I do not feel sorry for that lady as she sits there and cries!! She KNEW exactly what she was planning and she’s a despicable woman!! That family and his children will hurt for the rest of their lives!! What a tragedy
It’s SAD because so many people hurt due to this senseless murder!!! But now Katie cries but she was laughing & partying after the murder was committed!!! NO TEARS THEN!!! 🤨
Wendi and Donna are just as guilty if not more- they are just more protected and entitled their entire lives. They threw a bit of money at these people who were undereducated and impoverished their whole lives, not excusing it but if Katie's guilty then Wendi is just as guilty.
Without her, there would be no murder. As soon as Charlie asked if she knew someone that would murder Dan, she should’ve said absolutely not! Instead, she says YES, use my kids dad! Hell do it! They just wanted money. Didn’t care about Dan
@@SirAndMimms12or she should’ve of gone to the police and today Dan be alive and take custody from Wendi and have lost the kids but her greedy self wanted the money then to say no
Seriously! Like wtf is wrong with these people? What made them think they would get away with this? They were perfectly fine with just killing this innocent man for money and thought they would just go on to live their lives. Disgusting. Now we are supposed to feel bad for them and believe their very obvious lies.
She got what she deserved, but she's crying because she thought she could get away with it, and didn't. With a life sentence, she'll never be free again, so I can understand why she is crying.... all the tears are for herself.
I feel so bad for Dans mom, sister and father. They've been through a living hell for years and On top of that Wendi kept their grandchildren from them. The only type of woman who could do something like this is an evil one. Wendi created this whole mess / murder for hire by crying to Charlie and her parents. Wendi is the most responsible in my opinion.
After studying this case for over a year, I agree with you. Wendi is the core reason behind this tragedy. She wanted a divorce and she got one, but it still wasn't enough. She made Dan's life hell as some sort of epic drawn out tantrum for not feeling "supported or loved" enough during their marriage, and just wanting him out the picture (new flash, Wendi, you can't when you're co-parenting two small kids). She was non communicative, sneaky, and manipulative and tried to twist Dan's will with the relocation, allowing the environment that would encourage her family to promise a bribe of up to a million dollars for him to allow the move to south Florida. This is NOT normal behavior in any divorce. Moreover, this shows in plain black and white evidence that the family has a history of pooling together and putting up money to solve Wendi's issues. BIG money. I think, based on several testimonies as well, that Wendi amped up her problems with everyone she met. It was her favorite topic of conversation, said by many who knew her. Dan's fighting back was starting to make her weary, hence fueling the cycle of even more discontent. She had two huge motives (at least) that I see to keep drilling in to everyone how "persecuted" she was by her ex-husband. 1) The first, Dan discovered Wendi hid assets in their divorce and he was suing her for fraud. They were in a bitter, ongoing battle about assets, and if it went to trial and he won, she potentially could have damaged her law career, or lost her practicing license. 2) Shortly after, Dan filed a motion to restrict visits with Donna, which would have infuriated them (of course, a power struggle) but also made Wendi desperate that she could lose free childcare from her mother. A huge part of the divorce was owing to the fact in her own words that Dan was done with her once the children arrived, so in other words, she felt unduly burdened by rearing the children alone. Importantly, both of these divorce motions happened within the months of the murder. I think Wendi was also more than acutely aware of the million dollar each life insurance policies for her sons that would come to them as survivors. It is clear to me that the whole family was involved, with slightly differing motives, and especially Charlie jumped at the opportunity to make the golden Adelson girls happy and try his hand as a real "Maestro" (no more jokin' around). All gave their blessing, but the word "Go" only came from one who had the most to lose and the most to gain here - Wendi Jill.
I feel bad for the Markel family as well. They were, unironically, punished by Wendi in a similar way that she punished Dan during her initiation of their divorce. Leaving him high and dry without a clue to where his family went, and making him beg for contact and their whereabouts. Wendi makes an irrational case on the stand about keeping her kids "safe" from them due to a foster care inquiry letter. It was no such thing, as proven by prosecutor Georgia Cappelman who received the letter in question, but what it did do was show that the Markels were asking about future Adelson arrests and the guardianship of the boys. So, as the Markels publicly showed they were no longer on the Adelson side they had to pay.
