77 here also. My deceased Filipino husband could outdo me in dance any day. Watching this soooooooo reminds me of him. There wasn't a dance he could not do or learn with watching only once-- ballroom, line, anything❤️I'm sure he is dancing away in heavenly bliss❤️🙏✝️
I have noticed tha the greatest majority of dance videos are done to 60's rock, when music was MADE to be danced to, and this couple besides being damn good seem to be having a good time doing it! Rock on!
Too right. I not only lived through the 60's but play in a 60's revival band and people of *all* ages love to dance to it. That said, there was plenty in the 70's/80's that you could/can dance to! 😉😉
I'm 76 and this was one of my favorite songs when it came out. SO glad this couple worked out a routine for dancing it. It's so simple us SENIORS could learn to do it in my Senior apartment exercise class. It would also be so much FUN. Thanks guys, you brightened my day. That guy moves SO SMOOTH! I love it.
Hey starlight gazer I'm with you on this one. I just hit 70 and I got up and did the twist for the first time in a million years. It's a fun video if it applies happy mothers days from California if it dosent have a great day.
@@michelesherman5660 Hi Michele! I'm way up here near Chicago. I'm in a western suburb. Unfortunately last december I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and both my lungs filled up with water. Had 2 quarts of water taken out so I was able to breath again. I was suffocating. Now I have oxygen all the time. I LOVED watching this video because I would have been doing it with them too but I can't anymore. I tried singing and my chest started palpitating because I just don't have the capacity I had before. I find a way around everything. Can't let life stop me. Thank you .... I have a son and daughter but both live a distance. My son is in Detroit. So I manage with what I have. Being CONTENT is important. I have my lap top so I can visit the WORLD! Keep dancing .... it will keep you young.
I am 61 and taught my oldest Granddaughter a similar dance to this when she was 12. We still do it from time to time and it makes me cry with joy. THANK YOU!!!
You must be the oldest 61yr old I have ever known of if that is your music & dance era. I'm 66 and Disco is what was happening in my era baby from the 70's-80's peace-out.
Well thanks for the insult. Geezus! This was popular when I was a kid with me because my parents liked it. I did as well and when it was shown in a movie my Granddaughter saw SHE liked it also. So we did a routine for her school. My God , you are condescending! @@user-sq5zg3ys5k
This 70 year old lady woke up during the middle of the night with a headache and unable to sleep and now I find I am smiling ear to ear. You both have great moves- I love this. Thank you!
Also very clean, not like some of these so called suggestive dance moves. I am just couple yeas older and we grew up in same generation, so you know how dancing was in our time.
Well, I was feeling a bit blue today so I looked at RU-vid for something that would cheer me up and found this! I remember this song from my childhood. I’m almost 70 years old with aches and pains, BUT, I’m going to learn their dance routine and my day will be cheerful. I love to sing and I love dancing. Thank you both for the happiest I’ve felt all day!
I love this. He was me. I got to go to all the parties because I could do any dance, and I had all the records. You guys are so together. Excellent!!! For a big and muscular guy, your moves are superb; you guys are so in sync and are so comfortable and at ease. That's a sign of great confidence.
oh this takes me back to great memories. i am 76 yrs old, and my girlfriend and i both loved this song, we made up our own steps and never missed dancing to it. we are still friends though far apart!
I, too,am 76 and lived for dancing as a teenager and well up to recently. I adore your routine..the song...and only a few moves I never knew and what like to think I could have... Hope to see more of you both. I have downloaded you to watch you often...Thanks for sharing!;💖💖
I was a WM,Woman Marine , 1965 to '70 during Vietnam . This music got us through. We could dance with the guys and have fun. This dance couple even give each other a Kiss! Great!
From the second the guy started dancing you could see he was an amazing dancer. His body just felt the music and knew the music. BRAVO AND BRAVA to you both.
There’s nothing sexier than a man who can dance? Try two! I hear Sophie is a trans woman. That would explain her over-femmed, girly-girl, almost cartoonish dance moves. At first I thought it was a French thing, but no, it’s really typical of men who choose to be women and have to learn how to fem it up, one overdone wiggle at a time. As for Thomas, whom everyone is mooning about, if he has been a he/she’s dance partner for several years, I rather doubt he’d be into real chicks. Too bad, he’s definitely “doable”.
