its actually unbelievable how they've kept the same sound for almost 15 years with all the changes. Tilian is an insane vocalist, jon mess still sounds unreal. Ive been listening to these guys since i was 17 years old and they keep getting better. DGD

First off, this is incredible. Second, i have to say it because i haven't seen anybody comment on this yet, Andrews backing vocals are phenomenal. He needs to be a permanent member.
I always wonder the situation with that. Sometimes he seems like he wants to be in DGD but then he wasnt in photoshoots or meet and greets and stuff anymore. I wish I knew why he hasn't been permanently added. I ask when I've met them but it's just a shrug so it's unsettling 🤣 Could be due to focus on Eidola but idk
Wanna echo what you have here, bro. I love the way that Coheed/Circa albums have those intros and outros that make the album feel as if it is one contiguous act. These guys have the musicality to really make that a good tool in their arsenal.
As a "screaming" vocalist myself, I believe it actually shows insane control on his part. I've thrown myself around stage before and wasted valuable breath, when he's as tight as he is there's no need to add stage presence imo. Plus he seems to have built it up as part of his general character which adds to DGD's lovable charm. I think.........
@@bruhsweet3154 pre recorded as in they weren’t live live yeah, but this one was a live seemingly unedited performance versus TCS2 seemed like they were lip syncing. You can see the slight errors and differences in this performance
Exactly as recorded, its amazing. I'm a bit disappointed at times with the other singer - he's def not as strong and is shakey live. Love the band though. I prefer the former singer for Lemon Meringue.
@@mariejae lemon meringue is hard to sing, Jonny Craig has a very versatile voice. I don’t think tilian can hit all the notes like Jonny but he did his best!
Sorry strawberry’s wake had to be muted, for some reason that song causes the whole video to be blocked. I know reactioners had trouble with that too idk how some circumvented it.
I've had their concert cancelled 3 times. Twice because covid and once because I used a fake ID so this is giving me life after trying to see them for so long now 😂
I can’t believe how good this is, DGD is such an amazing and underrated band, this is one of the best videos of live music I’ve ever seen. Thanks for posting
I can't believe that they all sound so good live!! Can we just appreciate it for a moment how Tilian absolutely killed the bridge in Chucky vs. The Giant Tortoise! 👏👏
Its amazing to see Tilian do Lemon Meringue Tie. I fell inlove with Jonnys version but props for Tilian for trying to keep it close to the original as possible. You can tell its out of his comfort zone by how low he has to go. I guess its also one of DGD's most popular songs so it would be silly for them not to play it
Just my opinion... But I've only just started listening to them about a year and a half. But is there a better band??? Like holy shit they have everything
Been into DGD since Johnny Craig and it has been a weird emotional journey watching their sound shift and evolve over the years. I was really hesitant to fuck w/ the sound Tillian brought but I finally accepted that everyone has a right to grow and each stage of their sound has been 👌🏾 truly amazing
Anybody know what Will Swan is using now? I remember he had a pretty big pedalboard for a while there but when I saw them in Atlanta he has what looked like a Midi-selector
I actually have a Spotify playlist of these types of bands because I couldn't really find a specific genre lol Here's the link: open.spotify.com/playlist/53CSR0BaiNwyebftPreXaj?si=zWyREtmRR_u5eKnC1js26Q&
