Momo is so good at finding balance as a dancer between herself and being a member of Twice. They have a very feminine, upbeat image but this video proved she’s capable of pulling off more sexier, more powerful choreography outside of her work with members. Being open to trying a style of dance that you’re unfamiliar with strengthens you as a performer as whole. She’s never limited herself and gave 100% each time she tried something different. Her work ethic is so admirable. As an idol and dancer, she improved on finding her own unique color by taking risks and it pays off when you watch this entire video! She never limited herself by genre, whether that be music or different styles of dance! And with each performance she’s more comfortable and bolder, it’s evident in the groups more recent comebacks like cry for me and alcohol free. Great video Steezy!
As a dancer myself, Momo for me has the best control on her body. She has the smoothest and cleanest movements, and her versatility is immeasurable. She improved alot during the years. What makes Momo different from other dancers is she doesn't need to go all out, shes not letting herself lose her control, unlike others who just wants to impress the audience. When you watch her, you're like watching Art. You'll feel her passion, her love for dancing..
Her performance in Taemin's Move was just stunning. She captured the sexy feeling of the song was so perfectly engaged the whole time, never overdoing it
I think that other then her dance, Momo has improved and learnt how to get comfortable in her own skin.... it's my first time seeing her and I can really see her embrace herself in dance sooo cool, something I have yet to do !!! Also BIG thankyou to STEEZY for pumping out amazing videos every week😁😁😁
i’m not sure if people know about this but for momo’s performance project, she learned both choreographies SUPER quickly. the dance with the red outfit only took her two hours to learn!!!🤯 i’ve been a twice fan (momo is my bias lol) since 2018 and it’s amazing to see momo’s dance skills and her confidence grow over the years. she’s doing an amazing job and it makes me very happy to see people acknowledge it ☺️💗
I think Momo now knows and understands her body even more. I can see that she’s more relaxed but at the same time confident in moving her body and hitting those choreographies. And as an effect, she moves much lighter and controls those strong or powerful steps better. 😍 P.S. She’s really on 🔥 with that last video! Ugh!
I loved this reaction, a lot of people don't notice her presence, power and talent. Thank you!! Momo has solo dance videos, which she dances Twice's songs alone. There is only 3 sadly. Fancy, I Can't Stop Me and Yes or Yes
@@onceblink4495 people do notice momo's presence, power and talent but they most definitely take it for granted, seen way too many onces dismiss momo to praise the other members
im so proud of her! people are so quick to discredit her bc of the M&M encore, as if every idol hasn’t messed up before. even tho JYP is mostly to blame for making her sing past her capabilities in the first place, its good to see that she can still shine.
@@ed3245 i hope she gets one 🙏 pretty sure JYPE posted smth along the lines of ‘solo and unit activities’ which kind of implies that some members may not get their own solos😭😭 lets stay optimistic!
One thing I believe that Momo has improved the most in as a dancer throughout her whole career is her relaxation during the whole performance. Like you’ve said in the video, she’s a lot more groovy now and she is skilled enough to know when to hit with her whole body, when to constrain, and when to let go. She just makes it looks effortless and easy but clean at the same time ITS CRAZYYY
Momo's grace has really improved since 2014. As in she's a lot more fluid with her movements and make them seem so easy when they're really not. Such an inspiration!!
I think Momo's an example of talent nurtured with hard work. She's consistently improved with her popping, and dances perfectly on beat now, despite the same energy and presence. In the start, she was a sensual, natural dancer, but by the end her movements were so smooth and fluid it was akin to a pro. Her movements also appeared more free and confident with time and her versatility with switching styles was awesome. She additionally has really improved in not just wide movements, but the slight subtleties and nuances of her dance, especially seen in Vampire, Performance, and BBWYUG. Also, love Steezy's effort in breaking down popular dances in an effortless manner and including dance lingo so naturally. I'd love to see more here, definitely subscribed.
