When clay mention citirokk, my mind automatically remembered taeyong mentioned the citirokk movement in kick it behind dance practice. Taeyong knew where the original moves from 👏🏻
You have to as an artist and dancer! There's so much that gets taken from other cultures and popularized by white influencers. People don't realize the significance or origin, and sometimes they may be disrespectful.
Can you say who is better than him and what are your reasons. Because I think he is the best simply because I haven't seen other NCT members do such versatile dances as him. He's by far the most interesting dancer in NCT. In my opinion Shotaro, Ten and Jisung (who are regarded the top dancers in NCT) all lack the thing that interests me in dance. Their dancing is so basic compared to Taeyong. Of course this is just my opinion but Taeyong will always be favorite.

a lot of main dancers have very strong dance foundations before becoming trainees, so the fact that taeyong's skills were only developed after he got accepted in the company really goes to show the insane amount of work he put in those 4 years of training and continues to put in till this day! thank you for the video, would love to see more of these type of analysis!

My fav bit of Taeyong-dance-lore is from Kick It - Taeyong is often known for collabing and working with their choreographers to help make NCT's choreo, and the choreographers often praise him for his contributions and for putting his spin on moves, and you can see that directly in Kick It. In the main choreography for the chorus, when their hands are up for 'new thangs', everyone else's hands are in fists (that's the original choreography), but Taeyong has his fingers pointed and his hands open. That part of the choreo is so iconic that whenever someone covers the dance they always do Taeyong's version of the chorus instead of the original version. Without Taeyong NCT would not be who and what they are today, I'm convinced!!
I'm not a dance professional but I'm working in comics and animation industry who stressed on visual expressions and dynamic motion, my opinion about Taeyong, when everybody can dance very well, Taeyong kind of go one step ahead adding dramatic effects in his movements and he do it at the right moment when our attention is at the peak. He's moving according to the persona and storyline of the song and he do it differently in every song he dance, thus creates something refreshing to the eyes in his every performances. Unpredictable, strong, smooth but violent at the same time. Taeyong is one of the person who falls into my uncanny valley (in a good way of course) he's unreal but real.
Taeyong is the main dancer in NCT, he trained and help NCT members when they begin come to SM, including Ten :) but unfortunately, he does not have changed to let people know how perfect he is. TY is the best 🌹👑
I really feel like Taeyong was kind of destined to be a dancer. I mean, at the moment he is one of the most talented and good dancers I’ve ever seen. Just as they said, what makes him an amazing dancer is basically the way he moves, how clean and perfect his moves look, it’s nice and satisfying to see him dancing. Although I am not the best dancer to say otherwise, I really think he found what was deep down hidden in him. He found a passion, and can completely get what kind of passion he has towards dancing cause I have the same love for dancing. And feel proud of him, cause being part of an entertainment in which the rest of the trainees have talent can be overwhelming for someone who hasn’t discovered the talent he had inside. Until now, he proved that you don’t need to be “born” doing something for you to be good at it, if you are passionate about it, then go ahead. It doesn’t matter your age or how much experience you have in that area, if you like it and you want to improve, find a way to be the best. I think more that a talented artist he is an inspiration for those who think that it is “too late” to learn something, it really doesn’t matter.

TAEYONG'S NECK has always been that spotlight you just will never miss when Ty dances...and i finally know the word that makes TY's dance so unique to him and that's PATIENCE..Taeyong is fluid, smooth and so strong but his patience to let the dance just flow naturally to the beat and not focus on 'oh it's time for the next move'..that is so amazing to TY..he is very patient with his fluidness

He is hugely recognized, praised and respected by professional dancers, choreographers and experts in both Korea and Globally. He is a genius idea bank who has given so many of his brilliant creative ideas to Nct MVs , for example - the finger hook/signature step in kick It and the chandelier scene in make a wish. Pointed to everything that's characteristic of his style that even the non-dancer fans are aware of (because of bts footages, interviews etc): being the SM centre man, the ballet influence, use of neck, details with hands, fondness for isolation, engagement with the camera... And the important fact he started dancing in his late teens. THIS is why reaction/crit videos should have an actual fan input!

