I really like how Colbert talks about the obvious things that people are involved, in this case Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) but, he also gives atention to the personal projects of the people being interviewed. I think that's why he's one of the best.

Considering that it was an all-Black cast, I think he was mocking that white people historically took on MUCH different roles but Broadway is in New York, Hollywood is in California so I don't know what that has to do with anything.

I love her energy and spirit, man. It's like everyone around her just love her, like I'm going on a walking dead cast interview binge and I see the way they look at her and interact with her, and really respect her, especially Andy and Norman(I love how the three of them are the best of friends). She's really down-to-earth, but at the same time just out of this world. I really am starting to look up to her. I want to sit down on a park bench and just have a discussion with her. I would really love to get inside of her head.

Shakaama Also, he hasn’t figured out that Africans and African Americans are not the same. She corrected him to state she basically hires only Africans from the continent. They don’t care for black Americans because of the US media.

It's not racist, it was just a joke. It's got an all black cast and mostly women. He was in no way implying white privilege, he was actually mocking it. He's actually making fun of racism.

Also, Broadway is in New York and generally refers to plays, Hollywood is in California which is primarily FILM studios so those two aren't really comparable.

I like the fact that she corrected African American by saying "they are African actually, from the Continent" South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya. Note: I am not saying is bad to be referred as "African-American". We Africans, NEED the recognition and show to younger African generations how amazing they could be. This is why its Important to state the difference.