You know I agree to an extent. Wendi married Dan voluntarily. If at some point she thought she’d made a mistake, oh well…she picked him. You don’t kill someone who is not imminently threatening your life just because you’re tired of them. She has ruined the lives of her family of origin, her boys lives to a great extent and even her own. Those people are all so accomplished which proves you can be bright but not too smart.
@@ladycymbeline Thank God, you got everything right. Now that they've got Charlie on charges, do you think they will finally go after Wendy & her mother? I am so tired of Wendy's smug smile as she is untouchable & thinks no one can get her. The 2 million dollar life ins policies on the 2 boys should be revoked as fraud as Dan's death was premediated & planned & was not a natural event of life. What do you think??
I cant believe these lawyers are crying over a woman who arranged the murder of an innocent man, right after dropping his two kids off at daycare. The kids he fought and died for.
Im going to pretend they are crying because their hearts are broken for all the children involved in this who lost parents. Katie and her "husband" going to prison so their kids are essentially parentless.
For a lawyer, the client is everything and I am sure they felt horrible seeing Katie found guilty, their sole job was to defend her, no matter what she did previously.
YES!!! she really is!!! I certainly hope she is also found guilty for this horrible crime in which a wonderful man lost his life!!! and it so greatly effected many others as well..just heart breaking💔
Everything that Rivera testified about has so far been proven to be true so I'm 1000% convinced that what he said about Wendi being involved is also true. They've now gotten her brother and her days are numbered as well. For "intelligent, sophisticated, rich" people, they're very dumb thinking they'd get away with it.
@@silalily6961 the saddest thing is that in all this it will end up affecting her children the most in the end.. they will be without their father and their mother and other family members that I am sure they were close to..also, I'm sure they were told some not so very kind things about their grandparents as well..it's all so sad💔😥
Who would know Dan's schedule or routine better than Wendi‽ Those hitmen would have definitely needed that info to carry out the hit. Wendi is definitely involved...
@joycewang8939 1 second ago I heard about this case when the murder happened. I was in Taiwan. Ever since then, I want to see the Adelson family be brought to justice. Wendi should be indicted soon. Yesterday, Palm Beach County State Attorney said in a Survivig the Survivor event that he believed Wendi should be indicted.
Yes she will. And she certainly wasn't arrogant and sassy at the verdict, as she was during her testimony. She just didn't see it coming because her ego got in the way.
The defense attorney that is crying for her client doesn’t have the slightest idea how the Markell family felt when finding out their son/brother was murdered.
Look. I agree she is guilty. With that being said, a good attorneys job is to offer the best defense they can. That attorney did an admirable job in her profession. That requires a lot of time, energy, and sacrifice. All humans have limits and thresholds. That attorney just ran a marathon and her invested energy was overwhelming. That is not a salute to defending a guilty person. It's a commendation to a professional that put everything into their efforts.
What gets me extremely angry is watching Katie cry with all that emotion for herself yet she has an innocent man killed who has 2 young children and she didn't shed a tear. She is evil as evil as a woman can get and thank God for this verdict.
@@bvl98 Life without parole+60 years if she happens to be reincarnated. She is fairly young. Just sending her pictures of the beach, pizza, and her kids would break her daily.
I completely agree, was okay to garnish the money for breaststroke holidays drinking wine / living the life with not an ounce of guilt!!! Nor a tear ….. yet she’s breathless when found guilty! Maybe with her life sentence she will process the pain Dan children felt and his parents! Guilty guilty guilty ! Well done jourers🙏🙏🙏
I can not believe that she was offered complete immunity in the beginning if she were to cooperate with the state. Instead, she chose to go to trial with a life sentence hanging over her head. I have to think that decision will haunt her for the rest of her days.
i cannot believe she did not try to stop the murder, ESPECIALLY after the first attempt. Katie is dumb and evil and sociey will be safer with her behind bars Maybe she can find a pen pal while she contiues to rot in prison.. I feel so bad for het children. Her daughter had just turned four when Sigfrefo got arrested.
@@Johnleonard-w5z yea I saw her testifying. She did it cause there was probably talk about her getting a lighter sentence somewhere down the road..but I doubt it. She surely didn't testify out of the goodness of her heart..or in her words, "it's the right thing to do".
@@Johnleonard-w5z yea, I'm sure revenge also plays a part in her decision. I know she was sentenced to life without parole. However, she can get a sentence reduction in the DA pushes for it.