Yes, stan Taeyong! He is so amazing in so many ways, not just his dancing! I don't think you mentioned it, but Taeyong actually choreographed "Zoo." He also wrote and composed either partially or completely some of these songs. He is also not only leader of NCT 127 but also of NCT as a whole.
can i just say that i’ve grown to love isabel from lizzo’s show? when i found that she loves kpop during the show, i knew she was going to set higher bars for inspired kpop dancers. and i love how clay compliment taeyong’s dancing too! i would to see more of them honestly. thank you for showing love to taeyong, nct, & kpop as a whole!
The song choices are actually nice and I would recommend them as well to someone who wants to react to Taeyong's dancing but I suddenly realized there are also good songs that I'm looking for just like Boss, Sticker, Simon Says, and the list goes on -- which makes me think that Taeyong really stands out in a lot of performances where he belongs. yes, Taeyong is so talented, he also choreographed the songs from NCT127 "Bring The Noize", besides being a good dancer he also composed several songs that he wrote by himself. Taeyong is the best leader, main dancer, and main rapper and he's the face of the group too.
I'm so happy you reacted to Taeyong. I'm like a proud mom smiling and giggling when you compliment him. Especially since Taeyong just recently shared some of his hardship as an nct leader. W/c is heartbreaking when one of his managers told him if it's not number 1 then it's useless during debut to a 21 yr. Old taeyong and a teacher also put the blame on him that if nct failed it is because of him. That manager and teacher better not get a good sleep ever again. This is propably the first one out of all of these videos that youve done, where i wouldnt add anything. This had Everything i wanted to see, a good scale to see his versatility. He is definetly one of my favorite performers, not even a NCT bias but SM BIAS. Ive been following him too from pre-debut days and with all the progress we've seen, i really do think he has the potential to reach Taemin level as a dancer. He doesnt always shine in his group choreographys but thats because i think he has more important role to do there, being the one tying the performance/members together and not to stand out individually, but in his solo stuff he surely has all the needed potential. Thank you sooo much for this reaction! Taeyong is such a top-tier performer and has never once sacrificed the smaller movements or rushed through choreos which I've noticed seems to be the case of many boy group performers in an effort to appear "more powerful/aggressive". Every movement is important to him and is precise and executed with intention; he's not just following the choreo, but actually interpreting the music and allowing his body to express it accordingly like a true artist. This might be why he's known for his magnetic stage presence because he's truly PRESENT with the music. It's nothing short of awe-inspiring the amount of brutal hardwork he's put in to hone his skills to be where he is now. Especially considering he had no prior dance experience before joining the company. So he deserves all these praises and even more!

I LOVE THE WAY HE DANCES, I really do. He is my real inspiration. Sometimes I feel kind of jealous, because I’ve been dancing ever since I was born, and even though I been in different academies and testing different styles, I am not as good as him. He took around 2 years to become awesome at dancing, while me, I’ve been around 10 or more years dancing and I am not that smooth and good as he is, which makes me kind is sad and jealous at the same time. :((((

