I have listened and watched Ted Neely ‘ s a hundred times and more. This man just did an amazing job and I am so happy he didn’t change a thing.Amazing voice to what I think was probably the greatest scene ever recorded. This video should have millions of views.
DAN VASC WHO SINGS FROM OPERA TO HEAVY METAL, AND SEE HIS OPERATIC SIDE THE MUSIC OF THE NIGHT, NASSUM DORMA. AMAZING GRACE, BRING ME TO LIFE, POKER FACE, DAWN OF VICTORY, YOUR METAL VOICE. HE IS WONDERFUL. TKSSS
Dan Vasc is his stage name. His real name is Daniel Vasconcelos, which is the name on his very earliest videos. He is a classically trained, Brazilian metal singer who can cover a wide range of genre. All of the suggestions in the comments here are great ones, mostly because all of Dan's songs are great. It just comes down to a matter of your own taste. If you like metal, I recommend his cover of "Bring Me to Life" and his most recent release, "The Number of the Beast." You can find covers of everything from opera, to folk, to hymns, to rather raunchy rock parody songs. But the majority of his work is metal. His older videos have tags on the end where he talks a bit and thanks his patrons (he no longer uses Patreon, but that's a whole different story). A few videos have intros where he explains why he chose to do that particular song. These little snippets give you a glimpse into the kind of man he is. He says his channel is all about powerful music that uplifts you so you can "have an epic day."
Welcome to Dan Vasc Nation. Dan is the most amazing singer and talented artist. There is no genre he cannot master. He has an amazing catalogue of covers and his own band, Fearless. His first love is metal and I believe he has made that genre so accessable to a wide age range. Can recommend any of his covers. Loved your reaction 😊
I came to know about Dan Vasc through his rendition of Amazing Grace. He is a Christian (Methodist) and his voice is remarkable. Being a member of Vasc Nation is truly a joy! Welcome and thank you for your reaction.
All recorded in the garage of his home in Brazil... I'm a 71 yr old metal head and Dan has just reignited my passion for power metal... thank you for such a great reaction, I will say every single one of his over 200 covers is a pleasure to watch and listen too.. and you did just fine by actually taking time to study what you were seeing and hearing.. Hope you do travel down the Rabbit hole with us.
With over 200 awsome covers, Dan reminds me of an old Robert Frost poem. "The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." Enjoy the ride!
I think it’s going to be an ever evolving journey , and it’s definitely adding more to my musical experience 😊, and I will have to go read that poem ( I’m a reading fanatic 😳)
Dan Vasc is a phenomenal singer and an amazing performer. His unique and powerful voice, and his incredible vocal range are just something. He's absurdly insane. Just the best. Thanks for your reaction to this Dan's outstanding masterpiece .
Every song Dan Vasc covers is perfection. He is so emotionally connected to the songs, he becomes the story. He has never failed to impress me yet. Every genre from opera to rock, metal, pop, musicals etc. you will never walk away insatisfied with his rendition of a song.
Hi Kay , I have faith in good people giving honest advice and opinions 🙏🏻 but ! Well this Sunday 2pm GMT “ Amazing Grace “ is going out 😊 what did I think ? Well people will or will not be surprised 😊👍
I forgot 'Dawn of Victory' which is absolutely superb! If you need a kick up the backside at any time - this is the 'go to' song! He sings it along side Fabio Lione from Rhapsody of Fire (one of his idols which you will understand better when you see them together) but the band is his, 'Fearless' with whom he made his albums of original music which are also exceptional. I cannot imagine what it must have been like to have your idol agree to do this with you - his face tells you - it's one of pure joy!
Welcome to Vasc-Nation. Dan has almost a million loyal followers. He has had and also taught vocal training. His catalog is massive which contains beautiful and exciting songs from opera to power metal. I enjoyed your reaction to his powerful performance. ❤
Your reaction was very good. You could separate difference to the Bible and just witness an incredible performance. Thank you. Dan is a very special singer. The]y Amazing Geace first. It is the best introduction to this man’s metal singing skills.