This woman never accepted the wrong she did. She decided that she would pretend nothing ever happened, and by doing so the horrible crime she committed will magically go away, and she will continue to live her life as she knew it.
I was relieved when her husband was spared the death penalty, why? It was like he realized he did wrong, never testified, put up no fight and at least looked like he was resigned to his fate. She on the other hand saw no wrong in what she did, fought and lied her way to the bitter end. Felt in no way responsible for what she did. What a liah, she remembered nothing of her past, no wrong doing whatsoever. She and Wendi Adelson, two spoiled brats were quite ready to throw everyone under the bus so they can both walk away free. Charlie, Wendy's brother is now referring to her as the what was it, " Cash Fund Baby?" He's having buyers remorse now that he is sitting in jail, while Wendi is going about her business free so far.
She was showing her street cred, look who she hung with. She will do a 180 when she gets to the Joint and walk around like Tough Tony, threatening the other inmates with her L.K. "connects."
*twice* and *twice turn it DOWN* I never felt a Well deserved LWP for anyone setting the murder of another humans being like this EVIL woman. ruined her own children lives *KNOWINGLY* .its INSANE
I think Charlie had her convinced that there was just no way she'd be found guilty, that there was not enough evidence and that because she wasn't at the scene of the murder and didn't pull the trigger, she was innocent 😳. That's how wacky those people are. Charlie thought the same thing for himself. That there would be no way he'd be found guilty of a murder he himself didn't commit. Yet, he was and is now serving his life sentence in prison. Donna is next. WooHoo!!! Can't wait until she gets her guilty verdict too. Then Wendi. Possibly Harvey too. They all played a part in Dan's death and until all are prosecuted and in prison, there won't be complete justice for Dan.
When the camera pans over to Danny's family, my heart breaks. So many emotions going on right there. The combination of joy and absolute heartbreak they feel at the same time is there. Justice will be served for Dan. On God, Charlie, Donna, and Wendi are next.
becky1993. I hope so that they are next. The Adelson family are all psychopathic except for the oldest brother who has nothing to do with his family. He GETS IT.
Charlie and Donna hopefully. I think Wendi has insulated herself from the murder enough to escape conviction. I hope life will be very difficult for her from now on though.
@@nh6central This is fair. I want to see Wendi in prison orange (or whatever color the jumpers are now) but I also know that seeing her brother behind bars makes her life harder so in a way, I'm ok if Wendi isn't charged.

I just love those crocodile tears from Katie once she hears the verdicts! What happened to that tough girl who was on that phone call saying she beats up women for a living and she's not the one to be messed with? 🤷♂️🤦♂️ Now she's going to be sent to maximum security prison to never see the outside of a prison again except in the prison yard. Her plan was to beat the trial then collect a big sum of money from the Adelson family, but that plan backfired Katie.
I only feel sorry for Dan and his family certainly not this murderous monster. Now I'm waiting for the rest of the monsters, Wendi, the mother and the brother.
My heart goes out to the Markel family, including the two Markel boys. They will have their proper last names restored. The boys will miss the love of a wonderful father.
I heard about this case on the news, the day it happened. It haunted me for all of these years. After the first Dateline, I knew that she was guilty. She is so used to getting her way when she stomps her little feet, that she was not going to allow anyone to keep her from moving, not even their father. Rather than being thankful that she has a father for her children that loved them and was willing to raise them and care for them, she took it all away from them. I cannot wait until these boys are old enough to learn everything about it. They will end up hating her and her family. She is an idiot for planning this to happen 3 days before the hearing they had coming up. She knew she had already lost. She became desperate, and that made her dangerous. She is still dangerous. Her entire family is dangerous. The only one I am unsure of would be her father. That is only due to her mother tell Charlie to come over when he was not home. May have been protecting his involvement or may have been that she knew he would turn them all in. Maybe he is a decent human. Who knows? But I will say this, had she not been white and wealthy, she would have been convicted already. I hate playing the “race card,” but it is just a fact. I am white, but it is just so obvious that if you are white and privileged as she is, you are just treated differently than other people. It is never what you are, it is always who you are…even in 2022. I can consider my life complete, the day she is put in a cell and locked away and both of her sons look at her tell her just how despicable she is, and that they never want to see her again. But it is not over, not by a long shot. The FBI and the police in Tallahassee, are not done with her or her mother. Charlie May squeal like a pig and turn state’s evidence, when his powdered butt has to live in a cell. They all need the death penalty. Killing an unarmed and innocent man that simply loved his boys and got involved with the family of snakes dressed in Armani suits.
