fighting, not the peacocking. Great content and down to earth production, thanks.
7:12 such a quintessential british reaction 😂 much love and respect to Dan for the quality content and the honest and unique vibe he always brings us with Beasts like Mr. Masvidal here. Beast conversation. Keep it flowing! 🙌🏼
Sooo much RESPECT for Dan. Everyone knows he has the best fight breakdowns. It’s a tremendous treat to see him flourish towards the end of a great career. Hopefully he gets that last bout. Going out on his own terms. Humble is as the story goes. Hall of fame material here. Kudos kind sir. Keep me coming. And good luck. We all root for you!!!
