That ear flip at 4:02 was ear candy. These two gentlemen are fire in this. Dan added just the right amount of grit in just the right places. Dan and Garrett Peters took this sad mournful song and turned it into a celebration of joy. Someone said "don't be sad it ended. Be glad it happened." That's what they did with this.

Thank you for your response to this impressive cover. Dan and Garrett rocked it fantastically. I didn't like the movie Titanic myself, but that cover wow...I have no words for it. And yes, I also noticed in "The number of the beast" that Dan gained muscle mass. Hopefully he doesn't overdo it.

We have you converted. I wasn't a fan of this song at the time, it was overplayed. But This version..... Only Dan Vasc could make this tragic ballad a Rock anthem and a damn good one at that. I like this so much better. Hail Vasc-Nation ❤️🤘✝️

The battle of the hair flips...love the expressions Dan had at several points. Great music and vocals. Interesting I agree the song grabbed your attention from the first note and drive it home. Loved the upbeat tempo which was approximately 1:20 shorter than the original. Great reaction by you and the cute pup. He knew it was a Dan song so he hung out with you.

I'm totally with you about not being a fan of the original. There are so many songs that Dan has covered that I really didn't care for the originals, but with his takes on them, I have enjoyed so much: this one (My Heart Will Go On), Poker Face, I'll Make a Man Out of You, Kiss From a Rose, etc...
What a gift Dan is. He takes a sweet sad love song and makes it a power anthem. But his vocals are what shines. Dan doesn't do covers. He makes them a Dan original. Love your reaction, as always, and appreciate your support for him. You may or may not be a Nightwish fan, but Dan does several of their songs, and his vocal skills are so amazing on these. I’m so happy you got to this one so quickly-I’ve been watching for you to post. It’s kind of interesting that you named off three vocalists that I don’t want to hear, either. I never saw Titanic, I mean, I already knew what was going to happen in the end, so I only knew the intro (I randomly chose it as my daughter’s ringtone without knowing anything about it). Because I didn’t know the song, I had to listen a few times to catch the lyrics, but I was loving the musicality of it from the first note. Dan posted hints of what the song would be as they recorded it and indicated what he thought would physically happen to the listeners when they heard it. That was a trip in and of itself! Thanks, Josh! To hear a difference side of Dan, you might like to check out his rendition of Loch Lomond or Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme.