Damn. You really live up to that profile handle, but in all seriousness, yes, I completely agree with you, it's bizarre how not all parties involved have been charged yet at this point
She may have compromised hereself with a burner phone to such an extent that when the Markels raise the inevitable civil trial for wrongful death she's convicted there in any case. There are two known burner phones on the list of CDRs given to Rashbaum . MY guess is that CA ran one of them and WJA the other. If she called her mother just a few times from her apptmnt in Talla (the phones involved were on the AT&T system ) then it's going to be obvious to any civil jury who the likely user was. Now if she was idiot enough to call her mother on the same phone just after the murder scene was seen then the civil prosecution lawyers will have her by the nuts. I have posted that data and other warrants to commentator Carl Steinbeck in the last few weeks. He may well bring them up in one of his podcasts. If you don't believe me then contact him for a copy. He lists an email address on his podcasts on this subject.
Perhaps they will move up the chain of guilty participants in this terrible crime, saving the most reprehensible criminals for last. Everything will be revealed.
@@thekittyqueen3495 It's not if, it appears to be precisely the strategy. But as they do it they have to offer deals to the smaller fish. So KM has done a proffer and she think she has a deal. Did some research now I know why Katherine's attorney is crying! The State offered Katherine full immunity to testify against the Adelsons and her lawyers told her to turn it down because she would be acquitted. This was so obviously a decision made solely for her attorneys benefit. I do believe The Adelsons through a 3rd party was paying Katherines legal bills and had Katherine accepted the full immunity deal her attorneys would not have received the hefty amount of money they got from the Adelsons. Katherine is sooo stupid. She allowed the Adelsons and her attorneys to ruin her life and any chance of being free to see her children grow up! If I were a gambling person I would say that the male attorney thought she should have accepted the immunity deal and the female told her to fight it. Which is why during the second trial he wasn't as passionate about fighting as he was in the first trial. The first trial the audio recording was so bad it really didn't make an impact but after they cleared up that tape and heard what was going on it was pure negligence and greed to advise her to not accept full immunity. Kawaas seems to be so much more attached because she was probably the one that told her to not accept immunity. The man simply has a look of "I told you to accept immunity" and if that wasn't bad enough the male attorney called the Prosecutor to congratulate her on a job well done meanwhile Kawaas is crying as if she is on trial that is her guilt at being so greedy for money she threw away her clients chance at full immunity. Her and Katherine both belong to the "I'll do anything for money no exceptions club"
She couldn't have with her current counsel. Katie was instructed that is was in her best interest to deny, remain vague, and hope for reasonable doubt from the jury, so that prosecuting the Adelsons later on would be harder because the conspiracy theory could be shown as a fallacy. They used the hung jury from last trial as a dangled carrot, I'm sure. Katie was still used as a pawn to protect those who employed her, even when it would have been in her best interest to testify against them. We can only hope that before her sentencing in a few weeks there is some news of her cooperating.
Katie thought the lawyers the Adelsons hired would get her a not guilty verdict, so she could get that cash payout they promised her. Greed. Katie deserves the same death sentence she gave Dan Markel.
@@bonjovirocks24 Yep, the hung jury on her joint trial with Sigfredo was a curse. Counsel definitely tempted Katie with- we were "so close!" Little did they know that the Dolce video (which Katies team desperately tried to throw out) was front and center in this retrial. I have faith the State knows what their doing, and more is to come!
@@justrione She'll be left to stew in prison facing a life sentence without parole. She'll reach out to Georgia Cappleman and hope to get a deal in order to see her children. I think the State will offer her about 30 years in return for testimony against Charlie, Wendy and Donna.
Right. I speculate somehow the fees were paid by Harvey Adelson. Imagine being Harvey Adelson and working your whole life very hard to earn money for retirement and now you have to pay financially for all these foolish individuals who cannot pay their own legal fees. If my family did something like this, I would move away never to contact them again.
Katherine knew it was coming, you could see in her panicked breathing. At least they are a little closer for closure. Dan knew what kind of defective mess Wendi truly is and she hated him for it. She killed him. She is an immoral POS. Dan parents should get their visitation and their children should get counseling.