I’m sorry I can’t agree with this statement. The woman had more charisma and movement in her body and she clearly was enjoying and feeling the music and not once did I feel like the man was dancing with her but rather repeating learned steps it’s really sad that he wasn’t there. In fact, if you watch this a couple of times, you will see that he is looking off to the left and right and out the window but never even getting close to her. A song like this requires physical intimacy. It’s an iconic song and iconic dance, and I was disappointed that there wasn’t more of that between the two of them. I felt like he was holding her back because given the opportunity, she was gonna let loose and have a lot of fun dancing. I try never to say anything negative so I apologize for this, but it’s the other person‘s comment that kind of got me started. It reminded me of a couple I knew years ago where she begged her husband to take dancing lessons with her. He didn’t like the fact that she was spending money for the lessons, but he did agree to it once he talk his friend into doing it as well, so the two couples go to meet this dance instructor and very quickly. The two wives have learned the steps almost immediately, but the boys would rather go drinking afterwards then on the steps oh, they pretended to make an effort just like this guy was but in fact, he’s much better than those two husbands were. About halfway through one of the husband said he was done and he wasn’t going back. Well, it was 100 but not showing up. Of course you know the other husband definitely wasn’t going to show up so now it was just the two women and of course the moon said they couldn’t be dancing with other men so the women had to quit, and there went to dance lessons. It was really sad that they would not allow them to dance with anyone else, because these women love to dance, and this was during the disco era where people switched partners all the time because for one thing very few men could actually disco you could keep a man who can disco dance on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG with probably 30 to 50 different partners. anyway, I do understand that married couples don’t want their spouse to dance with anybody else but back then in the 70s they had clubs where you paid him, the bar fee and dancing was acceptable and well lit, so there was nothing hanky-panky ever going on, and no reason for these men to stop the women from dancing just because the guys didn’t want to dance. I know one of these wives to this day has never forgiven her husband for this because she always says yes to everything sports related he wants to do or anything else. So I guess the thing is, as much as he’s trying I give him credit for that but if he doesn’t really want to dance then with all the chemistry and lose she has she’s always at least a half a bit ahead of him, he should not hold her back if she wants to do more. But I gave her credit for wanting to dance with her husband. They’ll work it out and I think that’s how it should be, just because you’re good doesn’t mean you have to be arrogant about it to your spouse.… As my little daughter used to say “be ye kind.” 😊♥️♥️
Outstanding you two! And I really must say Big Guy, you knocked it sideways! I had to watch this three times, it was so good. I did professional Vocals and Performance in LA for a while. This is totally "Feel Good" what you guys are doing. Thank you for making me smile and Feel Good! Keep Shining Brightly!
There...their...they're. Might want to look those different spellings up before using in a sentence. Just a hint .. this time should be their! Unless of course you meant to say "the".
I first heard this sing performed by the Supremes when they did an album of Liverpool songs in 1965. You both are so great together. I wish you years of joy…and thank you for the happiness that you have brought to my wife and me…both in our late 70s.
WOW! Many people “do the steps” but you’re actually dancing from the inside out: wonderful fluid motion. Thanks for starting my morning with energy and a smile.
Fantastic! This big guy's hip, knee, and ankle action are superb. Look at how relaxed his arms and the rest of his upper body are; he's allowing his torso to just rest on his lower body as he dances. (He's not tensing his muscles. His muscles are completely relaxed, which looks great and increases his stamina-and his body definitely knows exactly where the down beats are, which makes this an absolute joy to watch. It's interesting that he knows how to do that.) He could certainly give chiropractors a run for their money, if not put most of them out of business. That's how joints and muscles were designed to do their separate jobs and, at the same time, work together harmoniously. Wow!
Such beautiful moves!! Made me smile and just pure joy to watch you two!! The young gentleman paid attention to his honey, and it shows in his moves! Beautiful art!!
молодцы! задорно и с настроением!!! я зарядку под ваш ролик делаю. а когда вместо зарядки- потанцую с вами - настроение воо!!! благодарю!!! успехов вам!!!
Beyond fabulous. This so made me Smile. The universe was showing off when you two were made. My Husband and I dance every night whilst we prepare dinner. 💟💟 Australia.
I am 70 and at one time I could dance like this. My dance partner was my sister 's boyfriend. These 2 really made my night. Yup! He has great dance moves. ❤❤❤
Sooo after a really awful day I was scrolling through RU-vid and found this and it made me smile. Super cute and fun and sweet. So beautiful to see two people just having fun and enjoying being together.
