hoshi is insane! little fun fact: he worked on the song (with his fellow seventeen member woozi) thinking about the choreo and after perfecting the choreo he even went back into the studio to tweak the song so it could match his vision, he’s just amazing! He’s got a great way of depicting every lyric in his movements

hoshi and dino never being mentioned in the discussion of kpop's best dancers is and will always be a crime. so freaking underappreciated :((

Not sure if this was mentioned in the sea of comments, but HOSHI is also a choreographer. So when you said he knew exactly what was happening and where everyone else is, that is probably because he had a significant part in choreographing the number himself. IT is a truly collaborative effort in most groups with a strong lead dancer, but I am aware that Hoshi has had his input in the team choreography, formations, and planning from the beginning of their career. Thank you for your breakdown and taking the time to showcase this phenomenal performer.

There's a reason he's the Performance Leader for Seventeen!! Hoshi is not on another level, he's on another plane!!!

What's crazy about Hoshi is that he's not just a dancer or a choreographer, he's even good at directing and is very precise with his performances. You'll never see him lacking. He is detailed on the angles, his lines, and his body control is just crazy good. He's very underrated and I really love your analysis of his choreographies, especially since he's involved in its making.

Choreographer Hoshi is always a pleasure to watch. You can usually tell when Hoshi is involved (whether it's heavily or just a little bit) in the choreo for a performance due to his style of musicality. Sucks it's so rare since 2018. Spider really showcases his admiration of Taemin in both song and dance.

As a dancer and choreographer myself, seventeen is my favorite group to watch. I would say watch one of their earlier choreographies “Don’t Wanna Cry”. That performance has so much emotion yet precision behind every move. It doesn’t look like you’re watching kpop.

OMG I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR HOSHI’S SPIDER! This was seriously a whole masterpiece and so underrated. Hoshi is a visionary and the song and choreo came out beautifully together. Hoshi never trained in any particular dance but would copy K-pop choreographies but is now highly recognized for being a talented dancer. His energy and stage presence is really unmatched. Seeing him perform live with Seventeen has been a highlight of my life.

I love how they talk about his hand usage. I remember seventeen talking about how hoshi would ALWAYS ALWAYS be so strict about their hand movements and positions. Very very intentional! His musicality is INSANE!

I have such IMMENSE respect for hoshi as a dancer and performer, he is so extremely professional and a perfectionist but you can still feel his passion for dance and performance through absolutely everything he does, and thats what keeps him so grounded and playful with it all, absolutely HATS OFF for hoshi !! Hoshi is innately talented, with an insane work ethic. He is truly an artist worth watching.

As much as I love Hoshi’s sharp and big movements. I have to give props to his stability and fluidness as a dancer. Sometimes, the basics can be overlooked but Hoshi knows how to use it to his advantage and add just the right amount of flare to it. Love how you described on how grounded he is in terms of balance because I noticed how it brings a whole new vibe to the dance!

When I first saw seventeen 7 years ago I always said that Hoshi would become one of the best dancers in kpop his energy, strength and charisma dancing is unique!! Our tiger is mighty❤

Amazing analysis of all the details and footwork! Hoshi always dances with such power in his movements but you really pointed out how precise he is in all his moves. The long practicing hours really make masterpiece! Hoshi is so talented and absolutely mesmerizing! I'm so happy that professionals who aren't familiar with him have the same opinion! Another recommendation for an impressive dance performance video is Jung Wooyoung's "Bad" performance video he did for Studio Choom for AOTM (artist of the month)! He is a naturally groovy dancer who I think has an affinity for street/hip hop but this performance showcases his ability in clean and sharp moves while still maintaining the charisma and style he's known for!

Also thank you for pointing out his footwork, it really is one of the things I've noticed thus why I ended up liking Hoshi a lot. I would suggest his performance of "Tiger". Within the fandom, he's known to be the guy who likes tigers a lot, and so last year, during 'tiger day', he released the song Tiger, featuring Tiger JK. He's known to imitate animals earlier on, which I think you saw in Spider, and you would also see it in his Tiger performance. I really enjoyed your reaction, and I hope to see more reactions to Seventeen in the future!