I agree. Dan knew that she was a very evil person. Wendi was going around telling all the professors from any department at the University that would listen to her that Dan did not treat her well. Dan didn't get down on his knees for the princess. That is not a battered woman's sign of abuse. I hope these people that took part of the campaign to put Dan down think about how manipulated they were. Let's put it this way if Dan was truly as bad as Wendi spewed---it would be Wendi dead, not Dan. As you said Dan did know she was very defective.
I'm so shocked that so many of you think Katie is upset because she listened to her lawyers who "told her to fight it." That decision is up to the defendant and you can not blame anyone but her for not taking the deal.
I'm so glad the jury made the right decision. Her attorney really let her damage herself more by testifying and apparently not coaching her to not answer every question with I don't know/I can't recall, yet every question her atty asked she was able to answer without hesitation. It certainly made her look like she is incapable of telling the truth, and I'm guessing she had no credibility whatsoever after she testified. No sympathy or empathy for her tears for herself.
Her lawyers were very unprofessional, grabbing tissues, crying. They also didn't stand for the jury when they were leaving! The prosecution on the other hand, didn't gloat, celebrate or say anything much to Dan's family, just politeness & they walked out quickly with class and dignity, knowing they'd done justice for the family.. And that Is how it's done, true professionals.👍
There is no need to come down on the lawyers. The judge clearly stated that they could remain seated. Moreover, everyone is entitled to a defense, even if the guilt is clear as day. The lawyers are just doing their job.
@@GA-fz2wt Of course they lost. No one is debating that. But picking on the lawyers is not, to borrow from Dan Markel, kosher. 😄 The judge clearly asked the lawyers to remain seated. @@GA-fz2wt hmm, yeah, maybe this time around. But I did watch all of the first trial and the defense was super sharp. They would have to be to have gotten the hung jury they did that time given the masses of evidence the prosecution had. Maybe they ran out of steam this time.
So many lives destroyed, so many parents grieving, so many children without parents, so many families obliterated all because one rich evil family couldn’t accept that their daughter and grandkids lived just a few hours away.
Her attorney’s are crying tears of guilt. For advising her to not take the plea deal. The promised her she’d be acquitted… they are feeling very guilty
Most people don't recognize this! They think it's because she has such a caring defense team. KM was more than likely on the fence but her defense team encouraging her to fight compounded with the Adelsons promising her she will be rich for the rest of life spoke to her greedy soul! No defense attorney can make you take a plea or not take a plea ultimately the decision is yours. After being offered full immunity twice as Cappleman admitted as well as CA's attorney during his bond hearing KM got what most people charged with murder could only dream of twice and her voracious greed made her throw away the ability to raise her 2 children who's father she helped to get life in prison and who's grandma is dead. She is so greedy that I first thought she would be the best one to offer full immunity to because she would never do anything like this again but after loving money more than her children I believe if she were offered money again she would do the exact same thing again, therefore all of these people need to be behind bars along with the Adelsons!
They also cried after the first trial, they act all mean and rude to anyone then sit before the world and cry ,unprofessional!!! They knew she was guilty, shame on them all, Dad Markel didn’t deserve to die..
I watched portions of Katie's testimony and I didn't see any emotion from her the entire time. As a matter of fact she was uncooperative in terms of answering questions and at times she was politely combative when answering questions she didn't at all answer any questions with an ounce of truth unless it was directly from her attorney, she didn't have respect for the prosecution at all. I know they were accusing her of a crime but, being less than genuine didn't help her in the long run. So now when time is up she now shows emotions. The emotions as we all know are not about the innocent man that she was hired to murder, it was bc she wasn't able to fool the jury with the little girl looks and soft voice. She will have plenty of time to think about what she has done and ask God for forgiveness.
She is guilty ... but if she wasn't so needy for money, for approval, attention, and recognition...she wouldn't have gotten tangled up with C. Adelson. Evil that trickled down from from one person to another. Fearing the Lord is the first step to wisdom.
IMO, just the fact that she would roll in the sack with Charles who has admitted to screwing around with all kinds of women says a lot about her... how can anyone state that she has pride, she would not have gotten mixed up with such a slime ball if she had any dignity!
Kawass has helped Katie progress her set of lies from day one...Kawass has turned ugly and fat just like Katie...instead of their noses growing their big A's grow bigger with their lies. I wonder what lies Kawass was trying to hold back from the court when Kawass got red handedly tape recorded talking to Sigfredo in jail? Kawass was so nervous she begged the court to redact her from the recording. Now her nose will grow.
