So the main theme is who's the real Maestro between humans and robots. In the mv the theme revolves around the fight between ai taking over human talent signified by the ominous atmosphere in the beginning. They're trying to take back the world from the hold of robots. The guy was glitching (hoshi) is captured by robots. Those blurred instrumens are actually machines which are not listening to the guy trying to control them, he realises this and alerts everyone else. And the rest of them are on a mission here as it says Maestro mission. When that scene of the high note comes at 12:57 they're actually outdoing the robots by their human talent, that's why the high note is so crazy good, it signifies that robots can make things but they cannot match the human talent and speed! Also why it says they're "moving too fast" and "it would not be detected". The pause then happens when everything goes still and Mingyu is running towards the curtains to find hoshi (the captured guy), then we see The8, who comes there to tell him that the mission succeeded and they defeated the robots. After that we get into the last dance break where they dance at an insanee speed, which signifies that human speed and talent can't be matched by machines and humans will always be the real Maestro at the end. The metronome is also moving very fast at 64 beats if I'm not wrong. The mv is like a mini sci fi movie haha
Thank you for decoding the mv, I guessed some things but was not able to put it together. I think what adds to the story is that every orchestra has a maestro, the person standing in front with a baton who coordinates and mostly controls the tempo of the whole orchestra. So when there is no maestro, which is Hoshi, who is captured then there is no tempo signified by the still metronome in the beginning. when humans take control, and the maestro takes the lead then the tempo returns as shown by the metronome building in the last.
7:41 Had to come back to your reaction after watching the bts on SVT’s channel! You called it with the pause in dancing and the quick camera movements 👍🏻 that’s why I like your videos, and at every MV drop I wait for your reaction! it’s so fun to see the MV’s from a professional’s perspective - really love that you try to understand the storyline and it’s not “only” a compilation of cool shots ☺️
I don't know if anyone else has said it but they're criticising the use of AI in art with this song. They're basically saying "Look, I can change up the tempo and genre of music as many times as I want in a song. AI can't do that." When you watch the mv with that in mind it adds on an extra layer to how awesome it is. I got so excited when I saw you dropped a reaction to this. I had to watch it immediately when it came up on my recommended. I love watching your reactions, they're so good and I've learned a lot about editing from watching them.
The behind the scenes were released and you were right about the first chorus. They filmed it by stopping during the choreography and changing the camera angle
you know im learning to edit and ngl seventeen mvs got me into a chokehold as bruh how do the editors accomplish everything..the story, the insane insane visuals ,crazy transitions it keeps you hooked from beginning to the end and these so much to see and learn that have to pause every 5 sec to take it all in and comprehend

Oohh was waiting for your reaction! I was hoping it would be an interview/review with the directors again cause it's the same team from the God of Music MV.
👏🏻🔥🙌🏻 What I love about this reaction: I didn’t think it was possible to enjoy this MV more, but your knowledge and expertise about MV production (which I know ZERO about) and your enthusiasm for the incredible artistry of this piece increased my appreciation exponentially. It’s fascinating to hear all things that actually produce this stunning end result. And it’s a kick to watch you freak/geek out. As a longtime ARMY and a relatively new CARAT, I’m so glad Hitman Bang of Hybe/Big Hit brought his friend (and PLEDIS CEO, Seventeen’s company) into HYBE. Seventeen has always had the talent to make it to the top. Bang and HYBE gave them the resources to dramatically increase their visibility and quality of productions (like this MV). Win/Win
Love how in the behind the scenes you can see they did exactly what you said about pausing the dance to move the camera. Really cool how you caught that
Watch their live performance of Maestro (and their other three new songs) from last week during their Follow Again 2-day concerts in Seoul. Seventeen actually hit EVERY SINGLE BEAT with their feet during the dance break! I was exhausted just watching them! They are just glorious!!
i got to the point where I watch a music video and think omg jordan is gonna be so stoked watching 😂😂😂😂 and this was at the top of the list especially when I saw who made it
I was literally waiting for your reaction!!! The first time I saw the MV, I was like, 'yo, Jordan must see this, this is lit' and yeah, I did watch you enjoy this. Thank you for the analysis and review plus the reaction dude, that was hella fine.😅😅😅
Your reaction are literally the one I've been waiting to understand more of the MV. Your humor, genuine reaction, and ofc your insights are the best one. Much much thank you Jordan. I knew you gonna love svt's MV

PLEASE?!?!?! 🙏🙏🙏 The last one was sooooo good!!! I loved it so much, and learned so much that I would have never even known, which totally made me appreciate the MV 100x more!!! 🤗😘 1:40 Ahhh, well question answered! 🤭 Here's to me hoping it will happen soon! 🤞🤞 I really can't wait!!! 😉
Jordannn I literally love ur vids so much- inspired me to go into music video editing/directing (as a Christian girly it was rlly cool to see another Christian in the industry) TYSMMM
Coming back here after watched the MV behind the scene video, and DUDEE YOU GOT IT RIGHTT for the chorus they actually did pause the dancing and the camera moved and they continued the dancing and then paused again. WOW I DO RESPECT YOU SO MUCH❤
This MV is insane!!! I love this song so much…I watched it like 3 times in a row cuz I couldn’t keep up 😭 Jordan I was waiting for your reaction to this MV the moment I saw it…🫠
i love watching these because it helps me see things i missed previously while watching the mv even if I've watched it multiple times already. thank you. this helps me enjoy the mv even more
You were right! They were pausing at every part of the chorus to get the transitions to how they were seen in the MV. The dedication everyone put into this MV is unbelievable! 😭😭I'm still not over super era but this by far to me is the best era of seventeen I have ever seen! 💗💗
I've been waiting for your reaction. You are one of my favorite reactors who also point some techniques used in MV editing. It makes me appreciate the work more. ^^
Thank you for this! All those details you pointed out made me appreciate Seventeen's MV even more. Shout out to this MV's editors, Kylie and Jihoon! Thank you for giving only the best for Seventeen! 🥰🙌👏🫶
When I watched the MV, I was like "Okay, someone's gonna go crazy watching this" and patiently waited for your reaction video to show up on my algorithm 😂
This was so fun! I was literally rewinding bits of the MV to try to figure out how they did some of the effects. It was great to see everything broken down bit by bit.
@JordanOrme I've been checking every day since this dropped for you to speak in it! I knew you'd love it!

seriosly THIS IS AMAZING I couldn't never imagine that this kind of music video from seventeen but i guess everyhing is possible with seventeen i was so shoked
Thank you for reacting to Maestro! Another example of these dancing AI robots were used in kpop much earlier in mv´s by ONF - Beautiful Beautiful and Ugly dance. Their discography is unique and they used a lot greenscreen in their previous mvs. Definitely recommend checking them out!
LOVED this! As another Carat channel that reacts to MVs we try to find a bunch of details as well, but this is next level 🤣Plus as a video editor too, I learned a lot! Thank you so much. Your enthusiasm is contagious ☺