I honestly think she's improved the most in realizing who she is as a dancer. Instead of just seeing herself as most see her, an "idol dancer", she was able to discover herself as her own dancer. She has found a sweet spot in her dancing where she has balance and understanding and has reached such a point to where she can remain stable while learning so much more. She seems to be so much more happy and comfortable doing any dance these days and you can see by that joy in her dance that she no longer feels that pressure as if she needs to please others or go by what they believe she is as a dancer. I'm really just proud of her and am so happy that she is getting the recognition she deserves instead of being compared to everyone else in the celeb dancers and dancers industries. A queen indeed.👑👑
Yesssss I'm glad there are people who also notice that it's like a whole lot of pressure is being lift away from her shoulder. No longer the need to prove herself
I feel like although momo has been always sharp her attention to detail really improved, even while doing slow and bigger movements she adds texture and flows in a way that is very pleasing to watch, at least that's what makes her stand out for me between so many members while dancing. That's something that shows how hard she works and how much she values her performance, true legend 👏 🙌
momo’s stage presence has gotten more and more (hehe) insane over the years! she always had a clear stage persona, but as she has gained more experience and explored different styles, she has definitely become a force to be reckoned with when she’s dancing. she’s the centre of attention even when dancing in a group!! :)
Just Momo's body control, that makes everything look so clean.🙌 But also, as you said creating that contrast between hit & groove and then her expressions/acting are just the 🍒 on top! 🌟 Loved the Reacting Video 💜
Momo is an artist that is so versatile! One way she has improved over the years is in her controlled power! Her movements carry such power and control even in the simplest moves :)
That’s Hirai momo for you, she already captivated me back then with her dancing, but today, I just cannot take my eyes away from her, watching her fancam, her performances, idk she is just phenomenal, among these talents I would say the confidence she has regained after sixteen little by little, and who feels a lot when she dances, it shows through the screen and i live for momo and her confidence on stage
Momo improved so much oh my gooooosh~ I never knew that much about her dance journey, but it was so inspiring. I think she improved the most on knowing how to USE her control. She obviously had a lot of control in her first performance, but she learned how to apply it to different parts of her body and moments in the music to bring her dancing to the next level.
I think the Crazy in Love performance was a huge turning point for her. Especially doing a style that she had no prior training in - that took a lot of confidence and trust in herself to do it so elegantly and gracefully. I think it also showed everyone that she was more than just the “sassy, sexy dancer” which is great that she has that - don’t get me wrong - but every dancer (myself include) wants to show more than just their strengths. She’s an inspiration and inspires me to even do better and get more uncomfortable with styles I may not be all too great in. ❤️
Momo's style has blended really well with the different concepts Twice has put out over the years. Her dancing really stands out in their performances and is a big part of Twice's uniqueness. Glad to see that her skills are appreciated, even outside of K-pop!
Momo has been training like fire lately and I cant wait to see more training videos and produced videos of her dancing more styles (esp hardcore hip hop I WISHHHHH) ooh and freestyling I think Momo has improved mostly in body control and movement versatility (e.g. technique like when to use strength/power vs fluidity)
MOMO is someone who can dance as the cutest to hottest in an instant ! She is not bound to only one genre of dance ! She is a great learner and very passionate about dancing hence always practicing to improve herself. Her grace , flexibility , expressions , smoothness in completing steps on beats... ..etc. are always on point but mainly her energy , the vibes you get from watching Momo dance can alone energise anyone. Such a complete dancer , a great talent and a master of her field. She is the best female dancer ever in Kpop industry because she has everything you could ever want in a dancer.
Honestly, Momo has been improving her dance a lot... But as a singer who wants to learn dance, the most I'm proud of her for, improvement wise, is her vocals, facial expression and performance. We always knew she had the potential to be a great dancer, but she's becoming an all round performer and I love it. I wish I could be as good as her.
I think she has found her style and she is confident about it, she always has had a great body control but now she looks immersed with the choreos and has kinda a balance with the powerful but soft movements
Her angle controls and musicality shows the most improvementtt. Significantly since the Taemin-Move cover and after. She hits all the details right on time, no rushing, you can see she’s riding the dynamics of every songs.
The times I'm able to break away from watching Momo I can see Linda just giddily grinning so proudly, I love it! So happy with the respect and support Momo's gotten, feels like we're watching such a shining star grow into her own.