Then she dumped her like a quarterback sneaking around with a school outcast!!! Why are you crying?? You committed a crime!!!!!! Stop crying!!! You’re getting what you deserve !!! Not one tear for Dan or his children or family when she was solicited for murder!!! But much tears now ? What is this ?
She could have taken a plea deal and in exchange for her testimony. But she turned it down. Probably at the advice of her lawyer, who was paid by the Adelsons. They are all a bunch of vile people. I feel sorry for her children, though. it's always innocent kids who suffer when parents and grandparents do such evil.
Don’t cry now Katie. You’re crying for yourself and not Dan Markel or his family. You don’t become this way overnight. I wonder what else she’s done. 👀
I seriously hope the Adelson family has to pay as well. Especially Wendy for not only participating but then horribly taking their fathers name away. And I'm so tired of these women crying for themselves when they get their just rewards.
Katie's concerned lawyers - as soon as Katie was hauled out of the court room - the first thing her lawyers said to each other was "so -- where should we go to lunch?"
@ Justin. They knew she committed the crime, and this is what I hate about defense lawyering. You cannot and should not seek justice for crime, you ask for mercy. The jurors wept when they handed down the sentence for her husband Garcia, I wonder if they'd weep for her. Both parents of those kids mist likely would be spending life in prison, for money I am sure, they never fully enjoyed.
To both Kawass’s and Lacoste..ladies and gentlemen, you are on the wrong side of justice on this one. Everyone is entitled to a defense team, absolutely. But sitting there crying over the fact that Dan Markel and his family got a piece of justice on this day is actually ridiculous. You allowed your emotion to take over - you got way too close - your weakness in this trial was that you didn’t keep a healthy emotional distance. It was clear to all of us watching that you let your heart do the talking instead of your head. That’s unfortunate because you three are incredible attorneys!! There’s not a defense team that could have done better than what you put together for Kaddie! I congratulate you for the way you’ve refined and honed in on your craft over the years you’ve defended KM. But things turned out exactly the way they should have. RIP Dan - Justice will come in full in time.
Were they her lawyers the first time? New to this trial...it sure does seem they were devastated by the guilty conviction..especially the woman facing the camera she looked absolutely terrified and then just pure devastation..Never seen attorneys show this much emotion..
@@daybyday0731 yes. They screwed up. It’s pretty damn sad to see them crying like children who didn’t get their way on a playground when Markels family has been destroyed over this for YEARS! Sad to see brilliant grown women behave like this.
I think there's more at play than meets the eye. My personal opinion is they might have felt like they misled Katie and gone ahead with a shaky fight at best at this trial, especially owing to the fact they couldn't throw out the Dolce video. They aren't dumb lawyers, they see what the State prepared against Katie and even knew the details intimately from the first trial. I think her law team was probably in a deadlock about what to do. They knew it wasn't likely that she could win this time with the damning video of Charlie telling her to go kill someone else, but they were instructed to fall on their swords basically at the chance they might get the heat off the Adelsons. If Katie had gotten a Not Guilty verdict it would mean that in Charlie's upcoming trial, and the potential future trials of others, the conspiracy theory of the State had holes that fell apart with reasonable doubt. Katie's loss last month would have all now shaking in their boots that they can't bury this, I'd say angry is probably not even the right word for it. I wouldn't want to be Katie's law team right now- feeling that wrath and tension through attorney office walls, and I'd probably cry too under the pressure of 'what to do now.' However, Katie, selfish Katie, NEEDS to speak to the evidence and her part in this. She may still be able to get parole in her twilight years. When will this be 'every man for himself' now. And what about Sigfredo... he knows just as much and his cooperation might get his kid's mom some benefit as well. Make no mistake, Katie is guilty of everything, but it is sad that she's some legal pawn now as well.
8:32 “ I didn’t want this .” This is such a tragic quote for all the innocent victims who really deserve compassion and our sympathies. Katie it is tragic that you did not hold an ounce of humanity within your heart to stop this senseless destruction of innocent lives. Sadly you did not foresee that greed is always self serving and justice will prevail .
when Dan s neighbour found him shot he said he was shaking his head right to left in pain, probably thinking of the children he fought so hard for may this POS have a miserable life behind bars and only gets out in a box. Cant wait to see Charlie and the rest taken in handcuffs
As poignant as that might be, that was not what she said or was referring to. The bailiff was offering her to take her Kleenex or maybe some notes or something on the table and she said " I don't want those" . You could see that because the bailiff made some gesture towards something on the table in front of her.
