A message about child abuse, alcoholism, traumatic events, and the gamer instinct to punch first ask questions later. Really heavy stuff.

I came here because of an advertisement, expecting it at first a cheap mobile game but watching the entire ad and to this full video. It changed my expectations

At the beginning it was OK, then it became surprisingly awesome, then it went surprisingly deep. That escalated quickly.

see, this is the reason why i like this series. while it can be funny and ridiculous, it always bring a message. like in this episode where the message is to not think drinkers (or any other bad mannered people) are bad for no reason. they had terrible backstories that resulted them into the man they have become.

JOHO, I think your animations are beautiful and can truly change people. Please make more of these, they're a real inspiration

Here is a explanation of the sad story by Cakenja (you can find it in a reply of a comment.) When the drunk dude was a kid he had a abusive dad which caused the mother and father's death. And he fight backs the ghosts which represents the depression of the deaths. And him being near means his depression beat him.

Awesome. The message didn't sink in on the initial viewing but I got it on the 2nd. I've never seen the vocabulary of video games used to communicate the cycle of violence. I really liked the symbolism you chose for Dan's deceased, abusive parents - chasing him endlessly in a maze to find, at most, temporary relief in the very bottled substance that fueled his father's alcoholism. He lost in the past, and could only lose, but wins in the present by choosing non-violence. Nice touch! Bravo! :)

Which I didn't "get" until reading Phil's comment, and what makes the whole thing ever better, both the Drunk and Dan break their cycle of violence. But what now for Dan, non-violent video games? No way! ;) Awesome work, great message.

Moral of the story: A drunk only drinks because of the pains in the past, not for the pains of today.

Saw this as an ad on another channel. And saw the entire commerical, I had to come here. From the beginning of the episode as it. Also learn the truth. If you beat up a lawyer in this videogame world they can produce gold coins. Question though. How come when he beat up the paramedic no health boxes though. But the story was deep and loved it

Explacion: Dan se encuentra en un bar, donde aparece un personaje que le agrede y el toma la opcion de golpearlo dos veces y a la tercera vez decide golpearlo y escapar encontrándose con un espiritu o alma que le explica porque el que le agredio es asi alparecer el hombre tuvo una dura infancia el tipico caso de el padre alcolico y el violencia donde el padre mata a su esposa y el muere envenenado por el alcohol y el chico queda huerfano Explicacion del juego (pacman): el hombre se encuentra acorralado donde su unica escapatoria del dolor es el alcohol y dan al descubrir su historia decide ayudarlo con su problema y el hombre al ver que dan le da la mano piensa que es su padre pidiendole perdon desde el mas alla y asi termina este stage un poco triste pero termina bien:D
