Yes...The violinists were forced to play whilst bodies were being burnt..knowing that this was the last time they would play..as they were next... The song describes how memories of music ,dancing, love, family was all they had left..until the end..of love..or life... Also being in the Camps..it is easy to imagine that they felt it was already the end of Love..as they were surrounded by Evil and Hate..
