These old tunes now represent a staggering 72% of the market. The current music industry monopolies undermine a free market and make it even more difficult for independent artists to sustain their career. However, synthwave is tricky, it's old new songs, which brings a familiar but unknown nostalgia to our ears. Today's commercial music is on the decline with their lack of creativity. While, real artist with real talent are pushing boundaries to deliver great music. Nostalgic music makes people remember how great everything was back then. But synthwave music makes you wonder how great our timeline could have been. So since our reality is piling factors which makes it more and more stressful, synthwave music symply sounds like "hope", in our absurd era.