Thank you for your candid comment about feeling an understandably envy of taeyongs exceptional rise as a dancer. Even though his hard WORK is evident, for one boy to be SO gifted seems almost cosmically unfair...doesnt it You are certainly not alone in that envy. Its time to talk about HOW in highly competitive kpop top main/pro dancers (and their even more rancorous stans) have had a similar response to Dancer Taeyong and some are far less honest or open about it. The word sabotage comes to mind... Tbh, from the start ENVY has been a serious stumbling block in what SHOULD have been Taeyong's meteoric ascension AS SMs newest ACE. As the impossibly gorgeous Face of Group, strong center, formidable rapper & exceptional dancer, surely lee taeyong IS one of THE Greatest Showmen to rIse out of the theatrical kpop genre. So it may be expected that ill will & RIVALRY has a been major risk factor in his career. Maybe its a good sign that people are finally WILLING to admit that. As a remarkable rookie & legendary trainee, he earned his leader status among his peers. But as their leader, he went on to his difficult debut in NCT riddled with rumors of the smallest silliest schoolboy "scandals" that kfans took WAY too seriously! These debunked attacks resurface EVERY time taeyong moves ahead with new plans & ptojects. A hyperactive anti faction cannot stop taeyong but it HAS resulted in HOW very CAUTIOUSLY SMe promotes him in slight increments & tends to hold him back (to an infuriating degree!) when positioning him in both of his groups & now in his solo efforts (Sooman HAS trained & prepared taeyong to HAVE his deserved solo career...eventually). But for his own sake & the sake of his enterprises, caution has been required BECAUSE his every step forward is met with protest pushback & cyical efforts to derail him by mockingly minimizing his advanced skills and/or (since that tends to fail) casting doubt & slurs on his offstage life & character (a remarkably sweet unspoiled nature!) with these absurdly exaggerated accusations most dating back to a few pre idol childhood missteps! Aa a theatre publicist i grudgingly accept SMs "hard to get" strategy to keep taeyong IN demand but OUT of harms way as much as possible. Yet at times that LOOKS like a failure to promote taeyong & borders on maddening. A glaring example occured in SuperM, the Capitol Records backed ambitious & admittedly ego centric "supergroup" of top SM stars where NCTTaeyong became an adorable asset. But his TALENT seemed slighted in hurtful ways for no good reason. Or maybe SM inciting his growing fandom to leap to DEFEND their idol (even from his own company!) was the reason. Cause in the end THAT risky strategy to trigger taeyongs fisty fandom has held his antis at bay when nothing else did. To defend taeyongs place in SuperM should NOT have been necessary. No doubt drafted for his astonishing visuals insane charisma and rapid fire raps, Soomans inclusion of Lee Taeyong to be the stabilizing & unifying "MiddleLine" in SuperM was equally obvious. Coming off a popular us/world tour as leader center of SMS international juggernaut NCT127, his stateside recognition & tour saavy was essential to SuperM who frankly NEEDED lee taeyongs experience more than he needed SuperMs prestige. His looks charisms & raps are a given but it made NO sense that he was barely acknowleged for his equally strong suit as ONE of the FOUR Main Dancers in SuperM!! An inexplicable example being how, during the SuperM PR launch, the Main dancers in the other three home groups Ten (wavy) Taemin (SHINee) & Kai (EXO) were exalted in a cinematic dance off teaser that NCTcenter/main dancer Lee Taeyong was left out of! With NO rational reason given, for taeyongs fans it was a disturbing & ominous slight. For NEW fans of SuperM taeyongs exclusion from the video left the much debated impression that he was not ON the same MAIN level as the other three renown dancers when he IS every bit AS good. The ONLY possible motive i can concieve of for what looked like SuperM "demoting" taeyong was that (as is too often thr case in kpop) NEW (debunked) ATTACKS on taeyong (as a bully) were in raging & not only tainting NCT127 but marring the success of SuperM before it even debuted! SM was suddenly forced to switch gears & ditch a truly lavish pr rollout just to quell yet another stupid baseless fanwar. In the days leading up to SuperMs debut, the vitriol of taeyong antis & rival stans got SO intense that in the final days running up to the awaited Capitol Tower showcase, he had to be all but ABSENT from promotion just to GET SuperM to its first live stage (where of course he shined as part of their predictable success!) In the end it seems to me that SM elected to confrount his chronic PR problem & use his presence in superM not to promote his obvious abiity but simply to outwit his antis for once & all by retooling his "sexy scary" NCT image into an adorable maknae among a group of super maknaes. Taemin Baekhyun Kai Mark & Lucas had ALL been beloved babies in their groups and with his cute new haircut "babywolf' Taeyong also acquired HIS playful new image in SuperM. Becoming "Bubu" was a WINNING strategy less about superM "No Manners" Taeyong being admired (envied) and ALL about "lonely" taeyong finally & fully loved by all. Rivalry has existed within NCT members units & solostans as well. Simply put All the units are fire & all the members are exquisite. At times compitition to be SEEN has been intense & being the Most Seen has not always helped taeyong. For a long time Taeyong's assigned ROLE as the figurehead of the entire NCT23+ franchise was reduced to rumour to avoid fanwars. Only the 2021 Resonance era finally fully established his position & the stunning unstoppable Make A Wish collab sealed the deal. Even in his own 127squad that he so ably leads, there are sibling rivalies. AS a true team player taeyong has often taken a step back to seamlessly blend his skill level with his crew. All the 127 idols are extremely able & highly trained artists. Together they have become truly formidable kpop icons. But now that we have seen taeyong dancing HIS choreography with Bada & Company his next level dance skills have shown forth. Also...his voice. As a rapper taeyong is singular & well matchedwith Mark but until recently in his solos, lee taeyong has rarely sung. Perhaps to show deference to the already overloaded and phenomenally gifted 127 vocal line. Or maybe taeyong has humbly HIDDEN the last ditch straw in his supremacy...that he HAS a truly lovely broadway bound and/or rockstar worthy SINGING voice. Not ON Doyoung or Taeils scale but he CAN hit The Notes. He HAS trained to SING but that we didnt KNOW that till now is almost as if he feared if the fact that he SINGS too came out all other idols would just pack their bat & ball and...go home. Not to worry, though. In part due to his excellent example influence & guidance ALL of NCT has matured into exceptionsl multifaceted idols who are expanding their skillsets in their own right. He gets to do it too. It does appear that as they return to post covid touring Taeyong is if anything more bonded with his beloved group. But at this stage he has done his duty as leader so he is also feeling freer to BE his own personal best and...as we are seeing...that best is yet to come.
NCT's dancers are unfortunately pretty underrated even inside the fandom and Taeyong would be the primary example, he can get downplayed frequently simply because he doesnt have a 'background' but so many people giving him the recognition he deserves lately rlly bouta make me sob- 😭