@@hcb9450 That's not true! She clearly said "I didn't want this" "This" and "Those are not similar sounds no one would mistake "This for "Those" when listening to someone saying it. It makes absolutely no sense and there was no way shape fashion or form was she saying "Those" she said "This" Why would KM saying she didn't want tissue cause her attorney to start crying? Because that's not what KM said she said "I didn't want this" indicative of her attorney persuading her and the Adelsons encouraging her to fight for a large payout that she was ambivalent about doing but because she is a greedy murdering ho accepted the offer. KM is just as sneaky, greedy and disgusting as everyone else in this mess except for some reason people are calling her less culpable and rooting for her acquittal. A person who could do something this disgusting as they happily reap the rewards of going back and forth to the bank depositing murder money, having breast augmentation and never ever in all of the recordings they have of her showed one ounce of guilt or remorse for what she did. Everyone says she is better than the rest I feel the only way she could have been better than the rest was to stop this from taking place. No attorney or anyone else can force her to plea a certain way ultimately she decided to go the greedy route and hope she is acquitted even with all of the evidence against her shows the type of person she was. She was constantly at CA asking for more and more favors way after the murder. She probably had an idea that CA planned on her having an unfortunate accident at sea with her Mom which is why she chose not to take that all expense paid cruise CA so wanted her to take.
As bad as Sigfredo and Katie were, to their innocent children they were still "mom and dad", but no more. It is very sad to see how money from the ruthless wealthy corrupted the desperate pathetic poor-folks who sold their souls for new motorcycles and breast implants.
Katie proved she knew how to lie but underestimated the truth would come out she will pay for her greed of easy money and the family that were just as bad in organising the murder get to be free and live their lives their is no real justice in this story a good man lost his life beacause he loved his kids
This verdict will never bring Dan back and i know the pain will never go away, but watching Katiies reaction to the verdict priceless. she was fake crying before the judge even read the verdict. She knew she was done!!! How evil can you be! I loved watching her bury herself on the stand.
I say this all the time. There are cameras everywhere and everybody has a phone that track their whereabouts 24/7. You can not get away with murder unless you are a serial killer and have no connection to your victim(s).
Good lord - her lawyers, which are being paid for by Wendy’s family I’m sure, look like they are next on their families shit-list. They seriously have the face of being told “if you don’t pull out a victory for her, you can kiss everything you love goodbye”. They didn’t seem to want to comfort Katie at all - yet they seemed truly worried. Which makes me think it’s likely sorry for themselves.
Lol, did you hear the opening remarks from the defense. The first thing that they agreed to was that they AGREED with the prosecution that the conspiracy was hatched by Charlie Adelson and that he was guilty of the murder of Dan Markel. There is no way that the defense lawyers are being paid for by the Adelson family.
@@daybyday0731 Defending her? To the best of my understanding no Adelson has ever been charged with anything. Do you know that these lawyers represent any of the Adelsons also?
Georgia knows wendi is a liar and guilty indicated by how she last questioned her on the stand - wendi did drive to the crime scene and did make an immediate phone call using whatsapp - katie is probably telling everything right now prior to her sentencing - thats what they need to nail charlie and then donna adelson just as rivera's testimony nailed katie - i could see charlie offing himself in jail - i hope i live long enough to see donna arrested. Sadly, with her high priced attorney i could see wendi not convicted, with her and her sons inheriting Harvey's millions of dollars in cash, properties and investments - i believe she implicated Charlie from day one for that reason - if charlie is in jail for life he is out of Harvey's will with wendi being the executor of her dad's will and estate - pretty clever and ruthless of wendi, isn't it?
I do not think Katy should get any reduction in her sentence simply because she put the Govt through a long and costly investigation and trial, it should be looked at as too little, too late. With all her glass eyed memory loss, how could she now change direction, she'd suffer with serious whip lash the rest if her life. Where would she find that new found memory? They would all be lies too. I guess to legally nail Donna and Wendi, they would need her corroboration to prove their case against them, then offer her all the Ice cream she could eat.
That was some of the most brutal questioning I have ever heard. I think Wendi left that place bloodied and bruised, it must have given her food for thought.
