Why are all your comparisons based on Dance Moms though? Why not actually use the standards of the dance form? No hate to the girls of Dance Moms though, I watch it sometimes but they're really just not close to Briar's level.
@@jantro8480 omg 100% agree she is so versatile!!! Briar could be too if she knew how to connect to her music and create a story. She always loses herself to all the tricks
It’s interesting too see her at 16, when she was struggling with serious health issues and seizures when dancing, she did not let her affect her performance at all ❤️
It triggers me that you ever thought that the dance moms girls were the best when personally imo all of the actual ALDC girls besides Maddie was average at best. I personally know at least 100 dancers who are better than any of those girls and not personally wow there is thousands of young girls better in so many ways. Tate Mcrae, All the Club Dance girls: Bostyn, Kalani, Brynn, Simrin, Carlee, Jaycee, Jenna, Dylyn, hundreds more, Aysia Ianeiro, Mia Maxwell, Ella Horan, Lucy Valleley, Lauren, Briar, Eva Igo, Autumn Miller, Sophia Frilot, Dylan Blackburn and all the other P21 dancers. If you are a dance teacher you should probably check out all these amazing dancers because they are the girls in the dance moms girls age group that are actually super talented and tda winning as well as other major comps.
MultiFan I agree - ALDC were extremely sub par - except for Kaeli Ware, Brynn & Kalani & Elliana - Abby knew this which is why she brought them in to make originals look good
My point was AT THE TIME OF THE SHOW AIRING they were the best being displayed on the internet. NONE of the dancers you listed would have a platform or be getting the attention they got if it wasn't for Dance Moms making Child Dancers a popular media sensation again for the first time since the 1940's. The only Dancers you listed who were dancing in the industry before Dance Moms were Jaycee Wilkins and Autumn Miller was doing 'Trick Tips' with her Mom on RU-vid, and was NOT at the same calibre as the dance moms girls at that time. NOW that Dance Moms, SYTYCD Kids, AUDC, WOD have all aired, there are PLENTY OF AMAZING dancers in the spotlight, but NO, before Dance Moms, there were NOT amazing child dancers in the spotlight, and MOST of the dancers you listed actually GOT THEIR FAME FROM DANCE MOMS or hanging out with the ALDC kids.
AT the time the show aired, the ALDC originals were the BEST child dancers ON TELEVISION (not the best child dancers in America), after a few years, they were able to get better technical dancers BECAUSE of the show. Sure Kalani and Brynn are amazing and they were amazing dancers BEFORE Dance Moms, BUT if it wasn't for AUDC and Dance Moms, nobody would have any clue who they were.
Also let’s not forget my fave Kaeli Ware - beautiful dancer - please do a review of her - better yet compare these proper dancers with ALDC dancers - Maddie way overrated & propping up her dance with Charlize & Sage
Other amazing Candian Dancers: Tate Mcrae, The Tran Sisters, Devon Brown, Myles Erlik, Taylor Hatala, Reese Hatala, and Bella Klassen. Most of them are from the west coast!
OMG YAS IM 3RD COMMENT PLS PLS PLS DO MYLES ERLICK HES HER BOYFRIEND SO CAN U PLS DO HIM AND THANK YOU FOR DOING BRIAR IVE BEEN AASKING IT A LOTT SO TABKS YOU
It’s crazy that briar was originally a gymnast. And then found her love for ballet. And through that she incorporates her gymnast/acrobatics tricks and stamina through her knowledge of ballet and technique. That’s a main reason why she’s such a good dancer.
Wow she's amazing! Her solo at the Dance Awards (around the 2 minute mark) reminds me of a Sophia Lucia solo. I'm so happy that your channel is growing so fast, you'll probably be at 10,000 by the end of the week (if not sooner) and you deserve it!
Her duet Abyss from the next step, when she was like 12, is amazing, it really shows how much control she has. Compared to the dance moms girls, I believe that definitely now she is better. Briar still is so amazing, whereas a lot of those girls have lost a lot of their ability.
Thanks for showing this dance evolution I watch the next step and only knew her as Richelle so cool to see her real name and now I just saw her on World of Dance!
She is such an underrated dancer. I mean I’ve only seen her on the next step tho. She’s so much better than most of the dance moms girls, except Maddie of course xx
your technique can't be THAT bad, if it was, you wouldn't be able to get onto the box of your shoe let alone complete a pirouette! So give yourself a pat on the back lol
First video I've seen from you and I'm already in love! ❤️ I do dance and acro/contortion and I've also been teaching contemporary/lyrical and acro for about three years now. I'm also a total sucker for clean lines, technique, flexibility and original acro tricks 😝 I'm trying to think of some lesser known dancers you could react to... maybe Simrin Player's contemporary stuff - her solo "she lives" is amazing - or Gaya Bommer Yemini's "cartoon girl" - she was featured in "First Position" and has such a unique style and great artistry, it's truly mesmerizing! ❤️
you should react to dylan ratzlaff! She's so underrated but legit a queen and stunning dancer. Her solo "all I want" is so stunning. ( she's the other girl at 8:16)
Could I borrow a second?? It's been almost 5 years since I've taken a Vocal Lesson and I know I have some SUPER TALENTED friends and colleagues on here! So I am calling upon any of you for your help! I am looking for some Honest Technical Vocal Advice!! I feel that my biggest weaknesses are currently Pitch and Tone (Frequent Nasality) I'm trying to practice and do as much as I can on my own until I can afford a Coach again, (Cause ya know, Surprise, I'm still poor) If you have any technical advice or corrections for me or ANY Masterclass style advice, I'm open to any kind of feedback!! Please feel free to comment on RU-vid here or on my Facebook Page Jordan Jonah Sparks or comment on Instagram instagram.com/jordanjsparks and I'll see it!! (Don't mind the shitty quality, I filmed on my iPhone) Thank you SO much ahead of time for any advice or constructive criticism you might have for me!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--8vkLCCi4sU.html - Jordan
I think I would die if you reacted to the 2015 junior best dancer improv NYC. Maddie competed and her improv was beautiful, I think you'd really enjoy it.
