The group does generally cite this routine still as their most difficult - it certainly appears quite aerobic to me (which, of course, is not quite the same thing). One RU-vidr, Ploopy678, learned the choreography for all of Dreamcatcher's title tracks through Boca and did place Scream as more difficult. (She has a convenient chart at 17:45 of her Dreamcatcher video on the topic.) Third (according to her) is Good Night which has a striking intro (as you know already), and so I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on that track soon.
Very interesting thoughts! I would honestly think that their track Maison (when done in it's proper "fullness" would come across as more difficult, but I also know that they never really did that one as "full out" as the context of the choreo would suggest!) Good Night was a really fun one!
The proper Dreamctacher marathon begins! Looking forward to your take on their evolution and the choreographer switch, especially as it came at a time when their sound (and budget - hello backup dancers!) were also changing.
I have no concrete basis for this, but I sort of think that part of the reason they rate this one harder is likely because of the style shift from minx, along with just experience. I don't do dance myself, but the lack of similar acts in kpop to check out to sort of get a vibe of how stuff should look or little things to notice would mean that they had to develop all that themselves (with their trainers/choreographers and stuff too), which all told would make it more difficult. Every group has to build their own style, but it feels to me a little like they had less around to build off of which makes it harder in some ways (makes it easier in some ways too, since you don't have to try to make yourself look different from a bunch of other groups).
dreamcatcher \:D/ a lot of gen4+ groups don't sing live so the focus is more on dance, the visual presentation. there are groups that almost never sing live. in contrast, dreamcatcher almost always sings live so their choreo is limited to what can actually be performed with live singing.
14:17 It's interessintg that you pointed out this part in specific about being hard to know who is singing. The member in the white shirt is called HanDong, she is chinese and at that period she wasn't so good at korean, so in this song she just sings one line in the pre chorus. This line in here is actually sang by other member and she just lipsync it in the mv and in the dance practice(nowadays she sings it in stages and also in the japanese version of it). It was a funny concidence. And also, the member who goes down is called Yoohyeon and for some reason I always find so funny how she goes down as if she is a trying to say "Hey, I'm here. Don't forget about me".

Great video, very detailed and balanced being nice while critical. I'm curious how you evaluate their progression over the years. I see you have 20 hidden in the playlist so probably you recorded a bunch and release slowly, great idea. I'm looking forward to You and I, Full Moon, Deja Vu and Boca especially. If you don't have them in your list yet, be sure to check out everything choreographed by SuA, the main dancer. I wonder what you think of Copycat and Tadow (a collab with a CLC member). Be sure to also check out their relay dances, they really make something fun. Their relay dance cover of Abracadabra (by Brown Eyed Girls) is just epic fun.
So I have officially finished recording all of the title track choreography analysis! I will be starting the b-sides this time tomorrow with the inclusion of some of their side choreography concepts and lives! Woohoo!!

When I actually went ot look, the other two were partially covered within the transition so the one that was spiotted first was because she wasn't concealed in any way! Interesting!
First video so not sure what your current release schedule is like, but here are two “case study” dance practices of other groups for some things mentioned in this video that might be interesting if you have time or to add to a future list: -In regards to even vs odd, Twice’s Feel Special has two official videos of their dance practice, an 8 member version that was modified after a member had a hiatus, and a “complete” version with the full 9 member choreo. There also might be a fan video that has the videos together in a combined view. -Twice’s Fancy is notable for how often it uses a “feature moment” in the choreo when ping-ponging through the line distribution. Hope to see more videos in the future; can’t wait to see your thoughts when you get to the Dreamcatcher full crew choreographies in the future.
