I don't know who the Staples Players are, and, I usually find amateur productions... amateurish. Yes, I know; it is snobbish, but, I saw this, and it seemed to be something else. As I said, I've no idea who did this, but, I began watching and was riveted - a REALLY well done job by all involved!
Not sure I like this Tony, seemed a little anxious. I'm used to seeing Tony in this scene being somewhat calm and meditative, like his reality is suspended. He kept leaning over Maria. He's supposed to be taller, but he's supposed to hold his space before going in for the kiss. I liked having this nebbish woman with glasses playing Gladhand. It's a cool touch.