Hi Alan! Dan sing power metal, synfonic metal, opera, pop and rock. He sing Nightwish, Sabaton, Manowar, Lady Gaga, Evanescence, The Witcher's songs (metal version), ... Listen Amazing Grace, Bring Me To Life, Bohemian Rapsody, Handel's Halleluiah (One Man Choir), ... Thank you for your reaction and your words about Dan. ❤ Rio-Brazil
Hello to Brazil 😊 I’m s ok glad you enjoyed and I’ve saved your comment so I can add to the list that I now know will be at least 1 or 2 years of exploring and Sharing 😊👍
Dan Vasc is an amazing vocalist! He can sing anything from opera to metal! He is spot on with every performance. Please check out more of his covers…you won’t be disappointed! He has the best screams that I’ve heard since the 80s! There are so many to choose from Dan…you will be surprised! Looking for more. Your reactions were wonderful and your review was spot on. Thanks for checking on Dan. 🎶🎶
Hi👋, I’m new to your reaction channel. I truly love your reactions! Very honest. Very sincere. No fake big grins just to placate to Dan’s fans. You are genuine and I like that. You’ve earned yourself a new subscriber! I’m really looking forward to seeing more Dan Vasc reactions from you! He truly is a superstar in every performance that he gives!🙌🔥
If I only had one subscriber and it was for the reasons you have joined then I’d genuinely be both satisfied and grateful for that 😊 genuinely RU-vid is a medium where I can just share my thoughts reflecting on songs I know and then learning artists I don’t .. if I tried to placate or fake it , I’d probably get dissatisfied very quickly and delete the channel .. I’m nearly 60 don’t want to be chasing if that makes sense .. I do have an ego of course but I keep it in check ! I’m just having fun and learning 😊👍 thank you for your support and yes more DV for sure 👍
Great reaction. New subscriber here. I love seeing people react to Dan Vasc for the very first time. He is a phenomenal talent and deserves all the recognition he can get. His preferred genre is metal, but he can (and does) sing everything from opera to heavy metal. He also has some acoustic covers. Head down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed!
My biggest word of advice when viewing any of his performances is to read the video description. Always gives good insight into what it meant to him in singing the piece
Good advice!👏🫶 This is so important and so many reactors fail to do this. It makes such a difference for so many reasons. It doesn’t need to be read to the listeners, but just by the reactor, for himself.
He is mesmerizing and incredibly talented in both vocals and living in the song! Please go down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole of everything from broadway to opera to metal. Your reaction was the most thoughtful and insightful I've heard. I think you knowing the backstory of the Agony of the Garden brought that insight. Thank you.
Loved your reaction! Yes it is an amazing performance. Dan is extremely versatile and sings from all genres. I'd like to suggest "Battle Hymn", a Manowar cover and "For All". Looking forward to more Dan reactions from you, thank you
Thank you 😊 and I’ve saved you’re recommendations , 100% thier will be more , ok 10th December “ Amazing Grace “ 😊 I hope you and every one will enjoy , it’s going to be a good journey 🙌☺️
Congratulations, you found Dan! Thanks for the great reaction. Dan is an outstanding singer who serves all genres at the highest level. I would be happy to hear more reactions to Dan: Burn Butcher Burn, Son of Pain, Bring Me To Life and many more 😉
Gabi 😊 I think you can be guaranteed more , in fact 10th December is amazing Grace ‘ I may even premier and live stream ( first time ever ) just to share with what seems to be some very kind and generous people 😊
Another Epic performance by Dan. If you haven’t seen his Phantom of the Opera, please check it out, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for your reaction to this amazing singer.
Yes, I have seen this video and they both have beautiful voices. Dan has two videos, The Phantom of the Opera which he sings with Draqica and The Music of the Night which he solos. I recommend you watch his Music of the Night. Not only is his voice amazing, but he makes you believe he is the Phantom. I think it’s this ability to actually become the character, that sets Dan apart from other singers. Watch and enjoy! Again, thank you for your reaction to Dan.
Thank you for your reaction to Dan Vasc. He is the singer of a band named Fearless. He has covered many, many songs and they are all epic. Some suggestions: Amazing grace Bring me to life Make a man out of you (Mulan) Nessun Dorma Number of the beast Burn butcher burn (Witcher) The music of the night (Phantom of the opera) Have fun listening to this phenomenal artist!