This video made me appreciate Momo’s talent on a whole new level. I already knew she was a great dancer but the way they went into detail made everything even more impressive. You can really see all these little details, and movements that are so specific to Momo. I have a whole new perspective and a newfound respect for Momo’s dancing that I didn’t have before.
In my opinion I think that Momo has reaaally fine tuned the details in a lot of her popular movements and just in the way she dances in general so her body(or spine ) control stands out even more, also its nice to see more versatility in her styles so we get to see more of what she could pull off if she tried.
Love to see a video review of Momo's dance skills done by experts. You see way too many critical comments on compilations of her dance performances that are so blatantly trolls that don't know their left foot from their right. So this is so refreshing
RIGHT i hate how so many people’s criticism towards her are solely to uplift their own bias, as if we can’t have multiple idols who are great dancers. So frustrating.
I would say her feeling/groove and energy got a lot better. Nowadays she just knows where to put more energy, and where less and understands the music, choreography and dance better. This just shows her hard work!! In the beginning, she looked a bit weird in some parts but these days it's not like that anymore because she has the groove now.
As a momo stan, I am very happy to can see her involved in a variety of dance styles, and she dances more smoothly more confidence now and enjoys it. Her body control is insane. I am also very grateful to the "real professional dancer" to see her dance skills and growth. Momo is a amazing dancer. Her dancing makes me feel like the music follows her instead of her following the music
she has always been such a great dancer but I noticed her facial expressions and body isolations improved so much. She is such a powerful dancer and inspo for me. Loved how in the video they acknowledged Momo's talent.
I think that Momo has improve a lot in other styles because she enter into sixteen like a good dancers and show the best she had but I think that it was the same style. Now we can saw other facets of her dance and see how much she has improved. I love you Momo ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank y’all for showing our Momo so much love ❤️ I’m very proud of her! Momo’s musicality is unrivaled amongst other female idols. I’ve had the privilege of seeing her live and in person and videos just don’t do her true justice. Her power, precision and grace are mind blowing 🤯 GET IT MOMORING!!!!
I love love love Momo’s power in her moves & the way she includes her own style into every type of dance she does !!! As her dance vocab grows, her dance style is also evolving with it and it’s so inspiring 🤧😍💙
I think Momo has improved in so many ways. I’m so proud of her. She has so much more control and power in her movements. She also looks much more confident in what she is doing.
I love how it was mentioned at the very end of the video that Momo has improved drastically on her "relaxed" dancing methods to make her stage presence look effortless and more natural vs. choreographed and focusing on hitting moves.
hitting hard without looking over the top!! there’s the joke that it looks like twice is dancing to “pay the bills” because they go hard every time even though they’re not a rookie group anymore, but momo makes the choreo look easy while still hitting all the extensions and textures (i mean just look at their taemin move cover) because of her great body control so she always looks so clean and interesting to watch even within the larger group!! (edit: i went on a momo dance binge after this and also had to add that her SHAPES are so good, i love how she hits big moments)
Momo is the best female dancer in kpop. No matter what other fandoms say, when her idols can't even dance elaborate and complicated choreography like Momo can dance. Apart from that, she is good at free dancing and even does her own choreography.
The one thing that Momo has improved the most is versatility I would say. She was always one of the best from the debut but now she just rocks it with such different stages and styles. She finds grooviness in hip hop, stamina and control in contemporary dance, sharpness and sexiness in high heels… She’s absolutely amazing!
i don’t even know momo or twice that well but momo has such good organization and balance when dancing. she’s so clean and mesmerizing to watch. beautiful performer.
I think Momo really improved in her confidence and also in the fluidity of her movements. Her energy is so much stronger now and translates well and her movement flows so naturally
Momo has improved her star quality and stage presence! It is one thing to be a great dancer and another to be a great performer. I think going into Sixteen, Momo was already a great dancer but now she is an amazing performer and just captures the audience's attention. We also have the same bday!
I think momo has improved the most in showing her versatility and control when it comes to certain movement since she’s always dancing so powerfully and sharp, the movements when she shows the laxness in her muscles and that confidence has really improved
Momo improved her body control , she was great but now I think she can do better in some moments of the music using contraction. She is more confident and uses the space around her so well!