Briar is one of the swiftist dancers I've ever seen. Her dancing talent hasn't changed since young it's only growing. Like other dancer usually decline after they grow up (either from not training enough or whatever) but she keeps on training hard.
If you watch the next step you’ll find out that briars character (Richelle) is very badass and savage and that’s why her dances on tns are never emotional
Honestly I’m from Canada we focus more on the technique then in America who rush and come up with fast concepts to hide there technique. Just something when you said that they were more technical they really aren’t because they push way to fast to hide their flaws. Not saying they don’t have technique just saying we focus on it more in Canada 🇨🇦
I didn’t even know who she was.... I never clicked on this one because I didn’t care and like I said I didn’t know who she even was.... holy shit was I wrong... she’s amazing!!!! Her control and strength is magical... she makes it look so easy which we know it isn’t... but wow... I was wrong to not be interested and thankful you showcases this little star!!! ✌️❤️🌈
oh no!! it's the absolute worst!!!! I have something called Piriformis syndrome that causes extreme tightness in my piriformis, this tiny muscle on the top of my hip/glute, so I am prone to pulling that hamstring OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! :(
when i started watching Dance moms, i honestly didn't think we had.... the following words are so painful to hear. First of all compared to a lot of dancers ALDC dancers are nothing! tate is canadian, jordan clark is canadian, bella klassen i think is canadian, uhm stacey tookey is canadian, jennie pappas is canadian, i think Shannon Mather is from Canada, Blake Mcgrath, Myles Erlick, a lot of great dancers are from canada and a lot of dancers in any place can slay ALDC. uuhhhmmm basically the CDC can easily beat ALDC in any dance competition (except for Sheer-you know why)
My point was when Dance Moms was aired, there were no KIDS from Canada getting any attention that were of the same calibre. Most of those dancers you mentioned were FAAAARRRR into their adulthood (most of the dancers you mentioned I grew up watching and looking up to when I was CHILD myself). The only Dancers that became known from Canada that were younger got noticed AFTER Dance Moms, because there was a trend of showing child dancers in the media at that point. Nobody had any idea who Tate McRae was before SYTYCD unless you grew up in the Calgary Competition circuit. Briar was the FIRST Canadian kid I saw online of the same calibre as someone like Maddie Ziegler. Blake McGrath was my idol when I was a freaking infant, so he definitely was not a child during Dance Moms, infant, he was a Choreographer on Dance Moms for the Candy Apples, and Stacey Tookey has taught me, so also not a CHILD lol.
Lara. Okay Lara. You're taking Canada's best. Now put them up against just L.A.'s best dancers. Not all of America. Teens. Kaycee Rice (the best female all-genre dancer for her age group in the world, and ever so humble about it), Sean Lew ( the best all-around in his age group), Charlize Glass ( so underrated despite her following), Kenneth San Jose ( amazing dancer that also was on the 'Staight Outta Pittsburgh' episode of Dance Moms. And that is only to name a few. To take umbrage against the ALDC because they were on tv is ridiculous. America is better for learning institutions and exposure in these areas than Canada. Why do you think ppl move here away from their beloved home to train in dance with the best world renowned choreographers. Blake isn't teaching in Canada, but here in the U.S. Where the majority of the talent is because of population numbers. Duh. The more more ppl the more chance of talent.
@@JordanJSparks oh well at least i know some of these dancers before dance moms. And i know kalani, brynn, elliana, briar, etc before i knew dance moms. And there is no way that some of them are known because of dance moms. Appreciating young talents started for most people way before dance moms. But we can probably say that because of dance moms some people became more interested in watching dances in the real world.
@@lara-gn6lz First off, I was only talking about Canadian kids. When Dance Moms aired, ZERO Canadian kids were getting Media attention for dancing at the same caliber as kids being featured on Dance Moms. None. If you can think of one, let me know. Also, based on your comment, I think that is just a testament to when you started watching Dance Moms, not a testament to when these girls became known by the public. I started watching Dance Moms in July of 2011. Elliana for example was only 3 years old when Dance Moms started filming, she certainly was not known by the public. Briar Nolet, the oldest of the dancers you mentioned for example started posting her dance competition videos around 2011, the same time Dance Moms was starting up, and she was definitely not well known by the public, she wasn't even well known in Canada or even Ontario at that time. Kalani became a household name on AUDC, before that she was just a competition kid from Phoenix. Yes of course people have always appreciated Young talent, but my entire point was there was no young talent in the media for us to appreciate back in 2011, especially not young Canadian talent!
Jordan Sparks omg yes yes yes please!! Me and my whole studio we all watch your video and you always mention technique and I want tips to be the best on my team!!!