I loove your reaction.. and knowledgeble. Thank you. Taeyong MADE the ZOO choreo... with HELP for perfection from Bada. In pre debut he is rival with Ten but they really respect each other then they make NCT U for Baby Don't Stop.. you can see the difference of their dance there. Taeyong is really perfectionist, he manage to dance well from zero.. he was not learning anything before, so the teacher told him he was a blank paper.. you can paint anything on Taeyong. TY seeks perfection... so he allowed the teacher to scold him in front of the trainees because his score should be 101 out of 100. Through hard work he really made it, he said he really practice until the ground shake. Please support Taeyong!! He has a really BIG responsibility as NCT leader. Every leader knows how big that is.

I am Clay and Isabel every time I see Taeyong dancing, no matter how many times I do it. I love his strength, versatility, style and I'm also a fan of his neck🤭. Sometimes I think he's going to run out of it. Taeyong is incredibly talented! One of the best without a doubt!💚💚💚
what I love about taeyong the most is his real dancing style is very different from his style in the group but he makes it look so effortless and he always trying new stuff is honorable... I really love him...

Isabel is true. Taeyong is a perfect center. I never saw a center in kpop group as perfect as taeyong, who can really bring the group performance to the next level and make the group look stronger. I mean, you know, a lot of kpop centers are there but they are good for themselves. But taeyong is different, his center aura is not selfish. When he is performing as a center, idk why I feel like the group look more secure and automatically the other members will also give their 100%, that's why NCT 127 performances always look strong and stunning. I guess NCT 127 members also feel the same, taeyong's presence makes them less worried when performing And I'm also curious with your reaction to Shotaro. He is the only NCT member who came from dance background (professionally). He was in a dance crew and even joined dance competitions including WOD Japan. You will notice how different he is in NCT
