Dan each time I hear him do a cover, 'Mulan' for example. I want to somehow go back and have Dan as the original. 'Amazing Grace' same. 'Burn Butcher Burn' - 'I'll Make A Man Out Of You' SAME. My goosebumps, have goosebumps! 💜💯 BUT more is the person he IS. Warm, genuine, sweet humor. His Dad would be so proud of him! Out of this world.

I, too, watched the Disturbed version. While, both versions follow the same musical flow, I prefer Dan's rendition of it. I think the tone of his voice is better. One of the things I love the most about all of Dan's covers is the fact that it is just him singing. No matter what song he sings, I can feel the message of the song simply from his voice, facial expressions, and his use of the instrumentals. He always manages to convey the true message of the song and evoke the necessary emotions.
I'm obsessed and addicted to his voice, as well, and keep wanting to listen to more! His cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" is my new current favorite (I've been singing it - in my head - all day).

Being in my late teens when Simon & Garfunkle were making it big, this song was THE song! I love this song, however, I feel that Dan puts more emotion and heart into his rendition making it more than just a pretty song. Brilliantly done! Thanks for your great reaction!
As always, love your reaction. I can only say, i grew up with S&G singing this song, and always thought it was so beautiful, but the first time I heard the Disturbed version, was also the first time I felt, that I really understood what it really was about. BUT, then came Dan, and while he is in fact singing the Disturbed version, he's putting his own emotion into it, and in fact his own introversion, and finally i feel this song has landed where it belongs.
Gethsemane, metal daze, battle hymn, stand my ground....there's no bad song of Dan the way he can sound like Steve Perry when he sings journey and sound like David drainman in this song it's crazy

This is the first Dan song I ever heard, on 9/15/20, and it still gives me chills! It’s also the only song that hooked me on an artist after just one song. I must say that in watching other reactions videos of this song cover by Dan and the comments that were made, that he was just mimicking Disturbed singer's style, I am very pleased that Dan sung just the way that it should be, hard and non apologetic! Why shouldn't he show, the mastery he possesses in his voice? Besides, Dan's voice is much sexier.❤️ ... Agreed 💯! I've heard all three versions in my life, S&G were phenomenal musicians, Disturbed's version was very good, but Dan's rendition grabbed my soul! And as you posted, Dan's voice is much sexier, as he himself is as well❤ I don't know if he deliberately does that, or if it is an inherent quality in his voice and his own self.

I know it is probably tough to choose what to listen next, without actually watching it, and not spoil our impression with you. I can recommend "fairy tale" latest one, as the song he goes absolutely insane, and almost rips himself in half for the delivery he strikes us with.

I’m in total agreement with you on that words cannot possibly describe what you and I experienced before,during and after that song. A divine gift !!! Dan Vasc has incredible vocals and a very rare talent So happy to know that I’m not the only person who is literally affected by this song in the best kind of way

I loved the Disturbed version best until I heard Dan sing it. Though there are very subtle differences…I agree… Dan did follow pretty closely on this one. I guess I just prefer Dan’s voice. There’s also a tiny catch or break in Dan’s voice when he sings the word “cancer” and I can’t help but wonder if he was thinking of the loss of his Dad due to cancer at that moment. Now when I listen to the Distubed version, although still amazing, that little catch in his voice isn’t there and I miss it.
I think Dan has trouble getting on some play lists because I'm not sure he buys recording rights from the copywriters. My hubby was in an amazing progressive country band with a CD that won Awards in the indie market. But only 1 song was an original that they owned the rights to. So it was the only song that could be played & the CD couldn't be sold! Rights are usually expensive & I've heard Dan bemoan trying to work around them. Just my thoughts. 😊
This version of Dans is unquestionably magical.🥰 I listened to Disturbs version right before this reaction. I 💯 percent feel Dan’s is well above Disturbs version.
To me this is Dan doing Disturbed. He does it very well but it is their version. I wish he had done his own take on the song. I know he has it in him. I am a huge fan. But that doesn’t mean i need to love all the songs the same. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Being brought up on S&G I adore the original as it is. Love both the interpretations by Geoff Castellucci and Tommy Johansson as well as The Fox& The Hound. Disturbed have me shudder. I've tried it as everybody seems to love it, but no, it's not for me. This by Dan Vasc I can totally embrace and put on my playlist.