Welcome to the rabbithole. He sings all kinds of music: opera, rock, metal, ballads, disney, whitcher songs .... I think we all love him for his facial expression and surely for his unbelivable voice❤❤ Greetings from germany
Greetings from me to you and one of my favourite countries 😊 I think I saw a little of what people see ( fans more so ) the all round performance and a great bounce 😊 I’m looking forward to the journey down that Rabbit-hole very much 😎👍
Good reaction. Dan Vasc (pronounced Vask) is amazing. You're quite right. He is a performer but he's one that puts his whole being into what he is singing - whatever it is. You may want to react to his singing of Nessun Dorma. His father was Italian and he sings this as a tribute to his father who had passed a little while before. The camera is further away in this song because he knew that he was going to get really emotional. Heartstrings had me holding my breath.
@@romypie3725 Thanks. I wasn't sure. I did hear that the Italian was on Dan's father's side through his Italian grandmother but, either way, it's a language with which he's familiar.
Amazing breathtaking performance by Dan, great reaction. Dan is phenomenal in everything he does, just like Dimash. I admire both of them. Do you know Ren? It's also fantastic.❤
If you look at my reactions playlist on the channel you will see REN , DIMASH, Diana Ankudinova 😊 probably 30 reactions between them , and so many more you might like 😊😎
Thanks so much for reacting to this epic performance from Dan. He is a consummate artist who sings from every genre of music. Would love to see your thoughts on more of his covers, he has sung from opera to heavy metal and everything else between. 🎶🌟🎶
Yes, curious and intrigued are better than excited because they ARE more rational. Way to go! Looking forward to seeing more reactions to Dan's music. I love your final caution that reminding us that he's a performer and this is what he does. You just got yourself a new subscriber 🎉
Anne , thank you , I am genuinely always happy when someone one puts their trust and curiosity together and joins this little but passionate Corner of the internet 😊 yes it seemed appropriate to remind myself that he is a performer not to be confused with that’s who he is only 😎😊
@@alan-reacts65 That is unfortunately the case often with Dan's "vintage" female fans (of whom I am one but I try to be more rational). People see what he is willing to share publicly and then make assumptions about his private life based on that.
@@alan-reacts65 To understand a bit more of who Dan Vasc really is, perhaps react to his cover of Elvis's Love Me Tender. I think that you may be pleasantly surprised. Listen from the beginning when he is talking.
I'm impressed that you addressed the religious controversy about this song and rock opera in a balanced way and also pointed out how it causes one to think about the humanity of Jesus. And then addressed Dan Vasc's performance (Vasc pronounced as in "task"). He has incredible range and vocal techniques which he worked for years to strengthen. He delivers this and other works from his studio at home in Brazil. He has over 200 videos out there on you tube which he has produced over several years as he went from an excellent singer to phenomenal. He did "Amazing Grace" ( he has stated he is a Christian and put it out for Easter) and "Number of the Beast" and "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Adeste Fideles" and many others. He is a metal singer and when he does a song that is not metal he tends to gild it in metal. I'm hoping you will enjoy more from this incredible artist.
I’m not shocked but I am somewhat surprised and glad to be told today at the sheer body of work that Dan Vasc has put out for us all to enjoy 😊 being as I’m brand new to him , I’ve got some great ( I believe) experiences to come and somewhat selfishly, I get to share them here 😊 and to bringing my thoughts in a balanced way , I think if I were to just go for either “ shocked “ or anything else other , I believe you guys would see right through that and I’d be embarrassed to even go down that path , I don’t want a channel that isn’t at least thoughtful and respectful, even when I might not fully appreciate a song I appreciate the art 😊
Great reaction to this incredible performance. Dan can sing anything with his vocal range. Bring Me to Life will blow you away, as well Amazing Grace like you've heard it before. Subscribed and anxious to hear more of Dan's music.
a great reaction! He puts his all into everything he sings. You won' be disappointed with any of his covers. Try TOSS A COIN TO YOUR WITCHER or BURN BUTCHER BURN
I'm a little late to this party, but I have subscribed to your channel. I very much enjoyed your reaction and look forward to more from Dan Vasc. He likes to throw little twists and turns into his covers (not always, but they are fun). I love his 80's covers and some even before then. I'll leave a few that I haven't seen in other comments. Stairway to Heaven & The Immigrant Song (Led Zeppelin), Faithfully (Journey), Sweet Child 'O Mine (Guns N Roses), I See Fire (Ed Sheeran from The Hobbit), The Last Goodbye (Billy Boyd - The Hobbit) and last but not least, Time To Say Goodbye (Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman cover) which he sings with Rehn Stillnight.
