Happy Sunday morning, all! This is just a feel-good song that we thought would be cool to put on a couple guitars and have some fun with this merry Sunday day. Fun fact: the Baha Men have also covered this song, and upon wandering over to their RU-vid channel to re-visit “Who Let the Dogs Out” after learning that, I discovered that “Who Let the Dogs Out” is also a cover. Who knew?

Reina del Cid is a singer songwriter and leader of the eponymous folk rock band based in Los Angeles and Minnesota. Her song-a-week video series, Sunday Mornings with Reina del Cid, has amassed a devoted and diverse following made up of everyone from jamheads to college students to white-haired intelligentsia. In 2011 she began collaborating with Toni Lindgren, who is the lead guitarist on all three of Del Cid’s albums, as well as a frequent and much beloved guest on the Sunday Morning videos. The Sunday Morning videos also feature a rotating cast of bandmates, special guests, and occasional random bystanders.

Emily Graham I perceive Toni as person that doesn’t care about whose name is on what video. She is a true musician that loves making music with her friends. Her talent and demeanor places her name on everything she does. She has her own channel, by the way.

It does an old hippies heart good to hear 2 young ladies preforming so many old classic tunes. I love the way the 2 of you are so on the same page all the time, you complement each other amazingly well. You put your own spin on everything you do but still stay very true to the original. Syncopation, bass line, and head voice Toni's choice of rhythm and her use of a bass line at around 1:56 in, set up Rachelle's beautiful, but all to brief switch to head voice. This rendition is a lesson for performing musicians who want to know what is meant by "less is more". As always, thank you...

As I'm listening and watching this for about the umpteenth time I have so much respect for both Reina and Toni. Part of what makes a good musician or a good ensemble work is the ability to play off of each other and to recognize each other's strengths and weaknesses. Well these two and the boys really have no weaknesses because they are all such consummate musicians, but they share the stage with each other and genuinely enjoy the music. So refreshing. It's also interesting to note that the comments stay relatively troll-free. Every once in a while you get some ding-a-ling who can't appreciate their talent, but not so often. Mostly it's just us who tune in each week or put Facebook on while we're at work or cooking dinner to listen to your tunes. Thank you so much May God continue to bless you and keep you safe and okay during these days of COVID19

The original song was written as "Dancing after Midnight". A producer suggested the change for the album but a 45 was printed. If you can find one it's worth big money.

So was I and many folks say that era was tops. As a youth at that time I heard the generations before me say that same thing. As an observation of mine today, we are currently in the midst of very fine talent that folks will be reminiscing in forty or so years. Everything changes but it remains the same.