I think Momo has always had confidence but she definitely improved her facial expressions and getting to know which story and how she wanted to portray that story through her dance performances and trying different genres and the likely performance shows how much she enjoys dancing her own style, and she’s quite powerful with her moves but still smooth which makes each move isolated/ fixated in a way so you can clearly see everything she does Stan Twice
The one thing that momo improved the most is how she controls her body in any way of like wether it be a sad, cute, sexy,or up beat song. She pushes herself to be like an ace where she does all genres. Along with the way how she expresses on how she danced and very much shows how defined it is. Oh and confidence she is way more confident on how she dances she will literally dance in front of thousands of people and dance like no one is watching. That’s on one of the many reasons why I love momo is truly is one of my dance inspirations.
I grew up watching and listening to Twice, and Momo has become one of my greatest inspirations. She sparked my passion for dance and performing, and their is something about her that gives me so much drive to improve. Momo has grown so much as a dancer and a huge thing that I’ve noticed throughout the years, is her rise in confidence. When I go back to watch old videos of Momo I notice a lack of self-assurance, which is made obvious, and doesn’t allow her to showcase her full strengths, her growth is truly inspiring and honestly makes me a bit emotion, she dances with a lot more confidence and power, you can tell that she has let lose on being so hard on herself and has allowed her to be more free but still controlled with her body. Her dancing has defiantly matured and is sharper, but when it comes to being a dancer, confidence in oneself is the most important. LETS GO MOMO AND TWICE
I've followed Momo very very closely since I became a ONCE, as I'm a dancer as well. Dance-wise, Momo has continued to keep honing her already impressive versatility and skills. She has gotten really good at moving from different sides of the texture and vibe spectrum. She can put ANY kind of emotion into her performance and deliver it to viewers, in the audience or behind the camera. She is able to do a lot of traditional hiphop styles in addition to her open style right now. I'm also glad to say that she's gotten comfortable in being an idol, and that she is able to express herself more and clearly now in many ways. I'm also glad that with TWICE entering their 7th year, she is now getting more opportunities to demonstrate her side as a dancer! I'm looking forward to her next performance projects or even dance class vids so I can attempt to cover them 😂 She has truly put in the work and has come very very far, and I'm super duper uber proud of her! Thanks for featuring our main dancer, Steezy!!!
I love that they reacted to videos I've never seen others reacting to before. I've always been proud of Momo's hit the stage performances. I feel that although dance was the most important, momo aced the emotions in a way i've never seen before. it was SO real. I think the emotions + dance made her 2 performances completely unforgettable for me.
I love seeing her trying different styles to grow! Every genre has varying strengths/skills they focus on, and I think that the more she dipped into things outside of her comfort zone the more confidence she had in her abilities and performance.
I think that Momo back then had a strong attitude when dancing which showed confidence in her moves. She was very good at head and floor move routines. The fact that she was able to strengthen them and improve hand movements along with trying different dance genres it's admirable. Since achieving smooth and powerful movements at the same time is a big challenge for dancers. Thank you Steezy for gifting us with this video. I love it.
Momo has been dancing since she was 3 years old so you can definitely see her hardwork paid off. Definitely talented but it's the years of training and continuous dedication to her craft that makes her excel in dancing even more. And I'm glad so many dancers can see how amazing she is and applaud her for it. I just know our girl has already watched this or will be watching this in the near future. Either way, I hope you know Momo that we love you and so proud of you. You've come a long way and we'll support you forever.
I'm teary eyed watching this Momo is really a very good and humble dancer and seeing how someone pointed that out is something. Twice will not be Twice without Momo
Momo is a great dancer since begining but now she improved a lot in her textures and contrast between streth and groove in her moves. Love whatching her grown :")
She has so much more control in her body now, in 2015 she looked so stiff and tense. To see her improve to the point where not only does she have more groove but you can tell her movements are more intentional. I also think she improved on performing whether it was character or just stage presence and it definitely showed during the dance competition in 2016. also her just finding her style on performing is a huge breakthrough and especially showed during twice’s dance break in 2020 and in 2022 Instagram dance video.