Did anyone else notice how KM’s lawyers totally ignored her when she was upset? They acted like they were so close but yet they didn’t even look at her let alone comfort her. That was weird. Or were they actually shocked by the verdict? If so that was dumb because they had so much evidence
How could they have been surprised at this verdict, there was a mountain of evidence against her and the prosecutors did a magnificent job, as always; if you’re gonna commit crime, don’t do it in Tallahassee or Pensacola because Georgia and Bridget will nail you🤗
Today in mid November she decided to go and cooperate. Let's see how this plays out with the prosecution. If and that's a BIG if Georgia Kappleman decides to play ball with Katherine I still think she's going to offer her no less than 30 years to serve. It's much better than life with no parole, but I highly doubt Katie will be given 15-20 years. She's already got 7 years in so even of they give her 30 she'll be up for parole in another 5 years. Her husband who pulled the trigger will never see the day of light. Donna and Wendi Adelson must be going crazy right now with major anxiety
Damn like Katie can’t even catch her breath! And the lawyer lady in black and pink is starring at Katie like “damn bitch get yourself together” it’s heartbreaking to see Dan markels family
When your boyfriend asked you to commit a criminal act, flee “ what's love gotta do with it ?” Magbanua was blinded by the “ fast bucks” offered by her boyfriend Dr.Charlie Adelson, the moment she accepted that murderous job, she entered the Lion’s Den .
Who the hell would be a defence lawyer having to defend someone like this? The lawyers misplaced tears should be reserved for DM family and in particular his two precious little boys who will grow up without the love and protection of their adored father 😥
THE 2 LADIES FOR THE STATE WAS SO GOOD. .. I AM SO GLAD THEY GOT HER. I HOPE THEY GO GET WENDY. CAUSE SHE HAD A HAND IN HER CHILDREN DADS MURDER. . . WELL DONE ... THE JURY GOT IT RIGHT. AND THEY CAN GO HOME AND SLEEP GOOD AT NIGHT... THANK YOU JURORS.
I don’t understand why this Katie lady took the fall? The only thing I can think of is that the Adleson’s must be taking care of her kids while she is incarcerated(?)
I have watched this verdict repeatedly and I am unashamedly getting pleasure from hearing the guilty verdicts and watching Katie's reaction. Sorry, not sorry.
@@mirquellasantos2716 yup! Part of the reason why I enjoy watching her pain is that she conspired to murdered a total stranger who did her no wrong and when she could've taken a deal, testified against Charlie and his family and at least look forward to one day going back home to her kids but she choose not. She was so stubborn, so selfish, so unrepentant, so arrogant to think she could get away with it. She wanted easy money and to be a hot girl with big boobs that she pressured her idiot baby daddy to commit murder for her rich boyfriend and his family. I can't wait for the sentencing. She deserves life without parole. Let her rot in jail with her nice boobs.
Re the defense attorneys, Kawas just did her prissy Jamaican-accented theatrics routine, to no avail. But DeCoste cross-examining Wendi Adelson really hit home, and scored points, pinning her down with some well-targeted and penetrating questioning. She successively lied, denied, deflected or counter-attacked, looking decidedly uncomfortable, her answers rarely sounding credible. She may have had immunity from self-incriminating, but she showed why she's a suspected co-conspirator. And never a hint of any mourning for her murdered ex-husband.
Am I the only one who loves watching her reaction when she gets this verdict ..girl why didnt you take the plea deal yhese people are not worth your life
Wow. Prior to 2020 I would follow a true crime case and would follow it from start to finish. When her first trial resulted in a hung jury, I would check up this case every 2-3 months or so and with COVID delays nothing seemingly was happening. Checked on it today for the first time in probably 9/10 months or so and was blown away. Not only had this retrial occured but the brother is also arrested. Personally, I believe she got what she deserved. Also, she's clearly not the thrust in this sordid tale, but rightfully will pay the appropriate price. Given the right conditions/circumstances, it's amazing how susceptible most humans can be to depravity. Just a sad deal all the way around.
They had almost 0 chance to win. Only way was a jury member feeling sorry. But, they would have needed all. Another hung jury and she would have been taken to trial again. The evidence was too much to let her go.
Is the lawyer trying to get a re-trail for insufficient defense or is she just an unprofessional emotional wreck? Act accordingly to the situation and your profession - this is a court room!. You can cry when you get home.