Loved your reaction. Dan is a Brazilian rock singer and usual sings what has meaning for him, what brings power. I am sure you will appreciate his choices. The number of the beast is his last release and it's very very good. By the way Vasc sounds like Vask...
@anneliherslof Amazing Grace will be next 😊 I love it , and look out later in December I’ve got another version of Amazing Grace from 1971 .. if you don’t already know it 😊😎
❤❤Dan can sing anything from opera, rock, metal, theatre and has been classically trained and writes and edits and everything inbetween absolutely awsome, he is from Brazil i can't believe he isn't world wide, he has chosen not to be signed by any record deals he wants full control🎉🎉
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to this magnificent performance. Great art is thought-provoking, and this piece is and always has been that. :) For me, shying away from Jesus' humanity does Him a disservice and minimizes the full sacrifice He made. One thing you said that got me thinking is that it was performed like an inner dialogue. I thought that was so profound given that Jesus is also fully God. Wow.
Dan does a wide variety of covers, and he's a Christian, a Methodist, in fact. I found his channel three years ago, through The Sound of Silence, and since then, I've listened to everything on his channel. Check out The Number of The Beast, Amazing Grace, his Christmas covers, the DragonForce covers, Tale With No End(an original song with his band Fearless), Dawn of Victory, Beyond Belief, and whatever else catches your eye. There's not a single bad song on his channel. Keep the Dan reactions coming!
I’m going to have such enjoyment going on this journey 😊 I can’t believe all the amazing sharing by everyone in the comments , all just encouraging me to Carry on learning and teaching me about his range his story 😊 thank you
Other people will probably have you covered on suggestions on where to go for a deep dive on Dan Vasc, so I'll comment instead on the play itself. I'm not a Christian and I've seen this play a few times in my life, with very talented performers as well, and while I liked it well enough, Dan's performance got emotions out of me that no other performance of this song ever has. It actually made me cry when I did my reaction on my own reaction channel. Because whether you're a believer or not, it's a powerful story, masterfully presented here. I really enjoyed your thoughtful commentary, and see that you've also covered Ren's music, so I'm off to check out those reactions. Hope you have a lovely day, good sir. :)
The play first appeared in 1971 , the soundtrack was the best selling album in the USA of 1971 whilst “ bridge over troubled was the best selling album in the Uk , it looks like as is common , Anglo American cultures worked both ways , I have to confess ( as I said in the reaction ) I’ve never been drawn to explore but maybe I should 😊 thank you and I’m going to check out your channel , sharing 😊😎
I've just watched your reaction so had better say - Welcome to Vasc Nation! It's a rabbit hole you most definitely won't regret going down and you will be amazed what he does, across all genres and to exacting standards it has to be said. You were right, that is the Iron Maiden cover you spotted but if you want to see a metal cover I'd begin with 'Amazing Grace' as that's a great place to start. It's not heavy per se but completely enthralling. If you want heavier I'd go for an Evanescence cover 'Bring me to Life' There are so many to choose from but an opera suggestion is 'Nessun Dorma' For another captivating performance 'Music of the Night' from Phantom and then there are the songs from 'The Witcher' which he turns into something spectacular. I can't imagine you will be disappointed with anything from Dan - he even does Handel's Hallelujah Chorus as a one man choir - No I'm not joking! I'm intrigued to see where you go next but as I'm now subscribed, hopefully I won't miss anything!