It's been mentioned, but I'm so proud of Momo's versatility! We've seen her go from her sexy, sultry solo choreographies she's killed early in her career to her well-rounded, interesting performances no matter what concepts she's tackling. You picked a great array of performances here, but I've not seen ANYONE tackle Taemin's MOVE like Momo has. I thought that performance was completely untouchable, and while I admire it as Taemin's magnum opus as a teeny Shawol I have so much respect for Momo as the incredible dancer she is :) thank you for highlighting her growth for us!
It’s nice to see a host like Linda that it’s pretty well informed about the subject of the video. Her Once blood may be a bit too noticeable, but still the knowledge about little background details she communicates to the “first timer” guest makes the whole video work perfectly.
twice was the first kpop group i knew and i instantly liked them. when i watched a twice mv from a classmate, momo was the first member i locked my eyes on. and from that moment, she was the first idol in kpop that i liked. her stage presence is RAGING. I LOVE HER SM
Her confidence in her own dance ability has definitely grown over the years. She looks so much more confident in her moves, finding her own style and omg her technique is incredible now😍 she improved a lot in terms of letting her body feel the music which caused her to have a lot more groove. She mostly just turned into this super confident and hella great dancer😍
Momo has improved alot in all her skills but i guess we are talking about dance here. Her lines are unique from the start but she used this ability more as time passed. Her energy are also more on full level . Her lines are stronger and she uses her unique lines everywhere and not just some part, she locks her move perfectly and her dance are more powerful
you can watch n compare dance covers with same song and also compare it with other members and her dance is really defined and sharp and powerful. it's amazing
okay but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE linda wang here like her research and informations about momo are so on point!! it was definitely a good decision to invite her👏
Momo is an incredible dancer 🔥🔥 Thank you for giving her the appreciation she deserves. She would be so happy seeing this. She is the sweetest and a powerhouse of talent ❤️❤️ Thank you so much again. For loving her ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think something that Momo has truly improved on is her duality, not only while doing visuals but having her body replicating the emotions she is trying to put out. It's almost like a life imitating content as we can see in the Vampire performance as her body is more stuttery than smooth like the horror genre itself.
That's why she's my ultimate bias! The first time I saw their performance video of Their debut song Like ooh ahh wherein they are doing the dance break, she caught already my attention. The way she dance, you can already know who owns the position of Main Dancer!
There is a reason why Momo is the Dance Queen, even some of the most famous Kpop Main Dancers recognize her one of the absolute best Dancers in current Kpop
Wow, I actually didn't know the dance break in Likey was choreographed by her! It's one of the coolest dance breaks in kpop imo and I've had several non-kpop stans compliment it! She is SO brilliant when it comes to self-expression, and that actually ties to my comment on what I think she has improved the most: her freestyle. Momo's freestyle has improved enormously, but that's because that was the only thing she was actually weak at, and you can see that very well in the Unnies (Sister's Slam Dunk) S2 episode where she has a dance battle with Minzy [former-2NE1, for those newer to kpop] and you can see the difference between her and a more experienced dancer. She used to repeat a lot of the same moves and it didn't seem like her choreographies had any theme in particular, while Minzy seemed like she knew what she wanted to do with the choreo from the start. Nowadays, Momo's much better at creating a cohesive choreography that follows a theme on a freestyle battle, and that is extremely challenging for any dancer, because you have to improvise and create the whole thing on the spot! You can tell there is intent from the start now with Momo, and she's not just executing some movements, but planning them ahead - and even more, picking them with meaning and intent! She's a much fuller dancer and performer now, and that's what happens to any talented dancer with diligence, practice and experience (both dancing and choreographing).
I feel like the thing Momo has improved the most in is her confidence! Like the way she moves just exudes "I know I'm the best at this" now, and we eat it up!
Momo is simply amazing! I love her energy and her choreography is so uniquely her. Even though she stands out in groups, she understands the meaning of dancing as a unit. She leverages her flexibility and uses the different textures her body is capable of to her advantage. She is not afraid to try new styles and integrate them with her own - which you don't always see in a lot of kpop groups. Love these videos - can't wait to watch more!