I’m so impressed that he dances so well, with great rhythm, but more importantly that he let you video him!!! My husband can dance but is so self conscious that he won’t do it it public. And OMG if he thought I was going to video it, he’d absolutely refuse! So congrats to your guy!! You both looked great together!❤❤❤
Oh boy this made me smile today and gave me joy. What an absolute pleasure to watch these 2 people I am recovering from heart surgery and this dance routine cheered me up no end. Thank you
Praying for your speedy recovery!! Yes, anything cheerful is good to help you improve so keep looking at encouraging and cheerful videos. You will be fine, cuz I'm praying!
Everything about this is just wonderful; this adorable couple radiates charm and personality! Thank you for this, you made my otherwise lousy day much better. Blessings to you!
Your comment is right on target. There is an awesome energy about this couple. It does indeed radiate charm and personality. It's fun to watch ... and the dance steps are great for beginners. I just subscribed so that I can watch more.
I was especially surprised by the males smooth hip movements. Usually it is much more difficult than the females. But he did an awesome job! Bravo guys!....🎶🎶🥳
I'm also 76 and was a dancer back in the day and time but can still click my heels! This was so beautifully done and adorable to watch. I just may go and do my own little dance for myself, maybe to "Don't Stop Me Now" by Mr. Fahrenheit himself, Freddie Mercury. Continue the fun.
Awesome! You would make great teachers! Would love to see a whole group line ensemble with you using your choreography!❤ Love the expression and movements added here; matches the music perfectly! Watching this one over and over again! Barefooten adds to the entire dance, Thomas singing makes it heartfelt and fun as watching, and Thomas avoiding the overhead light with his dance moves show true control of the environment to make the home dance possible. ❤Love it!
@@believeinjesus6972 I do believe in Jesus. Are you suggesting that because I said myself and my three year old were loving dancing together to their routine that in some way I’ve sinned?
Sophie knows that dancing is a visual art and has worked very hard on the visual elements. She has a natural feel for the dance and puts a snap into every move.
I was grinning from ear to ear! Absolutely loved this you were in step, but most of all loved the way Thomas really got into it! Loved the extra finger clicks! BOSS ! Great both of you! Loved the tune! Fantastic!
I'd add a forward step front bow and hands forward shimmy when he sings do you love me, then cross back step into a twirl. Love his slight shoulder shake, hes in his groove then, made me smile thanks.💖💃i danced to this as a kid. Actually got up and danced with you I'm 67yrs and kid comes back evertime i hear this song.
So good to see this! I love it!! :) It's so great to see a man who will actually move his hips when he dances, and really get into the moves!! Great job!
My thoughts exactly. You don't see guys get into it and move their hips like that in a dance. Well done to both of you, loved the routine and both were so in sync and smooth. Sexxy!!
I've watched this over and over! I'm disabled now but I'd soooo love to be able to this dance! So I'm living it thru the two of you! Love yall!♡♡♡☆☆♡♡♡
Great stuff. Totally feel good thing. One of the many things I love about Thomas, apart from the fact that he looks utterly adorable, is that he doesn't have a typical "dancer's" build. He wouldn't look out of place on a building site, or on a rugby pitch. But, great mover. Gotta love a guy who has the moves! 😍😉
Love the good old sixties! Love this song! Love your dance performance! This is a motivation and invitation to us all...dance through this life with Love...no matter what!
AWESOME. I needed a smile today and this was it. Smooth moves on the guy's end, even ducking for the light and not missing a beat. One lucky lady. Good team work.
@@deborahlove1987 women are better at a whole lot of other things than us, so anyway! Thanks for sharing and hope you'll have fun watching this videos 😊
Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT! I dance and can appreciate their interpretation of the music with sometimes crisp and sometimes sinuous movements. Right on the beat. LOVED IT.
Your dancing days will never pass by. I use to teach. I married one of my teachers. My children beg me to teach them. They don't understand what competitive dancing or adjudicated is. They're just happy to "5, 6, 7, &‐". I'm not young & I'm older. I Don't do flips & lifts, but I can be a spotter. You can still dance. This choreography is easy. You can do it & it doesn't require a partner. You could also get a few friends together. Have fun.
That was wonderful. I didn't expect to see such grace and dance form. Your man fooled me. He was in time, graceful and rhythmic. I loved the hips. You both got a Ten👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾keep up with your dancing you make us smile🙌🏾
This was completely AWESOME!!! I agree with some of the other viewers...Thomas' moves were particularly smooth. Your overall synchronization was outstanding!