I just caught your reaction to Dan Vasc's Gethsemane, and found you to be very thoughtful and respectful in your remarks so thank you for that. Dan is a self-announced Christian so his performance reflects that part of his multifaceted being. You are in for one of the most glorious explorations of a musical artist who EVER picked up a microphone! He is spectacular in everything he does. He produces all his videos in his home and sings all of the harmonies unless he has a guest singer. I look forward to seeing your journey as you discover his genius. ☺
Alan, I found your channel looking for more Dan Vasc. Your analysis is intriguing. I am now a subscriber. Dan is a force. Other songs you MUST check out these others by Dan: The Music of the Night (Phantom of the Opera). I'll Make a Man out of You The Number of the Beast Amazing Grace Angels We Have Heard on High Battle Hymn
Fabulous reaction! I'm subbing to you now and am looking forward to December 10th. Dan Vasc is probably the most versatile, powerful, and beautiful vocalist on the planet. I fell in love with his voice 5 months ago. Dan said that when he listens to a song, he hears the metal version in his head. A great example is his duet with Violet Orlandi on "Kiss From a Rose." I loved Seal's original version but prefer Dan's metal arrangement. He also does a great duet with Fabio Lione on "Dawn of Victory," backed by Dan's band, Fearless. I highly recommend both, but you really can't go wrong with any of his covers. They are all as good as or better than the originals. Dan is 34, Brazilian, and speaks Brazilian Portuguese. He's fluid in English and sings in several different languages. Check out his versions of "Adeste Fidelis" and "Angels We Have Heard on High" for Christmas. Dan arranges each song, lays down the tracks, videos himself, edits, and mixes them in his garage studio. He does everything himself on most videos and gives credit to those who do assist him. Be sure to listen to any intros or outros. You'll enjoy his accent and what he has to say. (He's also a big retro gamer and has a separate gaming channel, if you're into that.) I hope you've subbed to his channel and will explore his extensive catalog. He is absolutely phenomenal. Welcome to Vascnation! Your life just got better. Enjoy!
Thank you ☺️ for subbing it really means a lot to me , being a secret ( well not so much ) metal head , I think it’s really going to be a great experience going forward 😊😎👍
I 💯 agree with everything you said! I've been drawn into "Dan World" since Amazing Grace and really regret not having known about him before then. I always enjoy your comments 😃😉
@@margijohnson5728 Margi, I think it’s difficult for everyone to realise just how much and how rewarding it is to get input from everyone in comments , so much so that I think I’d rather stay at the size my channel is now , simply so I can enjoy reading and replying and having conversations about new music ( to me ) .. so thank you ☺️ I really appreciate your support 😎
You will find that Dan has an incredibly wide range of music that he can sing. His covers from the Phantom of the Opera are just magnificent. He does nessun dorma from Turnodout (?sp) as beautifully as Luciano Pavarotti. He does metal covers of the songs from The Witcher series on television which are absolutely fantastic. The thing is I'm older I never liked metal until I heard this guy. He even does a acoustic version of a Scottish folk tune Lake lamode or something like that. I've come to understand that there pretty much isn't anything that this young fella can't do. Enjoy the rabbit hole.
Dan is Christian. He has also sung Amazing Graze. ( sorry my wrongspelling). He has also his own songs on RU-vid with his band Fearless. Love to you Sir from Norway❤
Welcome to Norway 😊👍 your spelling is good as is your English 😊👍 if you look at my channel playlists , thier is one of DAN , and I hope you will enjoy 😊👍👍👍
I absolutely hope til react to dan vasc amazing grace ❤❤❤ it hooked me months ago and have been a Dan super fan ever since! I've loved watching his old and new covers as well as songs from his band, fearless ❤ please enjoy his cover of amazing grace ❤❤❤ you'll thank us haha
Victoria 😊 as a thank you to everyone and because I did wonder ( without knowing at the time ) if he had covered Amazing Grace” so in return the 10th December is Dan Vasc “ Amazing Grace” my reaction and attempt at analysis 😊 thank you
Seeing this title it got stuck in my head as i heard it before , and finaly remembered its an episode in Babylon 5 . Funny how some words and titles that are quite unusual popping up in different genres . And have some realy deep meaning.
@@alan-reacts65 They are making a reboot . with story lines that where still open . Als also they made an animated movie the road home . quite exiting actually .
The best way I can describe any of Dan's videos is that I turn them on while I'm doing something else like painting or writing. But what happens is his voice and performance commands my full attention and I have to stop whatever else I'm doing to focus 100% on Dan. It doesnt matter that I've seen this video ten times or a hundred...it still has that effect. As for a glimpse of Dan, watch his apology video. I think it provides a glimpse of who he is. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bQdFynZxSUQ.htmlfeature=shared
l love dan's voice and his vocal range and breath control be mad crazy he does everthin from opera to metal and be the lead singer in his band called fearless l listen to dan both solo and with fearless on spotify and amazon music he done a wicked good job with it but l still prefer ted neeley's version oh and ian gillan from deep purple also done a wicked good version too
