This is Pamela Blair the original character and who's story this character is based on. However, she did not ever have any surgery she was giving this song to sing because the producer liked her as a performer. It was another performer who had the surgery. This is my cousin, i remember the whole family being so excited and proud of Pam. Those were the days love you Pam
The woman who this story is mostly fashioned after is Mitzi Hamilton, who eventually took the role to London , on tour and on Broadway for several years.
When the musical was first on broadway, the show was called, "Tits and Ass." Then they changed it to "Dance 10 Looks 3" because it did not broadcast the joke. @Selendomono - in the 70s, there were shows like Hair (it had a nude scene). Hair hit broadway in 1968, but it was still being performed in the 70s.
@@theoperatripleaxel5417 Season 2 Finale, Mom Vs. Magic. They actually have a lot of broadway actors on that show, loke the Original Amy from Company, Beth Howland, played in the Cat Show episode.
This is not the Broadway original. Totally different voice. THIS is the original Broadway recording: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G0UIaxxMe2Y.html
You are delusional... BLAIR was/is magnificent. Period. Especially in this role AND she created it from LIFE! The OBC was perfection while that 2006 revival was a travesty acted by a group of mediocre actors attempting to copy these folks from 1975!
From what Mitzi Hamilton said in a recent interview. The story was Pamela Blair's and the song was about Mitzi Hamilton. I saw Mitzi Hamilton perform Val on Broadway and she was great! 💗😊
I am pretty sure the reason it was the revival to be reimagined and if they were too scared to do it in a different version, it would not have been out there. So many reasons people don't love the revivals but copying is probably not the real reason.
